There are a few compact flagships available, though not many. The ASUS ZenFone 10 and Sony Xperia 5 V are two such smartphones that will be compared in this video.
Although each of these phones is a great option in and of itself, this article should be able to assist you if you're having trouble deciding. The ZenFone 10 has been available since June, while the Xperia 5 V only just went on sale a few days ago.
Both devices have the most up-to-date specifications, but they differ greatly in many ways. In addition to having distinct design languages, they also differ in other ways, such as in the spec department. We'll compare them across several different categories after first listing their specifications side by side.

Just a bit of info to correct, these are not "small phones" they are *normal sized phones*. Most phones these days come in "too big size". I wish ASUS would pay up to get Dolby Atmos because it is INCREDIBLE in a phone. OZO does do quite a good job but it's nowhere near as impressive as Dolby Atmos. Also what neither this video nor any other review video will ever mention is the fact that ASUS still maintain their own Gallery app. This I find CRITICAL due to the fact I do not WANT to be forced to have all my photos and video funnelled to my Google storage, which then gets filled up REAL fast. Yes you can download alternative Gallery apps but why should I have to? What exact stress was it causing Sony to maintain their in-built, native Gallery app. For those unaware (and most people won't be, because the big reviewers never bother mentioning it because they never use their freebie preview phones day to day, it's on to the next one), the Zenfone 11 also has ASUS' own gallery app - for those who are okay with a too-big sized phone.

These two are 3mm slimmer then the S23 and Iphone 15.
So they are 68mm wide instead of 71 which both of S23 and Iphone 15 are.
5% slimmer then the normal average phone
Went to a physical store and held the zen10 the Sony 5V and then tried the S23 and could very well see myself buying the S23 its the same level of size to me.
Did not buy any of them since thought the zen10 was to big

Dont think that is true at all. Sony is a company that adapts slowly but will stay around for a long time. Just like Mazda in the car industry they have a loyal follow beacuse of their non mainstream focous. That said 4 year support should be added as most sony owners dont change phones often anyway so no loss for them really.

      @ministrytech  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

Sony does indeed have a dedicated fan base due to its unique approach in the market, similar to Mazda's position in the automotive industry. Both companies have cultivated a loyal following by focusing on differentiation rather than chasing the mainstream trends.
Regarding the 4-year support suggestion, it could be a valuable addition for Sony owners who tend to hold onto their devices for longer periods. This would not only enhance customer satisfaction but also align with Sony's reputation for longevity and reliability. Thank you for sharing your insights!@@roundlake96

The software performs as expected for me, and the extra tools have been useful. Even the screen recording software from the ROG Phone was included by Asus. Of course, I prefer to use a smartphone to its fullest potential, so I turn off all power-saving features and increase the frame rate to its highest setting. To disable features like OptiFlex, which is designed to speed up app launches for your most frequently used apps, Asus has built-in options.
So, yes, I'm happy with the performance of the phone in addition to the software. The only restriction is that security updates are only available for four years and every two OS updates.
Refresh rate is the only feature that has been improved; however, outside of gaming, the display is only capable of running at a maximum of 120Hz. The 10 operates similarly to the 9 in all other situations and has the same four modes-Auto, which is always on by default, and settings for 120Hz, 90Hz, and 60Hz.

If you're encountering issues with your device, I would recommend reaching out to Sony's customer support or visiting an authorized service center to address your concerns. They may be able to offer troubleshooting assistance or, if necessary, provide repairs or replacements under warranty.
Additionally, it could be helpful to provide more details about the specific issues you're facing with the Xperia 5 IV. This information could potentially assist other users who may be experiencing similar issues or help prospective buyers make informed decisions.
If you're considering alternatives, there are many other excellent smartphones available on the market with a wide range of features and price points. Feel free to reach out if you need any recommendations or further assistance in finding a device that better suits your needs.

On zenfone you can't unlock the bootloader so sony is better

@@DimaKirivel This is done, as I understand it, for security, isn't it? Although I am not against Sony, I also liked Asus.

@@ministrytech Nope. Security isn't a reason. By unlocking bootloader you can make your old phone less obsolete, and with asus you can't do it, and the funny thing is that on zenfone 9 it was unlockable

@@DimaKirivel Now I will know, I don’t particularly understand unlocking bootloader, because I’m afraid of breaking the phone or ruining it. It’s really very funny that in the 9th generation it was, but now it’s not. Why did it have to be removed, what was the point?
