I am not surprised Saka is finding it hard this season. In the 21/22 people did not see as much of a threat so they weren't doubling up on him and his G/A was not high enough to warrant two defenders doubling up on him. Fast forward to the 22/23 (last season), Saka had added new levels to his game that players weren't familiar with his game so Saka had time and space to create a crazy G/A. Mixed that with a side that nobody expected to do that well many teams could not handle Arsenal. It was not till the latter stages of the season you could tell. Hence many people were saying Saka was not doing as well during the end of the season. But now in the 23/24 season Arsenal are considered a "good side" Many teams are giving them respect and rightfully so but the downside of that is now Saka is being doubled up nearly every game, and Odegaard is not getting the time he is used to having and the team as a whole has to be double as sharpe in their attack and defence. That being said they have only lost once in the league and in my eyes have an amazing defence. It is only Arsenal and City's defence when I look and think they are huge. Even in midfield Kai and Declan are very big strong players. It is crazy when you think about it. Our defence (DM included) has been better than our attack but last season it was the other way round. If we can fix our issues in attack it would be scary hours for the league.

As a Burnley fan who has seen a structure and philosophy under dyche for many years that Burnley fans never minded has shown us how well dyche set up the system formation and tactics. Where as under kompany we look so vulnerable and weak, most Burnley fans admired kompanys style of football in the championship but understood we would have to change slightly for the premier league but this has not happened. kompany has tried to play the exact same way and tried to dominate games which we don’t have the quality for in the premier league. I don’t want to slate him to much as the team has changed drastically since last season as only three of the players that won the league at ewood park started last game. Every Burnley fan likes kompany but feels something needs to change. RE Arsenal: Rice was brought in as a Partey replacement. Only issue is that he couldn’t be moved on. Arteta resorted to using Rice in Xhaka’s role as he could do a job there. Our intended midfield for the serious games is Partey-Rice-Ø. Unfortunately Partey can’t stay fit to save his own life. Havertz was never intended as a mainstay midfielder. Best guess is he was brought in to improve the attack, fill in at midfield in lesser games. Mainly to be used as an outlet to play over presses. Unfortunately he has had to play too many games. Xhaka’s true replacement is what we need to sign to complete the puzzle. A striker isn’t really needed now unless he’s a game changer ala Osimhen, Ferguson, Sesko potentially. Toney doesn’t really represent what Arsenal have been doing the past few years and it’s not just a quality issue. It’s more about his age and the needed investment to price him away (we don’t have endless resources to make that mistake). Best guess is he ends up at Chelsea/Spurs. Havertz is the intended ‘something different’ upfront at least for now. Arsenal will be fine as long as they get to January in touching distance with the league leaders. I think the only great fix for var is to adapt the nba challenge rule. Where each team have a limited amount of challenges so if you think the decision is against you as a coach you can request a challenge else you take the referee’s decision

Hate hearing big 6 fans talk about my club because it’s always very obvious that you’ve done no research, just vibes. We have more points than we did at this point in the season last year, we lost 2 key players (3 if you count Colwill) and we’re in a European comp. Fair enough, our form isn’t amazing but our last loss was to CITY and we actually came close to drawing or potentially winning that game. RE Arsenal: Rice was brought in as a Partey replacement. Only issue is that he couldn’t be moved on. Arteta resorted to using Rice in Xhaka’s role as he could do a job there. Our intended midfield for the serious games is Partey-Rice-Ø. Unfortunately Partey can’t stay fit to save his own life. Havertz was never intended as a mainstay midfielder. Best guess is he was brought in to improve the attack, fill in at midfield in lesser games. Mainly to be used as an outlet to play over presses. Unfortunately he has had to play too many games. Xhaka’s true replacement is what we need to sign to complete the puzzle. A striker isn’t really needed now unless he’s a game changer ala Osimhen, Ferguson, Sesko potentially. Toney doesn’t really represent what Arsenal have been doing the past few years and it’s not just a quality issue. It’s more about his age and the needed investment to price him away (we don’t have endless resources to make that mistake). Best guess is he ends up at Chelsea/Spurs. Havertz is the intended ‘something different’ upfront at least for now. Arsenal will be fine as long as they get to January in touching distance with the league leaders. Long essay😅
