Focus Cup Round 1 Race 2 Donington Park 2024

Race 2 we were starting 6th on the grid after the reverse format. We had a great start off the line and went 3/4 cars wide into turn 1. We were on the inside and were able to put our foot down and take second place going down the hill chasing first. Still on lap 1 we were able to take the lead on the back straight just before the chicane. After we took the lead there was no chasing us, we were able to put in consistent fast laps and by the end of the race we crossed the line with a lead of nearly 7 seconds and taking the fastest lap again with a 1:26.2.
We finished the day with maximum points taken giving ourselves the perfect start to the season. Let’s hope this continues when we are back out in May at Brands Hatch on the GP loop.
