Knight Varga Interiors designs a custom-built home in West Vancouver. “We brought in a lot of exterior elements inside with earth tones and textures,” says designer Nicole Varga. Don't miss the 6-foot double sided fireplace, a curvy steel staircase and the lower level entertaining zone.

This has got to be my favorite home on this channel, the ultimate dream home! Kudos to the designers and the team, absolutely stunning!

The main floor looks more like an office space but I appreciate the work that must have went in there.

While I can see so much work has gone into this, I would love to see a new original, brave and beautiful direction in design.

I love what they did with such an obviously constrained budget... 😂 (It is really beautiful though. So jealous of those arches. ❤)

They're obviously what do to with the layout and what's that for. They are not just thinking about the image but the purpose as well. Truly inspiring! ✨✨

Love the layout. The millwork is incredible. Just one thing lacking… no art and little space for adding it. Having a TV up high and over the fireplace is not my favourite design. The arches defining the dinning room are brilliant.

Stunning house! I love the "oven wall" (not averse to dark wall but the designers really did a great job). I love the 2 "rooms" behind it. That was really a great idea to have a pantry which can double as a "morning/breaksfast" kitchen. And the stairs are gorgeous. Oh and I love the masters bath 👏👏👏🩷🩷🩷

Love the arches in the main space. Nice to see a house from Vancouver featured on the show. And I think this house will age well. I see myself there

I think the Pendant light on the bar area best fit in kitchen island.

The back of the house is where you have the front door. Okay. @2:24, how do you change a blown bulb? @4:51, while I don't care for an island, I do like the the pared back stonework. @4:54, love the flat, thin trim on the cabinetry. @6:04, that is a big boot room and creepily tidy. @6:53, I would have enclosed the kitchen like that. It's a soulless trophy home that needs colour and texture.

They should've picked other colors for their outfit. They look so blended with the surroundings, LOL.

A lot of thought and work went into the home. Congrats to all. The designers speak of wanting a warm atmosphere. I do not think they have attained this despite many lovely individual elements. Not sure why…Perhaps it’s the somber color palette? Perhaps too many industrial features like the interior framing of the rooms? Certainly could use some artwork. After studying the rooms, the only thing I could be sure of is that the entry way room divider does not work. Why would someone not want to have a direct view of their dining room from the entry? With the low profile table, the eye immediately takes in the windows and view. What could be more joyful than walking into a room with view? The divider is plain irritating.

a forever home needs a master bedroom and ensuite on the main floor, just saying.

Large home , nice large windows.
Dark arches and slatted wood elements everywhere look outdated already. Inclosed staircase is an anomaly in the open concept house. Some minimalistic houses feel spectacular but Somehow this house has no soul.

Too much wood in the living. Too much open shelves. The shelve by the dining table is out of space. Black arches are dreadful. Potlights in the kitchen do not look good, too many of them. If you do led magnetic tracks it would look stanning. Staircase shape is too much to handle. The best is a bedroom because of its simplicity.

I love the black wood bench by the front door, the mudroom, and the dark stone in the kitchen and powder room. However, the bookshelf by the stairs and dining room looks out of place and cheapens the overall look of the room, in my opinion. Additionally, they should have installed a doggie door to allow their dogs to go in and out by themselves.

love this house but it kinda feels like walking into an office or hotel. A little disappointed on the monotone interior, maybe a few more colours or personal touches could have been nice.

  • @Lucas-vd2gx

It is a really nice project, the colours and materials are of really great taste but those archs do not match the rest, the only piece of design that has curves in the entire house other than the tube and the high chairs. It looks disconnected from the rest.

    • @AP12360
      @AP12360 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

I agree. They look out of place. I think the homeowners will likely dislike them within a year. Additionally, there is a noticeable gap between the black arches and wood, which looks weird, in my opinion.

@@AP12360 Yeah, I have to agree. Even at 1:41 mark, where you can see the patio with the 90 degree lines on the ceiling. Only think I would change in the project is those arches.

Too much wood in the living. Too much hated open shelves. The arches are ridiculeus, why they made these rounded corners? Staircase shape is not attractive neither. The best is the bedroom because of the simplicity.
