Gurl!! I have been watching you for years , but this year’s village is extraordinary!! So creative! So much interest and activity and detail! I got so many ideas for mine next year. I could not out mine up this year because I broke my arm and had surgery. 😢. Thank you for your channel and God bless you for sharing with all of us village lovers! 🥰
Hey Cheryl, I’m so sorry to hear about your arm, has it healed up yet? I know it can be a long recovery. My daughter broke her arm earlier this year and she had to have surgery as well. Even after her cast came off, it was a full 4 month recovery. Hope you heal up quick!

Hi Miriam, don't know where to begin! 😁 First, you made the ENTIRE village a very FUN village to be in, EVERY single inch!! I love the spin of making the business district fun with all the rides & goodies, I just love it. You have accomplished building the most lively, joyous village. I cannot believe you hand painted every single base of every single figurine to blend with the groundwork! You must have the most steadiest hand! I would mess all of mine up so I don't even bother. 🤣 You didn't even leave paint on a single boot! Even the people in the vineyard you had a straw color paint! I would leave your precious village out year round! This is the type of village that is so photographic that you can remember every single detail long after you have looked away. I cannot express how much I LOVE IT!!

This is so beautiful! How do you begin planning and how long does the setup take?
Thanks so much Vicki! I start planning my layout design usually in January every year on paper. This year I began making certain platforms in August and didn’t finish until two weeks before I posted this video.
It usually takes at least 3 months.
There is so much about your village that I love. You really have worked hard to build this incredible village. Dewan and Aliyah sitting by the waterside is such a lovely personal touch. Thankyou so much for sharing ..

You have got to stop inspiring me! I got so many new ideas from this video. It is perfect in every way, but that is to be expected from everything you do :) I still love the pergola and hope to make one (on a smaller scale) for next year. I also love the tug of war (one of the inspirations) and the teeter totter. Except it looks like the kids would get a headache after bumping the ground so much. I can't decide which is my favorite vignette but if I had to pick I'd say the b&b scene. But I also love the neighborhood, it just looks like you could join in and go for a walk down those streets. You are the MASTER my dear. Thank you for everything you've done for all of us. Love to the family!

My favorite is for sure the bed and breakfast. I had so many hand made items in this build and you know how much a love formal gardens. I was so excited to create in for my village since I haven’t done one in my yard. 😂🤣

@@MiriamsManner let’s just say I learned a LOT ! Spent a ton of hours just trying to get it figured out as far as layout but once I got that figured out yes it was a lot of fun
I learned plaster and paint fix everything hahaha it’s amazing when you look at some thing and think this is never going to turn out then you throw a black wash on it and some paint and holy moly !
Already planning ahead for next year I want to change some stuff up!

Hi Miriam. I know every year you change your village setup. Is it my imagination or did you drastically downsize your village this year? It seemed so enormous last year in comparison. Regardless...it's still so much to take in. Your attention to detail always blows my mind. Every part of it is simply incredible.
Hey Debbi, I used the exact two tables I set up last year, just put them in an L shape. It is really deceiving though, the L makes us look a lot smaller.

Miriam, you are simply amazing...and beautiful. I absolutely love how well thought out and detailed your Christmas village is. The other thing that I love is the diversity of the people. I had to resort to painting the faces of the people in my village because I was unable to find different cultures. Miriam, Dreamy Falls is absolutely beautiful! I don't know which one I like the most. The park scene, winery or bed and breakfast 🤔. The bed and breakfast is so serene, but the park scene is so playful. I love the interaction of the pieces. Dewan and Aliyah are sooo adorable. You really outdone yourself, this is the best one yet!

Awww Robin is so sweet and creative. I want to buy some of his figurines but I don't have the grand carousel yet. Soon I'll be finished with phase 3 of my village and then I can move on with other projects. 🤗
Wow like I'm so obsessed with these I did a little one last year while I actually did two little displays of my own but I have always been obsessed with Christmas villages and landscapes they're just always so beautiful to look at and admire and create. But you have really taken it to the next level and did something for real landscaping and it looks better and better each time you do it and I admire this you are so amazing at this and it's so nice to see that someone else is obsessed with these like I am and so into creating this. Keep doing what you're doing It All looks amazing and inspirational.

Is there a tutorial for the business district or a video on how you made sidewalks? I could not find the videos. What do you use as your base? MDF board and thick styrofoam board? Thanks again.
Hello Linda, I am thrilled that you are learning so much from my videos. I did not show how I made the business district in this 2022 village but there is one on how I made the one in 2021. Also, there is a video that shows how I made the sidewalks but that was done in the members only videos. If you become a member, you will have access to all of the additional tutorials I do only for members.

I Love this !! I see your story here and the details and little scenes are what makes this a wonderful thing to watch. I was explaining to my husband why it takes me so long to set my people and after he sat down with me, and I showed him that everyone had a story going on he was blown away. I really wanted to enter the contest so I could share with all of our villaging family but technical difficulties would not let me get the videos off my phone, camera or my hubands. Very sad. All of your videos are so helpful. I just watched the 2022 video twice. I was wondering if the area where the fountain and large tree are, if you used a large Lemax mat. If so, did you make holes in the mat for the cords. I have this mat and am wondering if this is possible.
Thank you so much Karen! Yes, that is a large Lemax mat. I take a blade to it and carve straight lines in it to run my cords.

Lady, you have totally outdone yourself it's spectacular to see! Your sense of design and symmetry throughout the entire village is incredible. This year your name of Dreamy Falls totally fits the 2022 Christmas Village and the landscape you created...I would keep it up for several months myself, if not longer!
Is this setup slightly smaller than last year or just the arrangement of platforms! BTW, you know I always seem to catch the little details...well the population must be reduced by one! Causality near the bandstand in the park, down for the count, hopefully nothing serious, maybe a sprain! LOL Would love to see the paper floor plan you designed before construction! Always my biggest problem!

I'm a very detailed person too and I caught it but it happens to me with my villagers too. Do you have any suggestions for the little unstable figurines? I have the most trouble with the ones not on stable ground, such as snow, grass and things like that.
@@jloveskbp217 Yes, for terrain like grass, dirt and snow what I have learned is to hot glue a metal washer with some weight on the bottom of the figurine and then cover with snow, grass or dirt to hide the weight of the washer, available at any hardware store.

Thank you very much. I’m not sure right now what scale that was. It was a gift from a subscriber. The lift is packed away where I can’t easily get to it. I think there were two different scales that Jaegerndorfer sales and I believe it was the smaller of the two. Hope that helps.

@@MiriamsManner Seeing a train in your village next year would be awesome. My gardens focus on a different theme each year. I haven't used any of my Lemax or Dept.56 stuff in several years but am thinking of using them next year again. My layouts are usually on a 4'x8' because I am limited in where I can build them but next years plan is to go big.... Be sure to give me some feedback on what you think of my garden...

Hello, I purchased the slide at hobby lobby in their fairy section. I made the pergola that’s in the bed and breakfast. I do have a video tutorial for it but you do have to be a member of my channel to view that video. I have members only videos once a month that I share special ideas as well and easy diy’s.
