We never have to leave!” Step inside designer Alison Hall’s luxe family home, starting with the grand foyer that features classic elements like checkerboard floors, a Morris lantern and beautiful arches. This house was designed for entertaining with an expansive kitchen, double-height living room and luxurious backyard with multiple zones including a pool, dining area and cabana (with beer on tap!).

The design is beautiful! The use of wood and reclaimed wood was inspired as it really warms those large spaces. As for the outdoor space? Well that’s pretty gorgeous too ! Well done!

The master bedroom is lovely, as well as the living room. Too much black n white in the kitchen, would feel cold in winter.
The backyard is definitely a luxurious space, no need to leave home😂

Too much excess - there is half a mountain missing in Italy for that bathroom. So over it!
The house has a very practical layout and likely very comfortable for family living. For me there is something lacking in the interior. It looks lifeless. The flowers and the rug in the kitchen were beautiful. Introducing some more colour and pattern would be great. Also, missing art and plant life. Every home, luxury or not, needs beautiful creations to look at.Perhaps that is in the future. Also, the backyard lacks green space. It’s all pool and concrete. This does not speak luxury to me. Not even a small patch of green landscaping. Again, rather lifeless.
I would challenge you to watch it again and count how many pieces of art and how many plants and flowers there are. Do you need an eye test?
@@thelalanz73I took your challenge. You are absolutely right. There is art work and there are plants. I did miss almost all of them. I think it pertains to the strong and large architectural windows. They dwarf the art. Did not take note of any particularly great plant life on my second look. Perhaps scale too small. My conclusion remains that it is a lifeless space. Perhaps the goal is staging for a prompt resale and the goal is to emphasize the windows. If so, goal attained.

From an ecological point of view, there is so much wasted. Water for the swimming pool, and the artificial grass. Apart from that, there is every single trend included. Personality?

Just because someone made the decision that arches are in, doesn't mean you have to use them. Arches are awful, they actually make the room look smaller. It's just a anther money grab to make people think they are new, so that designers and builders sell an illusion to the buyer that they are "the new thing". It's iron because interior designers are supposed to guide you to the new trends, and they are just sheep, copying everyone else lol
