Nothing better than a C7 RS6 PERFORMANCE. I am proud to say that I am an owner of one, and I absolutely love it to bits. Audi and made a practical car that goes like a rocket!!!
Hey there, I 100% agree that rs6 si ultimate machine. I have ‘16 a6 with 3.0BiTdi and competition package. Has the looks, has speed, but is missing the sound and raw performance. @@matuscernek5605 Just as you, I've got a '16 BiTDI Competition which - for me - already has a right oomph. LOVE this car. With a little chip tune getting it to 400+ bhp and 800+ Nm it'll leave S6'es in the dust, while still doing 35 mpg, I will probably only be watching RS6 videos to swoon by the ground shattering sound of this amazing engine. A mere slip on the tongue. I do know know quite a lot though. Have you ever got something wrong, if not let me know how that feels, as you must be perfect in every way! 😂😂
I personally don't mind the aging interior. I actually really like it. Yeah it would be nice if it had the full screen gauge cluster that the RS3 8V or RS4 in the later versions had, but I prefer the physical buttons in the RS6 C7 over the all-screen inputs of the A6 C8 (or RS6 C8 for that matter). I mean, for example setting your climate controls or heated seats using the touch screen, without any tactile feedback is outright dangerous while driving because you have to take your look off the road to find the correct areas to touch.
Had my C7 from new- now done 180,000 miles and still goes like sheep off a shepherd. Usual Audi electrical gremlins but does the job. All of them. Very quickly.
Great video. I have run a C7 from 2013 to 2022 (now got rid of). Fuel consumption is a nightmare. 5 sets of new brakes and discs at 3K a time. 5 sets of tyres at £1300 a time. There is no point trying to save pennys with this car, or you are mad. It demands the best of everything, or else!
I am a proud owner of the weaker 560 hp version and loved driving ist the past 4 years. One remark: it cones with a 8 speed torque converter gear box. The S6 has the 7 speed double clutch.
Awesome bit of kit!! Realised this after I had put it out on TH-cam. Slip of the tongue, but actually it is a compliment as the 8 speed auto is brilliant, the changes feel so sharp that I thought it was a double clutch!
I own a c7 from new and I agree with your comments - I cannot justify throwing my car in part exchange plus another 70 odd grand to get a c8 which I dont think will be much quicker. Also I have to mention the fuel consumption is not as bad as you allude to - I run mine daily (combination of town and motorway and I easily average over 23 mpg and if its just a pure motorway run ive had over 33 mpg (admittedly running through France) but even going from leeds to nottingham and back i will average over 28 mpg. Yes if your hooning around mid teens is easily achievable but if you own one (as opposed to borrowing one and testing it where the novelty factor affects your right foot more than it would as a daily driver) then you will happily average mid 20's.
This is very interesting, I've got an A6 Avant 3.0 BiTdi and considering its a V6 diesel, it can quite easily drop to around 20-24mpg if I get a little too.....enthusiastic...with the accelerator but will generally return an easy 35mpg and I've had up to 42mpg for my most recent drive from Catterick in North Yorkshire to Devizes in Wiltshire which is 278 miles. My point is, considering the fact that the RS6 Avant is a big boy petrol V8 with all that power compared to my V6 Diesel (which at 313hp isn't too sluggish itself) that is actually a pretty decent fuel return which is nice to know as the RS6 is my goal, perhaps when I hit Captain if I'm still single but if not then definitely at Major. That's 2 and potentially 4 years out respectively and I'll still have to go for something a little older than this, maybe a 2016 plate by that point might be within my grasp. Honestly love these cars, I was getting mine serviced last September in Farnborough and it was delayed so the staff offered me a chance to drive the RS6 they had there which was a brand new Vorsprung package one, mrsp of £133k! Had heads up display and all the gizmos, it was something out of this world!
@@KylensLife I've just had my one serviced, was $944 NZD. Insurance is $1,400NZD. I have a Audi Warranty on the car till mid 2023 so if anything were to go wrong, I'm covered.
No other car is better, best car on the planet in my opinion, and it's my dream car too. I am in the market for one and will let you know as soon as I purchase it.
Thank you sir, I know 🙄🙄! Super annoyed I cocked that up. We all make mistakes especially when I am in and out of different cars daily. Thank you for pointing it out politely too, some are not so understanding 😳🙄
I'm considering getting one this year for the better fuel consumption actually 😆 and the super great looks. Its one of my dream cars. But it's also hard to let go of my Audi S6 5.2 V10, because, come on, V10! Thats never coming back..
Totally agree. Had bought a 2 door 2018 RS5 and it was great but… As soon as I saw and heard (with the Akrapovic exhaust), the 2017 RS6 Performance… I traded. Had a smile on my dial ever since!
Picked up a low mileage one of these (2016 C7.5 FL) a few weeks ago. Long run back from south london to 30 miles up the west coast past glasgow to my house and managed just under 30mpg. Mix of A and B roads where I am with a little town driving and I reckon I'll get around 22mpg. That also includes the odd blast/overtake. Coming from a stage 2 B8 S4 with 480hp and only getting a max of around 27 on long runs and 22 generally I can't believe I've upgraded to a 720hp weapon that gives the same consumption or better! Already costing me already, high pressure fuel pumps and new oil as it had a few hard starts and fuel in the oil but as a common issue I would've been doing this regardless. Really can't see past the C7 generation, the lines of the C8 and digital interior don't really do it for me.
100% agree with your review and thoroughly enjoyed it. I too love the RS products but didn’t have the need for the avant so back in 2018 purchased the RS5. It too is a monster but with less torque but suits my needs.
Excellent car. My 2022 RS6 replaces my C7 RS6 which I ran for several years. I like the RS5, not nearly as much clout as the RS6 (mine also had Litchfield stage 2). However, almost getting twice the MPG in real world driving and that matters more now !
@@markramsay6399 no offense but if you haven’t driven the B8.5 RS5, you don’t know what your talking about. If the purpose is a drivers car, with a sky high V8 redline of 8,300, and naturally aspirated glory, it blows the RS6 away.
@@architecturehappy Not really sure how to respond to "you don't know what you are talking about". It was an opinion. You have one and I have one. I had one of the first S5 in the UK, the early RS5, then the Litchfield RS6 and now the latest RS5. Drivers car is an opinion. As the Floyd drummer once said, I can fit a whole drum kit into the back of my RS6 - and he knows his cars. Have a good weekend.
Beast of a car , I have just brought a 2014 Daytona grey one for 41 k and I have had my eye on them on auto trader and they just keep going up in price all the time , a great investment ,one of the best looking cars with so many faces ,I mean a 600 hp v8 family wAgon haha come on , crazY Germans do the best cars 😍😂👊🏻
Good review 👍 Still ❤️ my 2015 C7 in black with carbon after just hitting 50,000 miles, you do need a remap tho purely to help with fuel consumption & mine's delivered a very impressive 15mpg since May 2015 😅 oh & get a Miltek since the factory sports exhaust is a bit tame 😉 707.5 bhp 900nm torque
Owned BMW M's in the past, great cars with nice driving dynamics - esp the S85 V10, preferred the newer M5 in F10 guise. But the 2016 PE RS6 I bought although is lacking in some of the feedback through the wheel - it more than makes up for it in many other areas.:- Interior qualtiy Space & practicality Comfort Grip Sound Engine flexibility Looks (from all angles) Second hand value
Very Interesting.. That's something I was Waiting for someone who is able to Compare M Cars with RS Cars. The Hard thing is.. I want the Sharpness and Fast Steering Feel and RWD Feel from an M Car but the Thick Wide Body Wide Wheel Arch Looks from an RS 6 ❤. So the RS6 is really Less Sharp in this then a BMW M5 F10 and F90? I also heard from One Test that the C8 RS6 is Sharper then the C7 RS6? Steering.. Chassis Stiffness in Cornering and so on.
@@larshartmann609 The steering feedback is not a huge difference between the tow, the RS6 is slightly heavier at speed - which I like but at slower speeds not so much difference, and since most normal road driving is slower speeds it doesnt really matter. I would say the DRC pack in the RS6 ie steel shocks are better than the EDC on its hardest setting in the F10. I preferred the "safer" handling of the Quattro, especially in bad weather. The F10 was just too hard to get a good start in from standstill. The C8 with Rear Wheel Steering is supposed to be sharp, and makes the car feel a lot smaller than it actually is... so I hear.
I have a C6 and we're looking at a C7, or a C8. On a PCP deal a 2021 C8 is roughly the same per month as a 2018 C7 on HP. So I'm leaving C7... and I think you've convinced me.
The new one is nicer and more refined but these are just as fast even faster maybe and more “raw” feeling.. older gen looks way better on exterior in my opinion too.
Do you think this is the best bang for your buck on the market? What would you have? Super annoyingly said it was a DCT not an 8 speed ZF! This is testimony to the brilliant gear changes and responsiveness of the box. Mistakes are made 🙄
Haha, thought so when you said that as it's the 8 speed ZF the same as i've got in my A6 AllRoad BiTdi.......and there's a decent alternative (oil-burner i know, but hear me out) 300+bhp, less than 6 to 60 and over 40 to the gallon. I love my AllRoad and am struggling to know what to replace it with!
I just bought RS6 Performance (reg'd 12/2016) - 46,000m = £48,000. Has £20,000 of 'extras'.... a work or art imo. From Fontain Motors, Iver, Bucks. Incredible VFM as this guy said. To protect this piece of art I've added Smartrack S5+ immobiliser & Global Telematics. Plus 2 steering locks. Petrol usage not a prob...have a motorbike & EV for London. So can thrash this gentle giant on high days and holidays.
Cooorrr that isn’t easy!! B7 is a superb car. More analogue and feels lighter on its feet…… but the RS6 is a great upgrade. Loads more power, way faster. Both great cars in their own right!
I had a 2018 SQ5 and ordered a Touareg R in January but it was delayed until november so I cancelled my order and bought in March a low mileage RS6 C7.5 fully loaded, this car is amazing ! The only problems I have with it is the steering wheel + the GPS screen : the wheel doesn't have a last/next song button so you have to reach for the central console everytime which is competly stupid and the sat nav screen is not a touch screen so with android auto and waze you can't use it either to change song or navigate in the GPS It's the only thing that makes me mad, but I ordered a touch screen from china and will see how it works, if it does, this car will be perfect I have a JB4 on it btw so the car has 700hp / 900nm
Fuel consumption isn't the reason to buy it, I have a 2015 which I paid £40k for, best car I've ever owned and never selling it. It just does everything so well, mine has the factory sports exhaust with central resonator delete which opens up the sound without being too obnoxious..! Otherwise stock, no need for remap etc. Perfect family car, I'm sure they will appreciate in value too given how naff the new one is. "Nouveau riche house" comment hit the nail on the head!
40 k for a 2015 model? Must of been high mikes 70k+? I payed 41 k for a 2014 55 k mikes mint one 👍🏻,yes they are going up in price all the time , great investment .

Matrix headlamps ,double glazed front window ,and few other small improvements not worth the 3/5 k in price ,mine was stock aswell so i no it wasn't thrashed, gnna stage 2 mine eventually as I will never sell mine ,not that I feel the need for anymore power in the slightest but you no as a petrolhead (always wants more)😎750 hp and 1000 man torque in a family wagon tho ....cone on ,life doesn't get much better, she's a keeper ,like forever 😍have fun dude ,ever down notts way gimme a shout always nice to see a fellow rs enthusiast 👍🏻
Underrated channel and car! I thaught you had like a million subs untill i saw it. Imma subscribe😊 wanna buy a rs6 c7.5 in future. I'm 16 and saving from when i was 15. Imma finance it i think
I had one of these for a couple of weeks, and done long journeys, trust me when you put it in comfort and just cruise the fuel consumption is excellent, However, around town when you put your foot down it does drink loads, but who cares. I had a 700bhp, non-res rs6, fuel didn't matter, the sound it made when putting your foot down or doing a downshift, crazy.
This C7 RS 6 is still a lethal car not to be messed with. I mean 605 HP is still impressive for a car that is 7 years old at this point. And it still looks amazing with its current body lines.
@@Motorflix As much as I love the C8, this C7 is one that I would happily get used and in good condition like this one. I agree that this is stil a good car to have in the current era of sports cars.
Point out one mistake in your review - it doesn't have the 7 speed double clutch it has the 8 Speed Torque converter. It's still a mint gearbox though and I don't notice any difference in smoothness from my previous RS4 that had the 7 speed.
Well spotted you are not the only person to spot this!! My mistake it was mainly due to the gearbox being so good that I thought it was a dual clutch, so it is a compliment to the 8 speed!!
What a fantastic review of this very special Performance Edition RS6. I drive one, have owned mine for over 3 years now, and would not change it for anything below 150k. I drove the new RS6, and am sorry to say, but it isn't an improvement, I hated the touch screens and I doubt it's faster than mine
I may well have done. I think due to its snappy changes and being a 7 speed and not an 8 (which always seems to be the ZF’s) I automatically assumed it was a dual clutch. I suppose that is testimony to the gearbox it has and how good it is that I thought it was a dual! Does that make sense?
@@snowfree52 no hands up I got it wrong! It’s a compliment to the 8 speed ZF that I thought it was a DCT/DSG/double clutch as the changes are so good! 👍🏻
@motorflix I’m an amg and Australian muscle boy but lately been contemplating between this, an rs7 but also wondering why not spend less and buy an old Audi R8. What are your thoughts since I have no experience with Audis
It really depends what you are looking for and what you want the car to do. I think an RS6 is a better looking car than the RS7, has a better following and is more practical. If you don't need the back seats/big boot, my money would go on an original 5.2ltr V10 Spyder with a gated 6 speed manual. I think they are going to appreciate as no one with ever make anything like that again. Remember though bills come with an extra 0 on the end with something like that though. So it won't be the buying of it it will be the maintaining that might sting you. Hope that helps.
Thanks for this review - I've just bought an older (2015 C7.5) RS6 the same as this car (down to the colour) but with a few more options. Mine was £40k so even more of a bargain! By the way, making minor mistakes will increase your interaction levels on YT! (I came here to mention the DCT/TC gaff too!). Haha.
Absolute BARGAIN!! You don't really hear of them going pop either. HA I am not going tome a habit of getting things wrong, but that is a really good point. Thank you foe reading the other comments and deciding not to linch me! HAHA!!
adam300tdi90 faking hell lad ,that's awesome , I brought just a few months ago a 2014 Daytona grey rs6 55 k miles I am now the second owner ,metallic leather interior with carbon ,sports exhaust ,reverse parking cruise control, allaminiom outside pack ,been really looked after full Audi service history and I mean full, 41650£ I payed and thought I got a bargain as it's worth easy 43 k now in the condition it is , the cheapest performance edition is like 45 k plus , was it someone you jo like a family member or something? You near Nottingham , should meet up admire each other's beauty's 😁👊🏻
@@rs4rs669 mines the same but standard black outside trim carbon int. trim. It's a facelift but not a PE. Got it from a private dealer in Mancs. But I'm down south. I think they've gone up recently, probs due to no one preferring the c8. Makes the c7 look like a bargain.
Fuel consumption- Sorry, but you're so wrong. I got 31mpg the other day. OK, I did 105 miles on an airport run but, as with any car, if you have a heavy right foot, of course the mpg is gonna go down 😂 driven 'sensibly' it's EASY to get 27+. BUT.. Great video dude!
C7 was a very difficult car to improve upon. I think the C8 is better in most areas, but only by a bit. The C8 Performance version, however, makes the improvements in many of the areas more pronounced.
Massive shame the C7 RS6 was never offered in the USA; Actually close to criminal. I have a C7 S6 that is getting up in miles and needs replacement but I simply cannot find anything that gets me as excited as these do. I might end up with a low mileage C7.5 at this rate to replace my 2013.
So a few points for anyone seriously interested, if it’s 70k cheaper it’s definitely 70% of the new car, so I let you conclude your man maths, but it’s a no brainer…personally I prefer this old interior, all the new gloss black interior when switched off looks terrible and 90% of all new cars are just putting more nanny state electronics in the way of any driving experience, in this C7 model, you can still just about switch every safety system off which I do. It definitely is the pocket knife of cars, it does everything exceptionally well. I thought about an SUV for a moment, until I realised only a handful of the biggest, have a little more load capacity, so there was no point unless you like driving position height on the road, which is almost a non event given every other vehicle is also an SUV on the road today. It’s better finished and more reliable than any RR SUV product. I have seen 100k mileage examples with almost zero wear on the inside…. As for transmission it’s a ZF, no dual clutch and is perfectly suited for this example…interesting how the reviewer thought he was peddling a dual clutch box. Also mpg can be low, but it can easily get 40mpg if you want it, I have done it with cruise on many times…but 22-26mpg is typical. I can’t /won’t sell mine because I can’t find anything better at any price. My differences to this example are dynamic suspension with no air suspension and it’s better and very smooth ride, plus cc brakes…which if managed properly are perfect 👍 with zero squeaking ever in 5 years of ownership since new. Only negative, it’s to fast for public roads and will cost you your license if you are not extremely careful… you are always travelling faster than you think you are. I luv it’s overtaking capability its outstanding.. it’s practicality is outstanding, it’s sleeper avant- looks, are a big plus… did I tell you I like it, okay yes I like it a huge amount… on a damp road nothing will see which way you went, Ferrari included.
All very good points!! I must say I am impressed you have managed 40mpg out of it…. Also I hold my hands up to getting the gearbox wrong that is testimony to the gearbox in the car. It is so responsive and you have such command over it that I automatically assumed it was a dual clutch. It truly is a superb car and one that will ages exceptionally well I think! 👍🏻
@@Motorflix If you think about it at cruising speeds with mild throttle actions allowing the big lazy v8 torque to carry you forward, with cylinder deactivation you are down to 4 cylinders burning… it’s definitely not the driver…
40 mpg lol was you dreaming , there's no way your getting Evan near 30 never mind 40 ,Evan with cylinder on demand I struggle to get 25 mpg ,I have heard that getting a tune and milteck exhaust can help mpg also?
@@rs4rs669 well I have owned it for 5 years and find it really easy.. .. I can only share my personal experience, you don’t need to believe me. If you drive it the other way you can also get about 12 Mpg but that is a whole different driving style not exactly legal, or good for the car. I gave up tuning cars years ago, If you want a faster car, buy a different car, it always does it better. Is my opinion. But tuning can be fun, if you enjoy it and want something bespoke and it makes it feel more one of one.
Alan Hunt Evan with 4 cylinders your never getting 40 mpg , I tested it before and Audi say on motorway runs you you can 30 mpg and on a 5 hour drive down south I was driving less then 50 miles per hour in comfort mode and the best mpg was 30 ,you carnt get any Higher than that in a c7 rs6 I am afraid 🙂
If you take the badges off it looks like an A6. They should have went with wider fenders - similar to the rs4 b7 vs a4 comparison. Looks too basic on the outside
Whenever the RS6 is getting reviewed, the RS7 hardly ever gets mentioned. Why? It's nearly as practical except for a little less headroom in back seats and a slightly smaller boot. I drive a c7.5 RS7 Performance and I find it amazing and practical too but I feels left out of these reviews lol
Performance is equal or a tad but better, but C7 exterior is a bit dated, and interior is meh. Id love to buy one, but interior puts me off. Currently driving S4 B9 2019 St2, love the new interior and digital dash.
The C7 Audi RS7 would compete and looks better IMHO. Also, the price point is similar in that I found a performance (Carbon Brakes) with 38K miles with a solid CarFax for $62K
I can't put my dog in the boot of the RS7. And the middle seat isn't as usable in the back. I have three kids. M5 Touring? The new gen will surely have x-drive...? AMG E63S... or is that too obvious?
😂 yourll commenting on the outdated interior, i 100% agree with that, but it makes up in so many different areas for that, and also some people prefer the more old school dash to the new one 🤔my dads one of them... lmao, his opinion is that the new dash is way too distracting with all the touchscreens... he prefers the old knobs that you turn or push 😂
My old man is the same to be fair. I don't dislike the older system, it is more the actual inner workings that are outdated than the design of the interior, if that makes sense.
The problem with the interior is that its not even last gen,its 2 generations old The 2018 audi a4 has a much nicer interior Its kinda hard to look past
13mpg is when giving it some, can easily get 30mpg on a long motorway run. I get 18-20, normal driving with a mix of a/b and some town driving. 29/30 on long runs. All this from a car putting out over 700hp, not bad at all.
Something else to consider in this price bracket; the Audi S8 Plus. It has the same engine - 605bhp - as the RS6 Performance model and a little more understated 😉
This one had only done very few miles. I haven’t heard of scary issues with them, but anything this premium is always going to have a premium maintenance bill too. 😂
Just wrong. It’s no where near as good as a C8. Like all RS6’s, it’s still loosing money like crazy. Prices have only stayed high due to production issues with the C8. Expect warp drive depreciation to continue next year. Great buy though, only in three years time…
Fair enough! Not sure I agree 👍🏻 C8 is insane, no question of that! I think the C7 will solidify from now, the late ones might still have some depreciating to do.
I have been watching the c7 model very closely for the last 2 years and they have only gone up in price had mine 6 month and been offered 4 k more than I payed for it ,and I have seen ones with 100 k miles plus and still going for 42/43 k lol , you will struggle to get a good one for less then 40 k and the prices keep going up ,the c8 looks great I admit but the drive isn't as good and the sound is terrible ,soft limiters and pof filters ,emissions crap ruined it , 40 k for the awesome c7 or 100 k for c8 ,I no which one I would have any day.
Unpopular opinion but I prefer the looks of this over the new car.

Great review, no enthusiast that would buy this car cares about 15-24 MPG, because we care about smiles per gallon and it’s sky high.
Thank you for watching glad you enjoyed it! Agreed! 👌🏻🙏🏻
No other car is better, best car on the planet in my opinion, and it's my dream car too. I am in the market for one and will let you know as soon as I purchase it.

Good review. However it is an ZF 8 Speed torque converter gearbox.
And the C6 doesn't Look Less nice!
Totally agree.
Had bought a 2 door 2018 RS5 and it was great but…
As soon as I saw and heard (with the Akrapovic exhaust), the 2017 RS6 Performance… I traded.
Glad you enjoyed it! Hope you keep enjoying the RS5, cracking car. 👍🏻

Still ❤️ my 2015 C7 in black with carbon after just hitting 50,000 miles, you do need a remap tho purely to help with fuel consumption & mine's delivered a very impressive 15mpg since May 2015 😅 oh & get a Miltek since the factory sports exhaust is a bit tame 😉
707.5 bhp
900nm torque
Love this. Totally agree. Such a weapon and real bargain.
I met your dad in Venice really loved the RS6 thanks Daniel!
O brilliant!! I hope they were having a great time! 👍🏻
Owned BMW M's in the past, great cars with nice driving dynamics - esp the S85 V10, preferred the newer M5 in F10 guise. But the 2016 PE RS6 I bought although is lacking in some of the feedback through the wheel - it more than makes up for it in many other areas.:-
Interior qualtiy
Space & practicality
Comfort
Grip
Sound
Engine flexibility
Looks (from all angles)
Second hand value
The C8 with Rear Wheel Steering is supposed to be sharp, and makes the car feel a lot smaller than it actually is... so I hear.
I am still undecided what my next car will be .... C8, C7 Nogarro or F90 M5 Comp.
I bough RS6 C7 in July 2021.
One of the best cars ever made
Do you think this is the best bang for your buck on the market?
I loooove this car its just perfect
so I have a 2006 B7 RS4 Avant in Sprint Blue for 11 years now. looking for a change. should I swap to this ?
Cooorrr that isn’t easy!! B7 is a superb car. More analogue and feels lighter on its feet…… but the RS6 is a great upgrade. Loads more power, way faster. Both great cars in their own right!
I had a 2018 SQ5 and ordered a Touareg R in January but it was delayed until november so I cancelled my order and bought in March a low mileage RS6 C7.5 fully loaded, this car is amazing !
The only problems I have with it is the steering wheel + the GPS screen : the wheel doesn't have a last/next song button so you have to reach for the central console everytime which is competly stupid and the sat nav screen is not a touch screen so with android auto and waze you can't use it either to change song or navigate in the GPS
It's the only thing that makes me mad, but I ordered a touch screen from china and will see how it works, if it does, this car will be perfect
I have a JB4 on it btw so the car has 700hp / 900nm
I had the same for music skipping. U can program the "*" on your steering wheel to make it so it skips a song! Try it, it's in the cars settings

Couldn’t agree more! 👍🏻
Glad you enjoyed it and I am glad you are enjoying yours! Mega thing!!
On a run I've had 27-29 even 30mpg if I'm being really careful . I've also had 12mpg when I wasn't
Problem I have always found is you end up have a little squirt all the time and then you watch it plummet! 😂
💯 convinced me to get the RS6 C7… Best looking RS6 to be fair!
Good choice! You won't be disappointed!!
By the way, the fuel consumption is actually very good on a steady drive, but yes, put it dynamic and it drinks with two straws...
I've got an Audi RS6 with a REVO upgrade and I have achieved 37.1 miles to the gallon on a motorway run. Cylinder deactivation.
Did you make a mistake on the transmission info , I have 2014 Audi RS6 and it's 7spd automatic , not dual clutch!
I may well have done. I think due to its snappy changes and being a 7 speed and not an 8 (which always seems to be the ZF’s) I automatically assumed it was a dual clutch. I suppose that is testimony to the gearbox it has and how good it is that I thought it was a dual! Does that make sense?
did they change it from C7 to C7.5 ? mine has 8 speeds
@@snowfree52 no hands up I got it wrong! It’s a compliment to the 8 speed ZF that I thought it was a DCT/DSG/double clutch as the changes are so good! 👍🏻
Just love the buy of my life, the RS6 pre facelift. With abt pack…. Nothing to beat !!! Like a Lamborghini Stationwagon to me
My dream car for a reason
C7 RS6 - my dream machine ❤
Thanks for this review - I've just bought an older (2015 C7.5) RS6 the same as this car (down to the colour) but with a few more options. Mine was £40k so even more of a bargain! Rs6 c7 or c8 best all round car available for me both amazing
C7 was a very difficult car to improve upon. I think the C8 is better in most areas, but only by a bit. The C8 Performance version, however, makes the improvements in many of the areas more pronounced.
The c8 is no doubt a better car. More refined, faster etc. but tangibly that doesn’t always make it the more enjoyable car. I hope that makes sense.
Love my c7.5 s6
It has an 8 speed ZF automatic not a 7 speed dual clutch.
You are not the first to point this out, and I am sure you won’t be the last! 😂My bad, testament to how good the ZF is in it!! 👍🏻
Great review great car 😊
Glad you liked it!
7 speed dual clutch? I’ve thought these 8 speed automatic
It is. You are right I was wrong. Which was only testament to the fact I thought it was dual clutch! Not 8 speed ZF
I think it looks better than the new one
Erm. Great review but it doesn't have a "7 speed double clutch" gearbox...it's an 8 speed tiptronic auto 🤔
My bad, apologies, it is testament to the 8 speed ZF that I thought it was a double clutch like it’s lesser RS models.
Just bought an A6.... (2.0 tdi 😭😭)
It will certainly get more miles to the gallon!!
You say it has a 7 speed DCT, but it actually has a 8 speed ZF with torque converter. The S6 has the 7 speed tho.
Haha you are not the first and you will not be the last to tell me this! Slip of the tongue and a compliment to the 8 speed being so snap sharp!! 👍🏻👍🏻
If you take the badges off it looks like an A6. They should have went with wider fenders - similar to the rs4 b7 vs a4 comparison. Looks too basic on the outside
Interior also looks like my 2010 a4. 13mpg is ridiculous. Those are 2008 4.2 fsi numbers.
Most overrated car of the decade
If you think these are thirsty, try keeping a C6 RS6 V10 fed 😂. It is a glorious machine though.
My RS6 in Nogaro blue is up for sale on auto trader is anyone wants the best colour spec 😀

The only hesitation I would have buying this car is long term reliability, the turbos and timing chain parts have known reliability issues sometimes.
This one had only done very few miles. I haven’t heard of scary issues with them, but anything this premium is always going to have a premium maintenance bill too. 😂
The turbo reliability is on the S not RS models as they didn’t use billet turbos on the S apparently

How tf is this a question…?
Because the car is nearly 10 years old…..
To me how can you beat that sound, every new car is a downgrade and over priced
