idc if the vid was 2hrs I would've watched the whole thing just to see some more of the boxes brought in, this is one of those extremely rare moments for a trade & you can tell just how much he loved those items. Gah damn
It's videos like these that make me so jealous of your employees I'm sure this was alot of work for then but to be able to look through a collection like this and see cool stuff all the time is a dream.
A nice Christmas/End of Year Bonus is a great way to show your employees you appreciate them. Something like a weeks pay cash hush hush under the table type of bonus. Everyone feels good after getting some $100 bills in an envelope!
That Illusion of Gaia shirt is fire. Love that game. Actually recently decided to part ways with most of my retro stuff. I’m gonna emulate through my mini consoles and call it a day. So I’ve currently got that game listed for sale. Good stuff.
That must have been a ton of weight of that mans shoulders, you can definitely tell. I'm a collector of all sorts of things. At one point in time, i couldn't comprehend letting go of something you worked so hard to go. After seeing a few of these type of sales on the channel and RGT85 doing the same, i can understand more now than i did. It's a good thing for all involved whether it's inventory for sale, someone getting some needed funds for something more important and above all else, the collection will hopefully get a new home. I hope that if the day comes when i personally decide it's time, it goes to a good home. I'm certainly no where near that yet. Awesome collection abd story indeed. 💪🔥🙌
As a collector myself, IDK why but it always makes me sad to see other collectors sell their collections. I understand though everybody has their reasons.
I'd hire someone for ebay for the heavy items or even just getting rid of commons. My buddy that owns a store said it changed his life. He went from about to close to making the most he has ever made. Sellimg the high end and making large pick and choose listings for each system type. It helps sell multiples. Then making each console with pick 5 games. Selling snes bundles for 250 with a mario world and 4 other random or option of 4 commons that they have like 50 titles of each and usuallyturn down. But all console sell for like 30% more like that. They still do the watnots for the stuff that they dont have listed and stuff they would usually not buy because they are slow selling. Throwing in random goodies.
Oh, man. Those have got to be the kind of hauls stores like yours live for. Even better, you didn't have to find it randomly at a swap meet or at some guy's house, it was brought straight to you! That's when you know you're doing it right and the universe itself is on your side. This kind of haul is a good example of the "Laws of Attraction" applying to real life situations. Congrats, guys! I now it was a long night, but trust me, those are the kind of long nights that guys like us live for. I wish I'd gotten into this business YEARS ago.
Seems like yesterday Devil’s Third came out and there was a big Scalping controversy brewing on TH-cam and in the gaming community. Time flies! Party On, Rick!
Rick is have an idea for the store. I think those jumbo retro controller die cut pieces you had made (nes, snes, genesis controllers etc) would look super cool displayed on the railing of the stairs where the Sonic and Donkey Kong plush’s are.
For the budget titles, I would promote a buy 2 get one free to help get rid of them. Maybe an instore spin the wheel promotion and have different discount percentages and one that Lands on a free game.
@RetroRick if this collection came back in June, I was there the next day with my dad! I put you on FaceTime with your buddy Austin haha! I’ve been waiting to see this video!!
Can't help watching these videos and think Rick is being taken advantage of. For everyone commenting on here how the 'seller' must trust Rick loads, he's literally getting filmed, by somebody with a large TH-cam community. Legally you can't mitigate risk any more. Also, the seller is basically just keeping his most valuable stuff and hoping Rick can sell on all the junk he can't be bothered selling himself. Rick, my man, you're being taken advantage of for your generosity, especially in the case of this video.
Pokemon are not my thing. I was already in my 20s when Pokemon hit the US so I was not the target demographic. But currently at 46 years of age it still weirds me out to see grown adults get excited about Pokemon cards. I get it, they grew up with it just like I did Kenner Star Wars and Atari. But still, feels weird.
It may be possible that current adults back when they were kids growing up wanted certain toys, Pokemon, whatever/etc.. And were told no by their parents & Are buying items they had/or wanted during childhood now since they're grown adults with a job..
"We're not Pokemon experts or anything." Scrolls right past a Shining Magikarp and Light Arcanine without even mentioning them, to be like "Wow, Fossil!" At least your honest about not being Pokemon experts.
yo sega dude how r do u continue a save file in defenders of oasis this shit is not making sense and i wanna continue my dave fave but it not working wtffff
Got to be honest with you, I started watching your channel because I didn't have much money to build a game collection. You inspired me with the $10 game collection, someone who didn't have a lot of disposable income in today's economy could still have a sizable collection in a small amount of time. Somewhere along the lines you bought a game store, and became the exact opposite of what the homegrown collector rails against. All these wonderful pickups that you make are for shame since you are no longer challenged with trying to find the gems and are going to step on them for profit. Hey I'm not jealous of your good fortune, I'm just upset at how you and the channel have changed.
Can you explain how you finance these big purchases? Of course you have the store cash flow but 60k is a big deal. Do you have a line of credit or some financing deals with banks?
Thank you to Phantom Blade for sponsoring todays video. Get the game free here: pbex.s-game.com/en/index.html (pbex.s-game.com/en/index.html)
hoarders... collectors edition. guy set your inventory stock up for the entire xmas rush.
Genesis does
The fact that people just leave their collections and trust you with appraisals speaks volumes to your character. You’re awesome Rick!
Especially when you see him manhandling the magazines like an acoustic donkey.
Unless the stuff was hot 🔥 😂
Seems too good to be true tho. Just saying.

How?
idc if the vid was 2hrs I would've watched the whole thing just to see some more of the boxes brought in, this is one of those extremely rare moments for a trade & you can tell just how much he loved those items. Gah damn
Rick should livestream big trades like these and just go through everything with chat.
@@nateg5505Would be cool but that would take weeks lol
It's videos like these that make me so jealous of your employees I'm sure this was alot of work for then but to be able to look through a collection like this and see cool stuff all the time is a dream.
i really hope rick gave his team overtime or a big bonus for staying til 3am and coming back in at 8.
That’s a Negative 😂
All the team of staff seem to be pretty happy to work there I'm sure he takes care of them
He gave them free copies of E.T. on the Atari
Sounds like a pizza party
This thread is so effin stupid and toxic. But that’s the internet these days…
This must’ve been so fun, I live for this!
It was great meeting you today! Enjoy the content and keep up the great work.
Way to crowbar the Phantom Blade ad in there. No build up, no transition, just BAM! Ad!
The way the guy opened the door of his van, you can see he was READY to part with his collection! 😆
Hearing something is going into your personal collection is heart warming, knowing it isn't going to someone who'll mistreat it. :)
A nice Christmas/End of Year Bonus is a great way to show your employees you appreciate them. Something like a weeks pay cash hush hush under the table type of bonus. Everyone feels good after getting some $100 bills in an envelope!

It is 100% worth it keep up the really good work🎉
You're blessed Rick! Surely there was another retro store between Cali and Arkansas, but he wanted you to have it!
Man that Masters of the Universe figure was unpunched till you threw it back in the bin and it became punched !
lmao I noticed that as well. So many of these youtubers handle product so rougly idk why
Holy!!! What a freaking collection!!!!!!
As a collector myself, IDK why but it always makes me sad to see other collectors sell their collections. I understand though everybody has their reasons.
Oh snap!! I’m in this video in the green shirt in the background at the 13 minute mark!!
3:36 I love you Riff haha I lost it

That van was stuffed to the brim! Some good stuff in that buy. Rick, I love the nkotb shirt lol. And I like the new intro.

Retro Rick is one of a kind my man's got a New Kids on the Block t-shirt on with no fucks given👍
Will was an amazing person to have met!
That man is the master of packing a van!!!
To be honest I’d have so much fun and personal fulfillment going through and pricing all that stuff for the trade
That quick pee wee edit had me rollin 🤣
HOLY SHIT, the Wizard "california" DUDE, godlike ^^
The editing is so good in this videos 🤣
To the storage unit the extras go!
Seems like yesterday Devil’s Third came out and there was a big Scalping controversy brewing on TH-cam and in the gaming community. Time flies! Party On, Rick!
I love Will 😂❤
Immediately recognized that kid at the beginning from The Wizard. Except, he didn't know how to party.
Love the new intro
I can hear jublife city as your looking at the pokemon cards how fitting 😅
Lol I’ve got to make a trip to your store soon. Looking for some particular items I cannot find in the wild where I live.

Should make a vid just showing the higher end Pokémon cards cuz, that’s where most of the money was at
@RetroRick if this collection came back in June, I was there the next day with my dad! I put you on FaceTime with your buddy Austin haha! I’ve been waiting to see this video!!
Where did that Fallout Power Armor statue come from?!?! So sick! I haven't noticed that before.
The never ending story with Retro Rick
Love you guys! Great video!
Man, if I lived near you I'd volunteer to work for you! Living the dream bro!
Rick is right about shakedown hawaii.

Dude my like bumped this video up from 1.3k to 1.4k!
Luv the wizard reference lol
I miss the intro with super mario soundtrack and talkboy

3:37 lol
Love you content Rick
The only time buying this much inventory makes sense is when you get it at way below market price so you can make a huge profit
Y'all killed it!
Do you have a website where you sale some stuff
I need to come there for the Nintendo Powers alone. Fuel my new addiction.
So much for un-punched motu @2:44. Anyone else see the card become punched out of nowhere
Nice haul!
So much amazing stuff
Thank you for this fabulous content
So how much did they buy this collection from the guy for?
11 seconds in and your "Caaallliiifffooorrrnnniiiiaaaaaa" edit made me choke on my coffee. Thanks. LOLOL
OMFG that Pokemon collection is worth millions!!
Where’s the what not link?
I have two unusual pieces I've been trying to sell but they may be too niche
That Illusion of Gaia shirt though!
Rick must have some crazy capital to play with.
"We're not Pokemon experts or anything." Scrolls right past a Shining Magikarp and Light Arcanine without even mentioning them, to be like "Wow, Fossil!" At least your honest about not being Pokemon experts.
Great stuff man!
Serious question, are you profitable? After the rent, utilities and paying your employee's, are you making money?
It is unpunched now lol.
2:43 unpunched, 2:44 he punched it lol
I got a wii u kiosk from gamestop because they was tossing it when the switch came out
Is one those big Darth Vaders for sale at your store ?
Praise you RETRO!!!
Dusty is dope
yo sega dude how r do u continue a save file in defenders of oasis this shit is not making sense and i wanna continue my dave fave but it not working wtffff
Your boy basically pulled up and said “make me rich please” 😂
Dude Adam looks like Hardy’s long lost brother Tardy

Ya'll low-key need a loading dock. Have Riff drive the forklift.
Ok, I felt bad for Rick when I brought my collection in.... I no longer feel bad. lol😂
Nice new intro! :)
Do a vid on what the hiring process is like for the store…
It's like when they open the cage in Jurassic Park. Just open it and run.
Woot woot!
Can you explain how you finance these big purchases? Of course you have the store cash flow but 60k is a big deal. Do you have a line of credit or some financing deals with banks?
its pocket change lol
Absolutely took out a line of credit. No way would a store that size just have 60k to hand out without preparation
This collection is cool
This is my favourite intro if you could keep it
i didnt know mini me was with vader now 1:20
Seriously I’ll pay a premium for that smash melee bundle. Is there any way to make a sale online. I’m in nyc. Ps Love your videos!
Retro Rick
I would have to bet that a Just Dance game is the last Wii U game made.
so what did the owner of everything make?? it says $60000 in the thumbnail ha he make close to that?
pure heat
