Great info Matt, there are many effiencies contractors need as it can be challenging to be on top of everything in a jobsite and back office. We help with back office, I would like to connect!
Totally back you up Matt, we have 4 older model Ricoh Theta camers used by our nature reserve volunteers during maintence, tree planting and teaching sessions and they are superb, easy to use and wouldn't use anything else now!
Thank you Ricoh for sponsoring todays video! For a limited time, use coupon code: MBW10 for 10% OFF of RICOH THETA on Ricoh Imaging America web site: us.ricoh-imaging.com/shop/#section-theta Valid until 12/31 on qualifying products that are shipped in the US!
Hey Matt just waiting for a new video . Regardless wish the best for your fam always . No matter what we go tru let’s always look forward . One minute at a time
I had a new home built in 2019 and took thousands of point-and-click pictures and it is coming so handy with running expanded cat cabling fiber optics and all kinds of other stuff that I wish I ran at the framing stage/ruff and stage but didn't. If I would have had one of these cameras it would have been so much easier as I could have taken a walk-through video every couple days and have those to go through rather than thousands upon thousands of pictures.
This is great for future reference however the same for lawyers looking to screw you. After a very expensive and consuming lawsuit by a buyer for something that was never our fault our insurance company paid out $350,000 on our behalf. That was after we had to pay our lawyer $45,000 out of our pocket to watch what their lawyer was doing behind the scenes. It cost me a year of stress in my life, loss of productivity for our company, and a bitter view of what I loved to do before the lawyers showed up. After much searching we found that this buyer had successfully sued three other builders and won all three times. I always take full documentation pictures now however NEVER tell any one that we have them. We keep the photos on an electronic file that we keep under a separate entity name in an undisclosed location so no one can find them. Think about it!
Insta360 does the same thing at half the price. Maybe this has some features the Insta360 camera doesn't have as many features or is as easy to use? I was going to buy one for racing videos at the track. Maybe down the road I'll get a Ricoh Theta to see what the diff is between them.
We use “OpenSpace”. A 360 view camera mounted to a hard hat. All you do is walk around with it at a slower pace and it snaps the 360 photos for you. It uploads to the app and can be seen from our PM in other states.
Hey Matt hope your holidays went well with your family! I have some questions about bidding houses Im 22 just starting my own framing company what is your up charge % going from 2x4 to 2x6 walls and 9' to 10' heights and do you upcharge the same amount for those things regardless if the house in low end or high end custom stuff! I appriciate your feedback and videos. Thank you
Very cool. I kinda want to get one just for shiz and giggles. Since it obviously has to do some magic to transform the data it shoots into an exported flat image or video frame, does it automatically know what direction "up" is? Can you specify an alternate "up" (or "forward", for that matter), if you want to do more creative stuff?
th-cam.com/video/M-jwhvt36BU/w-d-xo.html This is what the video looks like straight out of camera. You can scroll around to watch what you want! For post production, you can set it to fixate on one area, which is really helpful.

Appreciate your Canon support! We do make some good “stuff”😅
I have a question are you guys the contractors for the whole job start to finish or just the framers

would you still do this on a commercial job site?
Commercial, no. Unless I owned the building or the owner covered it.
Did you go to carpenter school or are you self taught
At the end we all need a place to sleep... That's justice.
