As a previous Yu-Gi-Oh! player, I love the attention to detail and considerations you make for double sleeving. I would love to hear your thought about triple sleeving in another video.
There's some cool news, though it means this video will take awhile to come. Dragon Shield just announced Outer Sleeves! These arrive around July, so I will do another video for sleeves at the time!
I collected pokemon at the start. I collected yugioh at the start. Never played either of them competitively just collected but here i am, 32 years old and got into lorcana right before set 1 and we're already revealing set 5. This is the first time I'm going to attempt to play a tcg for real and this video is extremely helpful when it comes to sleeving my cards. These $65 beasts, $50 diablos, $45 Robin Hoods & $30 Ursulas need all the protection they can get 😅

Do I use dual mattes for inner or outer sleeves. For standard size cards
The moisture part is opposite depemdimg on the case. There was a video that explained that foil cards bend because of a lack of moisture. They then proceeded to demonstrate by placing moisture packets in a plastick container with foil cards that started unbending over the course of a week to a month more or less. What does happen if there is too much humidity is that the sleeves will stick to each other and, in some cases, cards stick to each other like what happened with few of mine after turning of the ac for a few days. Lomg story short, not enough moisture makes foils bend. Too much moisture makes cards and sleeves stick.
So I am totally new to tcg collecting but always wanted to start a collection. Lorcana is going to be it. After watching this video I bought some sleeves in preparation. My wife asked why don’t you just laminate the cards? I don’t have an answer to this question? I assume there is a good reason people don’t?
Quite a few reasons. You wouldnt be able to get them have the same consistent size and edge, which if you take part in any event, all the cards in the deck must be exactly the same.
Also laminating does use heat to seal, which means you can easily smudge the ink or even outright damage the card, possibly making the card unplayable. So laminating your cards is definitely a bad idea!

i would like to mention ultra pro standard fit sleeves which are really good and even cheaper than any of these options which cost $7-$8 for 500 sleeves or $12 for 1000 sleeves making them the cheapest option i dont recommend the matte sleeves which is why i think there quality sleeves isnt the best but there clear sleeves are super good especially as an outer sleeve when you double sleeve but while they will prevent from most stuff they arent perfect but they are a perfect budget option at 5x cheaper than dragon shield and 10x cheaper than katana ultimate guard
Thank you for your comment, I definitely agree that Ultra Pros are definitely much cheaper! Everyone will have a different opinion on which they prefer as an outer sleeve since the way it feels in hand is different, so if the Ultra Pro are perfect for you, then go for it!

Dragon matte sleeves only for playing? Or collecting as well? Seems like matte colored sleeves are mostly for playing but I want high quality sleeves to double sleeve before using top loaders for collecting
