I just bought one, I wanted to test my grounding sheets to see if they work. By simply plugging in the red and black wire and not even touching anything the numbers were going crazy. Is that normal? lol. First time using a multimeter, idk anything about this stuff. I bought this same device from the video.
@@jasonmansoor7516 sometimes the numbers can jump around a little. Try putting your meter in resistance or continuity mode, and touch your test lead tips together. Should stabilize the numbers 👍
Great video. I have an AstroAI AC/DC clamp meter that I've had great luck with. Their meters really are a good bang for the buck.
@@mlieser1230 thank you! And yeah I really like their stuff! Glad to hear it’s served you well

Lovely tutorial, thank you! ❤
I'm about to buy this DMM on Amazon 🇬🇧, as my very first multimeter... 🫢
@@PureAwareness76 thank you. And congratulations! Just be careful with the thermocouple test leads 👍
You’re right about the temperature thermocouple it’s not accurate. The temperature stays the same either attached to ice or boiling water.
@@thereckchanic4709 dang it! Possibly a manufacturing flaw if you’re experiencing the same thing. Thank you for sharing
This is a good meter. A huge upgrade from my 5$ walmart one
@@ex7229 yeah I think it’s awesome! Glad to hear you made the upgrade. I’m sure that’ll be very useful
The frequency of AC in all of North America is 60 Hz
@@bernardocisneros4402 good to know! I was in the fence about that one. Thanks for letting us know 👍
