      Thanks so much! 😊. I would love to brighten it up a little since it is the darkest room in the house but it is nice and big.

    I try some prep the night before (make bottles, sit out Ollie’s clothes) but I could definitely do better at being more consistent with it!! Plus I should definitely start picking my clothes the night before! I waste so much time in the morning trying to pick clothes

      I admit that I’m not good at that either.

    Terri, it is so true that the morning routine stsrts with yhe rvening routine the night before. I'm getting my evening routine down. It's been 16 days, as of ladynight on my "eat at t he table" 30 fay challenge, and it's working! I have not gone to bed without cleaning up and closing down yhe house and getting ready for bed. It's tsking linger than I'd like, but I'm getting a lithle quicker and more efficient as I go. It makes me look forard to starting my morning routine.

    Hey Terri. I have an update on my evening g routine. Lastnight, for the first time in I fon't know when, indtead of taking 2 hours or more to do yhe evening clean-up...it took me...wait for it...1 hr and 15 min! The strategies I've put in place the past few months are now paying off!
    The one thing, I think, that I ley for me In getting g o. Top of my routines more efficiently, is not to ever quit and start over, but when I get frustrated with jow ling it takes me, just kerp persevering and in the meantime, continue to look for ways to mak even one task easier, or to determine if a task can be done during a different part of the day. And lots of patience with myself. Anyway, just wanted to let you know how it's going, since my evening routines have have a huge struggle for so long. I hope you are having a great day!

      Congrats!!! I remember when you started off you were so overwhelmed. Just finding that determination to keep going. I love that you have found things that work like the bracelets. I can't wait to see what you figure out next!

      @TodaywithTerriK terri. Thanks! Actually, I've found that good, upbeat classical music, just instrumental, helps me focus during timed cleaning sessions and cooking sessions that need my full focus. I leave videos where someone is talking for tasks that don't need full focus, or for breaks.

    How do you keep fam from messing it up?

    • @TodaywithTerriK
      @TodaywithTerriK  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      I don’t. I try to encourage them not to leave a mess but I’m not going to nag. I have certain rules and other stuff is case by case.

      I@@TodaywithTerriKI try to do the same. I like Fly Lady's rule that every room has its "shiny sink". In my living rolm, it's the main couch. The whole room could be a disaster, but that couch better be clear at all times so that I, or anyone else in the house can sit when they need to put their feet up, even if it's only for a few minutes. Also, my kitchen ow has w "shiny sinks"...the actual sink and the kitchen table. My kitchen table is both tge place where we usually eat our meal, and it's also my work space when I need the extra counter space It is not allowed to turn into a catch-all anymore.

    I have adhd too and I struggle to get the motivation to do this everyday. How do you do it?

    • @TodaywithTerriK

      Honestly some days are hard but I have my 5 morning tasks that I do in a chunk so I won’t skip. I’m not perfect but in a month I flipped from 5/31 times to 25/31 times so I’m counting it as a win! I use a digital planner that I plan my day the night before. Lists help me. I also get hyper focused when I listen 🎧. I now know it really doesn’t take long.
