    Your videos are always so informative and helpful, thank you! Does anyone know if we can edit any pre-made images found on creative fabrica on canva? Example: I found some pre made designs I like but I would like to crop the image out and or change the font used but i have no clue if that’s a possibility to do on canva? Thank you!

    • @CassiyJohnson
      @CassiyJohnson  2 ปีที่แล้ว +11

      Yes you can! Add the png to Canva, click "edit image", then click "background remover", then an eraser tool will pop up that will allow you to erase parts of the design, then click apply! Here is a link to the part of a video where I show this step by step th-cam.com/video/PXJQRv4j3Q0/w-d-xo.html

    Thank you so much, Cassiy! You’re so generous with the information you share. This is just the video I have been searching for. Thank you for sharing it early enough so we have time to get to work. I am very much looking forward to the logistics video to cover the other side of things! I can’t thank you enough! 😊 The tricky part now will be to also get listings up that will sell after the holidays! I opened my shop in July so I feel I am racing against the clock trying to get ready for Q4 and beyond 🤣

    • @CassiyJohnson
      @CassiyJohnson  2 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      I'll probably talk about that some in my logistics video as well or I will share a video in October of what to work on! I'd be spending about 75% of your time on holiday designs right now and then 25% of the time on more "evergreen designs" or designs that can sell at any time. A good one to try is the professions niche, because you can make one cute design and then just change the words out for each profession. This is a great way to quickly get new designs into your store without having to spend tons of time designing.
      Then in October, I'd take a week break and design for Valentines Day, St Patricks Day and the 100th day of school!

    Hi, Cassy! I absolutely love your vedos, they are very helpful and easy to follow. That's why, even though I watched them all, I tend to watch them again whenever I list something new or need a refresh in some topic. So I found that Most likely to has been submitted to trademark for shirts and clothing, not yet given a registration no, but just as well I think we should be aware. So my question is what do we do next? How can we avoid future infringements and if there is a work around to this type of thing, like can we still design this way and not use the phrase in our title, tags or description. I know you've made a video about this subject and also mention it on others, but I was wondering if you have some new insights. Thank you so much for all the valuable work that you do for all of us new to this!

    Cassiy I just wanted to thank you for your videos! They are so informative! I just opened my Etsy shop and have not made any sales but remain hopeful. I am confused about when a print provider on Printify doesn't carry a certain color ( like sand) on a sweatshirt, or they are out of stock.How can I have two print providers for the different colors I want to offer? Thank you!

    • @CassiyJohnson
      @CassiyJohnson  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You would just list the items for sale with the print provider that has the items available that you sell. Then if they go out of stock, Printify will let you know and then you will be promoted to choose a different print provider to make it for you at that time! If someone buys 2 items from you and they are made by 2 different providers, then you just need to let the customer know that they will be coming separately.

    Wonderful guidance for all of us, Cassiy. Thanks a million. Do you group ALL of your Christmas listings in a Christmas category, or if you make a nurse Christmas shirt for example, do you put that within your nurse category? As far as I have found, you can only place a listing in one category at a time. Thanks again, and see you on the next one. 😃

    I have a techy question/maybe video idea. I am wondering how to edit an item after it has been published/synced with Etsy and not have to start all over with a new listing. If you get a chance, I'd love to hear your workaround on how to do that!

    • @CassiyJohnson
      @CassiyJohnson  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I guess it depends on what you need to edit, if you are editing the mockups, SEO or price, then you just edit this all on Etsy and it will remain synced. If you want to change the PNG, then you just need to go to that item in Printify, edit the png and change it, then republish it to Etsy. Then you will just have to add the new mockups.

    Hi. Thank you so much for all your great content. I have been learning a lot. One question I have is about the dimensions for sweatshirts on Amazon. I have designed 4500 x 5400 for everything. And is that dimension okay for Etsy? Hope this makes sense. Thank you.

    Cassiy your video is simple and easy to follow, which is awesome. Quick question on one of tutorials you mentioned you like to use athletic heather and white as your colors, for Christmas, are those still the colors you recommend? Is it better to have fewer color options, so the customer doesn't go into analysis paralysis?

    • @CassiyJohnson
      @CassiyJohnson  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes I think fewer color options are best! I do sometimes offer red and green shirts as well for holidays if it makes sense with he design but usually I make colorful designs that look best of white, black or light gray!

  • @hannaharmstrong9773
    @hannaharmstrong9773 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I am SO curious.... you mentioned a goal of having 500 Christmas listings up....I've been working for months to reach a goal of having 800 listings TOTAL up in my shop, and am still about 100 away....Anyway what I am curious about is about how many listings do you have up all together at any given time in your shop? Do you ever have listings that never sell and so you take them down? Thanks! Your vidoes are seriously the best. :)

    • @CassiyJohnson
      @CassiyJohnson  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      At any given time I will have between 1500 - 3000 listings. I have plenty of listings that don't preform, it's all just a number game and testing different things until you find what works. I usually let items renew twice to see if they will sell and if they don't, then as they renew for the third time, I will change them to manual renewal so If they don't sell in that timeframe, I will just let them expire!

    • @CassiyJohnson
      @CassiyJohnson  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      There are a lot of reasons why I like Printify more, faster shipping, more options for products and cheaper prices are the biggest ones. Here is a video I did comparing the price difference and it's drastic. th-cam.com/video/10_e5od0EVU/w-d-xo.html

    Another treasure trove of a video, Cassiy, thank you!! A possible topic for new folks might be about what to expect and how to prepare for the inevitable issues the print on demand companies have with stock when they get overwhelmed over the holidays, and have delays. How to deal with this and keep customers happy. Would love to hear your advice on this. :)

    Thank you sooooo much for yourvaluable information. Am I right in thinking that you have to have some money up front in a Printify wallet for your first couple of sales?

    • @CassiyJohnson
      @CassiyJohnson  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can either add money to your Printify wallet or connect a credit card of debit card because yes you need to pay for the item cost + shipping before they will begin making it. Then Etsy sends you the money the customer paid - Etsy fees, and you get to keep the difference.

    What do you think would be better? publishing the designs as I´m creating them or have the 500 and publish all of them in October?

    • @CassiyJohnson
      @CassiyJohnson  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Publish them all now for sure! Then you can start getting an idea of what’s working so you can make more of it, and slowly be rising in the rankings to get best sellers. Then as the masses come shopping in October and November, then you are at the top of the search results and ready!

    Thank you Cassiy for all the wonderful videos and extensive information you provide. You are extremely generous with your knowledge. I am a bit new and am having difficulty with the shipping times. In one of your videos you said (I believe) you like to do custom ship times (5-10 days). I am finding this is pushing the expected receipt date for customers out almost 3 weeks at worst case and I am concerned people will shy away from purchasing from me because they are potentially waiting so long for their item. Any help you can provide would be appreciated. Thank you.

    • @CassiyJohnson
      @CassiyJohnson  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I like to do 3-10 days for processing and 2-5 days for shipping! Sometimes it really does take that long especially closer to the holidays. So it’s better to have it set longer just in case so you don’t get customers expecting it 7 days from now and then mad when it doesn’t show up

    • @CassiyJohnson

      You can use two companies for sure but make sure not to spread yourself too thin, I would recommend focusing on selling sweatshirts and t-shirts and when those start taking off, then adding those designs potentially to new items!

    Another fantasy video!! Thanks for sharing! Just curious how much do you typically spend on advertising and do you only use Etsy ads or do you use other forms of advertising?

    • @CassiyJohnson
      @CassiyJohnson  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I've only used Etsy ads and leading up to the holidays in the past I have spent like $40/day and then during November last year I spent $100 per day. But I might even up that this year and do more. But I try to only advertise what is already working so I already know they are proven good designs that people want, I just need to get them in front of more people!

    Thank you so much, Cassiy! I learn so much from your channel. Quick question, Is there any way to have multiple products in one listing like ( v neck, toddler, onesie T-shirts sizes in one listing) sync automatically on printify, or do I have to manually fulfill each?

    • @CassiyJohnson
      @CassiyJohnson  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You could do this manually where you add all of the variations manually on Etsy but then you'd have to copy and paste EVERY SINGLE sku number for every size and color from Printify over to Etsy. So not worth it in my opinion since we do POD. I recommend having these all be separate listings and then you come up lots of times in the same search results instead of just once!

    Hi Cassiy! Thanks so much for all your hard work on youtube. You truly do a great job! I have learned so much from watching you! I have a quick question for you. I know you like to personally use Monster Digital for most of you shirts but do you ever swap up on companies if another one is cheaper priced or less time to ship like SwiftPOD or Awkward styles?

    • @CassiyJohnson
      @CassiyJohnson  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's easiest to pick one print provider for all of your apparel products and try to stick with it, that way if someone buys a few products, they aren't all shipping separate!
