I would rent. Many reasons. Age: If I'm older the gross rental might be lower than purchase price over remaining life span. Freedom: I get bored easy, that's why I'm over here in the first place. I want to travel around the country, and the surrounding countries. Politics & Taxes: If the country gets greedy/stupid towards expats, I'm not hanging around. The entire point of selling everything I own in my home country was to be free to slow travel, doesn't make sense to acquire the anchor all over again. But, that's me. All luck to those who buy. I totally understand and understand both sides of it! You hit the nail on the head with politics &taxes, that's why we haven't settled there yet. Hi there! No, the older buildings are definitely MORE solid and quiet. The new builds (and we've stayed in a few) the walls are so paper thin! Thank you for watching and your feedback! ❤️

After owning for a while I have to say, only a few buildings in all of Pattaya stay booked out year round… those happen to be near the red light area near Soi Buakhao. The further away, the slower the rental business. So if it’s cash flow you want, be very selective!
