I like the darker lighting. Easier to see what's in the tank. It's nice to see a local channel on my TH-cam account. I figured you were spending the summer with the kids.
i had a green sunfish years ago and it would jump out of the water and catch any house flys that would get caught in the hood. honestly one of my favorite fish ive ever kept.
So glad you posted was thinking about you trying to find a video to watch the other day and thought hope everything was going well with the little one, made my day to see you post lots of love your way
I am looking forward for your videos to start up again. I enjoy the native fish set ups. I no longer can enjoy the hobby for a number of reasons. But enjoy watching others excel in it.
Glad to see you back buddy! My toddlers have watched your videos from the day they were born. They always ask to watch fish and has made them want to see wildlife in general. I saw where you said the lil man is thriving and couldn't be happier for you! You and your family have been in our thoughts and prayers over the past months. Family comes first but glad to see you back!
Gotta love some green sunfish, we caught one a few weeks back and he's already eating 3mm pellets. We've never had a wild fish transition so fast to prepared foods as this greeny. Looking forward to more content from you.
Welcome back, Zack!! I prefer the darker look. I use a darker look with a blue light on my rainbow shiner and flagfish tank. The lower light and blue light really make those colors pop.
Love the tank the setup looks amazing. I think you should add a bass and I like the darker light looks more natural.keep up the hard work looking forward to the other videos that are coming out soon
Everyone always does largemouth and smallmouth bass, so would love to see some nice spotted bass in there. I used to keep those and redeye bass, and they don’t get enough love in the native fish keeping community
YAY, Father Zac is Back!!! Lighting is awesome 👌 It gives the feeling of the sun overhead and the driftwood gives shade and cover like the root system of a tree that has grown at the edge where the bank and the waterline meet
I wish I had tried to put a mirror on the back of my 75 gallon long aquarium tank when I was keeping fish to make the tank work wide and like it had more fish. I had kept Green Sunfish, Bluegill, Black Crappie,, Warmouth and Channel catfish. But your Mudcat (Bullhead) is a good idea.
I did the same size tank a couple years back, I should have listened to the master...... I put 3 very small big mouth bass in the 125. All was great for about a year a half. Then chaos ensued..... Then there was one. One bass took out the other 2 violently. Then I remembered one your videos from a few years back warning not to put more than one bass in a tank. Lesson learned.😤 Btw i just changed up the lighting to the darker look. So much Better!
I'm so glad to see one of my favorites, someone I was thinking had left the platform back on the grind. I was chalking your absense up to medical issues with your newest little one. If I remember your last update on the situation right things weren't super great. So I figured family came before the tubes. Right or wrong I'm glad to see you back at it. As for the lighting, the darker look is the better one. If only because those lights seem hash on the screen even after your camera has filtered it a bit. I can only guess how bad it would seem to the fish.
I really appreciate your support and kind words! Wesley had his surgery after he was born and spent a few weeks in the hospital! After that and ever since he's been growing and thriving! I can talk more about the absence in a livestream or video! But the main thing was just to support my family. Both financially and mentally! Things are great now and I'm happy to have the opportunity to be SC Fish Keeping again!
@@SCFishKeeping I'm just glad you and yours are well. If you want to go in to details on a video of some kind that's your choice. I honestly feel like the response I got was the one the whole internet should get. You had to take care of your family, enough said.
@@SCFishKeeping Should I have been expecting to be put up for a drawing or something? @@stanleyhyde8529 I appreciate you looking into it and giving me the heads up! I have reported that account and got rid of all the comments. They left like 35 on the one video.... I made a post on the community tab warning people it's a scam too!
We've got a 10 inch bowfin that We've named Mr.. Bowjangles we've been growing up since he was 2 inches long. They are very cool fish with quite the personality. My friend Keni from ABC Aquatic Biotope Creations has one as well that he makes videos of.
I have a 75 gallon gallon and I want to do more native fish. I want darters, studfish, topminnows, shiners, dollar sunfish, southern redbelly dace, and some stonerollers. I also want a red spotted sunfish but will it get too big and eat the smaller fish. Red spotted sunfish get about 6.3 inches.
Definitely would live to see more native species zack

the green sunfish are beautiful!
Great video man, glad to see you posted again. I’m digging the dark look with less lights on this one personally.
Thanks for the input! I definitely think I'll keep the lighting the way it is. Seems more natural and the fish will be more comfortable for sure!

I'll have to see what I can track down! Redeye would be really cool to keep!
We've got a small rock bass, they act very similar to most sunfish species. A very cool fish.
Lighting option #2 is the best. It looks better and it's easier in the eyes. No need for that super bright stuff
Im glad to see that you're back hope to see some cool fish and plans that you might have in the works

Try a crappie aquarium think it would be cool watching crappie hang around driftwood the feedings would be cool
We've got a couple crappie with a couple perch, they are pretty chill most the time until it comes to feeding time, then they are savages.
Finally , the legend has returned

Yeah great video, great hanging out with you. The “new” tank is dope and I like the lighting the way you have it. Kinda dim in some areas.

Do you like keeping bluegill?
Welcome back
Add a rock bass to that tank? Just a recommendation since they are like the same fish but with different personalities and colors
Where did you get your driftwood from? I can't find anything remotely as large ANYWHERE
Keep an eye on the bullhead, in my experience they are fin nippers. I’ve had them kill other fish due to stress.
Your show are always good .... Like your show

More bait store shopping, please 😀
I like the tube light the natural the better or you can get an led light strip that mimics thunderstorms and stuff so it’s also natural for the fish
I've seen those lightning setups! They're pretty cool! I might have to look into something like that!
@@SCFishKeeping they are good I use them on my moms 55 gallon tank and she loves it

I like the darker way
Love the dark
Hows the boswell pond? Had to order one!
I think a rock bass would be cool!
