As a devote Protestant who works at a church I love the conversations of Matt Fradd as another perspective. I love my Catholic brothers and sisters in the faith who are truly passionate about the things of God

When I watched Bishop Barron talk with Shia LeBeouf the way he spoke about Fr/Brother James and how his quiet gentle, presence and hand on his shoulder calmed him while he was in the midst of a storm. I imagine Padre Pio working through him. The lesson is we can all be saints while alive, take from their example.

I had the exact same experience when meeting Cardinal Burke in a room of about 300 people. He looked at me as if I was the only person in the room. I have never experienced that before. Holiness is palpable.

Everytime I read up more on the life of a saint or a deeply devout non-canonized person (like Tolkien), I'm surprised how ordinary they were. No matter if it's a near-contemporary fantasy writer or an ancient hermit, they all cried, laughed, had dear friends. It's very moving and encouraging at the same time.

“The sacrament of the present moment”… so profound … This is the first time I have ever heard that phrase and explained in such a perfect way by both you gentlemen… I think perhaps it may change my life.

The content was great, but the best part of this clip was just watching the effect Dr. Kreeft had on Matt.

Is that the correct link to the full episode? It takes me to an interview with Michael Lofton. It's also a good episode but I'm not sure it's the one you meant. 🙂

Hmmm. As soon as you think of the present it has already become the past. I think Our Father, Jesus and the Holy Spirit are in our future. Always beckoning us to them. 😊

I just always think of it how God stands outside of time. So when we get to the future he will be present then too. The same way he was present in the past as well. 😊
