Setting up my NEW [ 8ft ] 240 GALLON FRESHWATER AQUARIUM!!
In this video I’m finally setting up my 240 gallon freshwater aquarium! This tank is 8ft x 2ft x 2ft and is a total beast! I decided to go for a natural look when it came to decor. For the background I used a window film instead of paint. This was a very fun and tedious video to make. But I believe the outcome made it all worth it! I truly hope you all enjoy this video! Nice job on putting that tank up on the stand by yourself like a boss! I did that when I set up my 300 gallon. I had no patience so I did not want to call anyone or bug my neighbors. Its sketch doing it that way but it I got done. After pushing it from garage to living room on the dam carpet. Your stand looks great!

Thank you for your support and feedback bro! It was a challenge getting that tank up there but between experience with lifting heavy ish by myself at a previous job and my girl helping me get the tank into position behind the scenes, the lifting part was easier than it looked.

Dude, that's insane that you lifted that yourself. I woulda never done that alone. This is also why I like Acrylic tanks for anything over 75 gallons. Mad light.

You’re right about that. Acrylic tanks are definitely lighter than glass tanks. But they’re more expensive and they scratch easy.

with tanks that large a cheap little Transfer pump will help with the weekly water changes. I connect my house to my garage faucet and run that for fresh water to my tanks and the use the Transfer pump to pump the water from the tanks into my wife's garden 30 feet away and out the door.
I have a pretty dope way of doing my water changes!

I just need a pump for siphoning out all the water in case I want to do a water transfer.
