Great video. I plan on creating my first Christmas village this year on our coffee table. Next year, I'm planning on hoping to be able to include a train once I get a bigger place. Thank you for the tips!
It'll be my first time having a go at a Christmas village this year. Already made one mistake by buying different scale buildings, village sets and listening to other people telling me I need this I need that. The first one was only meant to be a small one to have a go. I had also thought about buying one of those moulds to stand everything on.
Oh the scale of buildings is ridiculously difficult as even the manufacturers have no scale they stick to. The plastic moulds from My Village and such are fantastic if you haven't got either the time or inclination to craft your own. Making your own is almost another hobby in itself and the plastic moulds are great for adding elevations to your village instead of having it flat
I just started my Christmas village this season and the first piece I bought was the Lemax Madeline’ Macarons. I didn’t realize the misspelling on the advertisement and box. The building actually says Madeline’s Macaroons 😂. My first piece and it has a misspelling lol.
Ha ha! I'm not sure if that is one of Lemax's weird regional changes? That same piece is sometimes sold as Madeline's Macaroons and also Mignon's Macarons, possibly more too. The confectionery displayed on the store is called either a Macaron or a French Macaroon, which isn't the same as a normal coconut based Macaroon. In Spooky Town, the Bigfoot Brewhaus also has regional variations. The lager advertised changes between "Yeti" with footprints shown above the door, and Naga with a snake, depending on that locations folklore. If you've got something different to everyone else in your area, that's pretty cool 👍
I can’t put into words how this hobby has changed my life. There are times when I go to sleep with Xmas village thoughts, and wake up still thinking of my village. Your video was dead on correct especially about the trees. Yip you cannot go wrong with more and more trees. Someone texted how they would like too shrink themselves and live in a Xmas village, totally agree. Thank you!!!!
I'm glad you enjoyed it Lexy - it is a wonderful hobby and full of lovely people to share it with. Unlike so many other hobbies and fan pages, Villagers are a great bunch and are always supportive of one another, truly refreshing!
Great tips thank you for sharing
You are very welcome, hope it helps 👍
