personally I run reaper because it's nice to drop everything off at the same vendor. But I've been attacked by all different flags for no reason with or w/o so I don't really distinct having a reaper flag or not lmao

I got krackened once with myvery experienced crew while i was brand new so I was screaming like a baby as they told me the attack patterns and I heard someone playing the infernal gallop and I turned around to see a sloop hurling towards us at max speed I see one jump off holding something and BOOM there goes a tentacle. That sloop saved our lives and it was so cinematic I love sea of theives
I remember seeing this happen when I played with a group of eight. We had one of the big ships, and we were heading to port to offload some chests - our Captain decided not to leave the Sloop to the Kraken, and we sailed straight into the area, blasting the tentacles as much as we could from starboard. We managed to drive it away, and we ended up escorting the Sloop back to port after they did some repairs. We were pretty proud of ourselves.

Yeah, being in the middle of a kraken is much worse than just seeing one off in the distance. Trying fighting a skeleton ship than the water just turns black in an instant.
It was really bad in the early days because someone would be trying to sink you while you were trapped. Now it's only the fear of new players and those in combat chase scenarios. The kraken is easily killed without sinking as long as no interference from other crews exist.

I can think of worse. I was once in a crew of four aboard a galleon. We had spent hours completing an Athena voyage in the Devils Roar, volcanoes had been erupting at every island we visited and we'd been attacked twice already. We were one map away from completion and it was long past midnight, the crew was exhausted but joyful to finally be putting our quest to an end. Suddenly, the captain decided to abandon our mission and attack a skeleton fortress not far away, all to the dismay of the crew. As we sailed away from the island that held our would-be prize the waters blackened and ash rose from the nearby mountains. Just as a volcano erupted near our ship, tentacles emerged from the sea ready to tear our ship apart. Burning rocks crashed into our hull and our crew was dying faster than the ferry would release them. We were however holding back the water flooding our decks and keeping the ship afloat, that was until we heard the sound of a horn. The horn signaling a skeleton ship readying its attack. To make matters worse, it was a galleon. The final nail in the coffin our ship had become however was the megalodon that chose to attack. It was as if the seas themself had sent everything it had to destroy us. If we had only stayed on that island for a few minutes, we would have been safe. Since that day I have avoided the Devils Roar and fear to leave a voyage unfinished.
If there was an active fort then a Kraken should not have spawned, since they are counted as world events and can't attack when another event is going on. So I'd wonder why your captain was heading for the only fort in the Roar if it was inactive.

We were one map away from completion and it was long past midnight, the crew was exhausted but joyful to finally be putting our quest to an end. Suddenly, the captain decided to abandon our mission and attack a skeleton fortress not far away, all to the dismay of the crew.
As we sailed away from the island that held our would-be prize the waters blackened and ash rose from the nearby mountains. Just as a volcano erupted near our ship, tentacles emerged from the sea ready to tear our ship apart. Burning rocks crashed into our hull and our crew was dying faster than the ferry would release them.
We were however holding back the water flooding our decks and keeping the ship afloat, that was until we heard the sound of a horn. The horn signaling a skeleton ship readying its attack. To make matters worse, it was a galleon.
The final nail in the coffin our ship had become however was the megalodon that chose to attack.
It was as if the seas themself had sent everything it had to destroy us.
If we had only stayed on that island for a few minutes, we would have been safe.
Since that day I have avoided the Devils Roar and fear to leave a voyage unfinished.
If there was an active fort then a Kraken should not have spawned, since they are counted as world events and can't attack when another event is going on. So I'd wonder why your captain was heading for the only fort in the Roar if it was inactive.

I think I remember the fort despawning before the kraken appeared.
@@ThatCrazyPigeonGuy ah yeah that'll happen. They can snap you up just as soon as an event deactivates. I actually use this as a strategy. I alway try sailing during an event so I don't get krakened lol

For some reason sot doesn't trigger mine but subnautica, stranded deep I quit out when I hear a noise, but I think sot is to cartoony to trigger mine so I absolutely love it 😂

Don't know how common this is, but back when sea of thieves was big, I encountered the Kraken, Megalodon, and ghost ship at the same time.
Hearing the enemy crew but there no where to be found
i went far into the red sea, nothing happens you just get black screen
