Priya her mother, the reigning lorelie, never had a real relationship with a man until Rory was halfway through high school. So she never has an example of a healthy relationship until high school. Yes I’ve watched the show several times over the last 20 years.
@@blueyes6474 sorry thought you meant a real relationship with Rory, was confused since that was like the plot of the show. Still, don't think it's fair to blame it all on Lorelai; even if she wasn't great at relationships, I don't ever recall her cheating.
Really am sorry if i hurt anyones feelings by saying this.. but i am a die hard gilmore girls fan and the 'year in the life' practically almost ruined the show completely for me. Honestly super upset about it and almost wish I can erase it from my memory. idk if anyone else feels the same
As for me, Gilmore Girls stopped at the last episode of season 6, when we see Rory saying goodbye to Logan indefinitly. I like to think they would get together someday afterwards, but not like this 🙁
This is not the Rory/Logan story which I have been waiting almost 10 years for. I always hated how they finished in the finale and really hoped to see them get together properly in this revival but instead we see him engaged to someone else, they are having an affair and she ends up alone and pregnant. No No No.
I agree!!! I wish the same thing for Rory and Logan. I wish that she hadn't ended up pregnant and alone. I was hopping that she would be with Logan and not having some secret affair with him. It was kind of disappointing to be honest. :(
Well, as a Rory Logan fan, I also wanted them to be endgame. But on the other hand, I can understand why the Palladinos wanted the show to end the way it did. First, it's kind of the end of the circle. Second, she trully is her mother's daughter. Third, there are many single moms out there who can use some encouragement, that they can do that. Alone. So, yeah, I can understand the end, but still makes me sad. I would have prefered happy ending. But maybe than the other fans, who are in team Dean or team Jess would be dissapointed...
Romana 22 I don't think loan is the type to let her be a single mom if it's his. he wouldn't back out. if he's the father then it isn't the end for them
I don't think that's true. If yes, then why did Lorelai end up with Luke and not some rich guy like her mum did? Rory has her own circle and it can go either way, turn around and be completely different. What was shown to us is just the beginning, not the end. The circle is, that she is pregnant but the circumstances are already different that the one's from her mum. They only thing I am afraid of is what else could be done to Logan's development.
Logan already proposed to her and wanted to marry her, so I'm sure if he finds out that she's pregnant that is if Logan is the Father, I'm sure again Logan will ask Rory to marry him and the question now, is Rory willing to accept Logan proposal for the 2nd time
rjonahlyn I wish, but my luck with straight couples is horrible and ASP seems to dislike Logan and his relationship with Rory. If there is another season I am sure they'll be even more screwed for some cheap - copy paste - comparisions.
Agreed. I hate how Amy regressed Logan's character. Like, wth? Everyone is so sure she'll end up with Jess but what they fail to notice is how well Rory always seemed to fit into "that world"...."Logan's world".
It seems as if Rory in more episodes to come, she will most likely end up with Jess. Alexis even in an interview compared Logan's character to Christopher, and obviously that is not good. Honestly, Jess=Luke & Rory=Lorelai... it seems like Amy is heading that way at least to me.
Rory always had the most chemistry with Logan. Rory never hated the "wealthy" life style like her mother did. Logan understood her and intellectually, they were on the same level. Tristan was personally my favorite and really wished that story line could have been followed at some point.
Idk. I think he wouldn’t be there to save face and to save himself and Odette from losing their fortune. He’s tied up pretty well. He left his fathers company to strike out on his own but he obviously didn’t make it long before returning to his dads company, fortune and legacy. I wouldn’t count on his “honor”. Lol.
MexicanJL970 Logan isn’t that honorable. The guy has no values (stealing boats/stealing from his girlfriends grandparents, cheating, being the other guy, making Rory the other woman, drinking/partying. Not to mention the fact that he constantly complained about his privileged lifestyle but reaped the benefits of it. And he never did anything to get away from his father He’s a weak character).
A Year in the Life did Logan and Rory dirty. They didn’t deserve that. Rory was not the type of girl to be a mistress and I really thought Logan would grow to be better than his father.
... except that she was a mistress. With Dean. - she pursued and kissed Jess when she was with Dean, slept with Dean when he was married, started pursuing Logan when she was with Dean the second time around, kissed Jess while she knew she was going back to Logan- and now sleeping with Logan now that he is engaged. She has ALWAYS been that girl.
Yes. She said she couldn't be in an open relationship it wasn't her.And he gave up that lifestyle for her. So as you say , Who the hell wrote the crud they crud they call A Year in The Life? The scenes with Alex Kingston ✂️ the scenes with all the different chef's ✂️ The scenes with the (kill me now) musical and Kurt ,✂️ . The scenes with Paris , going on about the stairs, ✂️. The crap scenes with Lane (seems like she was just an after thought, oh we forgot the Asian girl!)she was hardly in it and it was so badly written. ✂️. The scenes where she goes for the job interview ✂️ Was it not Rory who went went back to her internship and begged for a job and waited and wore the editor down. So this character is not Rory. Did she or did she not get a job on the Obama campaign as press etc So not even Rory.
@@comreality Finally someone who really saw the show.. the people in the coments don't see that rory is not that inocent, just make people see her that way..
@@comreality Jess pursued her, he constantly flirted with her when she had a boyfriend. And also it takes two to commit an affair, Dean chose to cheat on his wife with her. It isn’t only her fault. And Logan shouldn’t cheat on his fiancée
I used to ship Jess and Rory but he's better off without her. She'd just cheat on him. Also? Logan is completely taking away his fiancee's ability to choose someone better and lead her own life, by not being honest with her. They're both awful.
KaoruSan241 true like Rory used to be such a good person and had her priorities straight but now she's messed up and I fell like Jess or Dean would be a better influence for her though
Nadia Carrillo:Dean was a much better influence on her she said so herself when she explained what she wanted to say about dean in her book. I feel like Rory is just following in the footsteps of her Mom Loreali when her mom was younger
Rory, What are you doing? You refused to marry Logan, now he is engaged to someone else and you are sleeping with him? You lost your virginity to Dean who was married at 16 and at 32 you are still doing the same thing? I am really disgusted with Rory. Please do something about this character. I hope she ends up with Logan.
@@hope_frasier2421 not an excuse for cheating on someone.... Same as Rory and Dean having an affair, it's not okay even if they are in love. Break up with the person your with, or don't fucking cheat asshole.
sherlock holmes !! I know, I found in a website (I don't remember where) the theory that says that Rory and Logan aren't Lorelai and Chris, they are more loke Richard and Emily, in this scene, you can see certain partnership between them, at least at the beginning, and partnership is a word that fits with Richard and Emily
sherlock holmes !! yeah, you're right, Christopher broke up with Lorelai before having sex with other people at least, so she was able to move on with Luke. Rory and Logan are both trash for doing this, and I feel sorry for his fiancée who is missing out on HER luke and wasting her life with a cheater.
Aldana Páez Logan parallels Christopher in the sense that him and Rory love each other but they aren’t the right fit. Logan is the guy Rory can’t let go of, just as Christopher is the guy Lorelai couldn’t let go of. That doesn’t mean that Logan and christopher aren’t their own charterers or that they don’t parallel other characters. I think Jess parallels Lorelia. Jess and loralia are witty. They both use sarcasm and humor as a defense mechanism. They’re mind works similarly (they make the same jokes). They ran away from home as teens, they made something of themselves. Also Jess isn’t all Stars Hollow like Luke and Dean are. He fits into the Stars Hallow world and with the city intellectuals (he’s from NY).
Redskybluecherry I disagree with her. GG suffers from a certain snobbery that rich guys or anyone associated with Richard and Emily’s background is somehow flawed. And anyone in a bohemian background is somehow a better fit. I don’t think Luke was the right fit for Lorelei and Jess isn’t the right fit for Rory. And Logan is nothing like Christopher they just have similar backgrounds. His relationship with Rory was probably her best one. I think he proposed originally WAY to early. The saddest part in this sequel for me was watching Lorelai in a stagnant relationship with someone who doesn’t challenge her and lacks ambition.
What was wrong with the screenwriter. Logan and Rory deserved better. Logan was so right for her. On Season 6, Rory messed up, Logan was always by her side. Of course, as all of the reasons, Lor is always been my favourite.
the worst quality of rory's character is that she always followed her heart (which is not usually a bad thing) and didn't care who she hurt. when she was with dean she fell for jess, this is understandable for a 17-year-old, but what's bad is she didn't break up with dean for a long time knowing full well she wanted someone else. in fact he broke up with her. and then she again wanted to be with dean even though he was married but she could care less about Lindsay! then with logan, she was pissed at him for sleeping around and wanted to get revenge so she kissed jess who she knew was still in love with her. in the revival as well, she sleeps with logan bc she loves him but she could care less about her boyfriend or logan's fiancee as long as rory gets what rory wants. the first three cheating I understand somewhat because she was young but in the revival she is on an another level. and her actions after of all these instances are terrible.
Used to be a jess and rory shipper..but then i realised rory is horrible! She cheated on dean when she kissed jess..she slept with dean when he was still married! She kissed jess when shes still with logan, and she slept with logan when he has a girlfriend..what the hell? And Jess is still in love with her after how many years and she is not?whats so great abt rory??If anything , jess deserves us and not rory :P
Rory is insanely conventionally attractive and that gives her privilege. And men will choose attractiveness over almost anything. The whole theme of the Gilmore girls is that privilege gives second chances and unfair advantages. Paris and Lane are much better people but it doesn't matter they don't look like Rory. Rory's antics do hurt her to a degree. But in the end there will always be people that will give everything for her even though she doesn't deserve it.
Defending Rory and Logan’s infidelity to their respective partners is despicable. I never liked Logan to begin with and Rory became insufferable when she was with him. She is easily the worst character in the show and after seeing this, they really deserve each other. Dean and Jess are both so much better off without her. I find it odd that Amy Sherman Palladino was willing to destroy Rory’s integrity and likability in what was supposed to be closure for fans of the original show.
The entire point of the show was to show how privilege can make people likeable despite being horrible. Rory never really had integrity. She was extremely likeable just like Logan is extremely likeable despite both being rather deplorable people. But that is the whole point.
So if they are repeating history which it seems like they are trying to do I will be PISSED. Like why? What is the point in that. That is just lazy writing. Make something new. Have Rory TELL Logan (if it is his- probably will be) let him make a decision (it would be even more out of character if he was like- um no I don't want to raise it with you) and then let them rebuild. Why would they hold on for years if they didn't still love each other? Rory and Logan challenge each other. The way they wrote both of their characters was sad. I have always loved Emily and she is the best thing to come out of this revival.
thestaceofspade they maybe want to put Rory and Logan in the same situation that Lorelai and Christopher but with a different result: if Logan is the father I'm sure he is going to marry her. That's what Christopher was supposed to do when he decided to marry Lorelai before knowing that Sherry was pregnant...he should've kept his word to Lorelai. Now Logan is engaged with someone else but he is going to do the right thing if he is the father of Rory's baby ;)
thestaceofspade I don't think Logan would've stuck around for Rory and the baby. I think he would've bailed. Last we saw of him, he was venturing out on his own to California without his dad's money or that lifestyle. So it's obvious he's driven by money, the rich lifestyle and the womanizing because here he is back under his dad's company and inheritance and cheating with Rory. He's exactly his fathers' son. So if there was a chance he could've gotten his money cut off or lose his position with his dad's company because of his affair with Rory (plus adding a kid to the mix!) when he was supposed to be engaged and marry this heiress, I doubt he would've stuck it out with Rory right away. Maybe years down the road, he'd come around.
People are drawing conclusions about Logan with a string connected to Christopher when they should be connecting him with Mitchum, his own dad, because that's who he's emulating and coming from. All the signs are right there. He's a player just like his dad.
The point isn't really about repeating history. The point is about privilege. They are supposed to be seen as still loving one another. But Logan is rich, attractive, and charming. His privilege means he gets to love and be loved by more than one woman. Rory is also extremely attractive and charming. And while not rich herself she has a line of people who will support her financially. And her attractiveness and charm means she can go around cheating and ruining relationships but it doesn't matter. There will always be people chasing her. This is contrasted with the other characters. Characters who don't get second chances. Characters that have to fight for imperfect relationships and careers because they don't have second chances and backups. The characters are written perfectly. If there is a flaw in the writing its that they did such a good job of showing how we all fall for the privileged people despite them being terrible that many people didn't even notice the point until the revival. It was supposed to be obvious even in the early seasons of the show and especially with Logan later that these were flawed people getting away with their flaws because of their privileges.
Out of all the relationships Rory had, I felt Logan was the best. They had a great chemistry and dynamic. The circumstances that linked them in the revival wasn't ideal but, then that's life. sometimes, things aren't so cut and dry. The one thing that was clearly stated was that they both couldn't quit each other. At least not completely. I'm hoping for more seasons but, if not it was left on a good note. It was believable.
Kristin Molina I thought Jess and Rory had the best chemistry. I hated Logan to be honest. As a separate character he was somewhat tolerable, but as Rory’s love interest he was annoying. He ruined her character.
Not ideal? Cheating is never ever okay... If you think that, just because they love each other its okay to cheat you need to wake up. What Rory and Logan is doing is disrespectful and I honestly thought Rory would know better after the whole Dean fiasco, but she never grew up.. this whole revival was a joke and so bad because even though it been 10 years, non of them had grown up. It was only Jess, Dean, Paris that had grown up. Lorelei were annoying as hell and still wasn't sure about Luke, what the hell? Rory was suddenly much more of a spoiled brat than before and Logan was still an asshole. I absolutely adored Logan when we first met him, but the moment he was okay with Rory dropping out and becoming a socialite I was done with him! Bottom line, these two are assholes for cheating...
Magic Books people also like to forget that when you cheat not only are you taking away that persons choice to move on, your also risking their health. Diseases exist people. So that love is complicated at that point means shit.
@@nykerianash1590 overall cheating isn't okay, not matter what lies behind. If you don't want to be with someo anymore, break up with them. If you feel a need to sleep with someone else, then you clearly don't love the person your with, break up with them. It's just not okay, it's the lowest you can get and they didn't even seem like they felt bad for doing it. At least when Rory and Dean was having an affair, they were thinking about what's her face and a out hurting her. Here it was just like they were in a relationship and Logan just so happened to have a fiance on the side. It was like it was completely normal and they weren't doing anything wrong. I wanted to slap Rory and her entitlement in this scene. Such a bad character development...
Rory fell in love so many times but was never able to get married. She had a fear of marraige due to her mother. I'm surprised rory never picked up a book to learn about it. It's honestly better to try having a marraige than cheating around with married people. It's people like her that ruin marraiges just make up your damn mind
Tbh I feel like Rory doesn't want any guy unless he's with other girls then she gets competitive and jealous and feels threatened. With Dean when she was with him, she started losing feelings. As soon as he was married suddenly her love for him came back. With Jess, when she saw him with Shane she got jealous and wanted him. With logan, she started wanting him at first when she knew other girls wanted him. When he loved her she let him go and now that he has a fiancee, she's back.
I loved Rory and Logan more than anything . I hate how they ended the revival I really thought they were going to end up together maybe she might tell Logan and hopefully he would step up and be a father. I hope they don't make his character like Christopher
I just hate the way they portrayed their relationship evolution in this 10 years with Rory and Logan. With all the history they had, they really deserved so much better than this mistress/cheater bullshit.
I'm not gonna lie I've always been a Jess fan but I liked Logan. Dean was a fine first love but it makes sense they didn't last. With that said I just really want to rant right now. This was one of my biggest issues with the Revival. The fact that Logan was engaged to another woman and was sleeping with Rory makes me really dislike them as a couple. I was thinking if they did get back together it wouldn't be them acting like complete butt heads. I know it was meant to be funny when Rory kept forgetting about her boyfriend in the side but to me that was just trash. She didn't have any respect for him or the girl that Logan was engaged to. The minute she knew he was engaged she should have cut that romantic tie with him and if she couldn't then she should of cut all communication off. She became Deans mistress and now she's going to be Logans? And everyone hopes that she's pregnant with his kid and wants them to leave his fiancé to be with her? No I hope it that weird chewbacca guy she had that one night stand with and Logan gets married. Honestly I think Jess could do better, Logan is just as trash as she is. And I'm not slut shaming her I find it wrong to sleep with another persons intimate partner for any reason. And same for Logan. Chewy baby 🐾
It was briefly implied that Logan and Odette's engagement was set up by their parents - from there, some people have inferred that the two agreed to an open relationship, and Logan is asking Rory to leave not because he's doing anything wrong, per se, but because he doesn't want to rub Odette's face in it. Obviously, however, that's pure speculation, and we won't know for sure unless there's another season.
You know what I don’t get, don’t get me wrong I’m team Logan and I love Rory but, anyone notice that When Logan cheated on Rory with all those girls she was so hurt, but never once stopped to think what she was doing to Logan fiancé and Deans wife which is worse than what Logan did to Rory
As much as I hated the revival I think this is the most realistic. Rory is afraid of commitment like her mother. She said no to Logan’s proposal and to that first job because she thought something better would come along. Yet I think it was Logan that was motivating her and pushing her to take risks and find opportunities. I hate that she is also planning on raising a child on her own exactly like her mother even though she saw how upset her Dad was that he missed out on raising her. Hard fact: Most of us think that life is going to always get better but without drive, push and motivation you end up in the exactly the same place! I still cried in this after this revival. Cried because I prefer these shows to have cheesy endings that are happy and escape the reality of life.
This is heartbreaking as a really big fan of rory more then anyone on the show beside Jess it’s disappointing watching her do the things she swear up and down she would never do🙁
The only one who didn't made Rory make bad desicions is Jess. She slept with Dean while he was married. She sleeps with Logan while he is engaged. But Jess never made her a worse human. He never made Rory be anything but herself and that's why I love him so much. They make eachother better, not worse. I hope he will be her Luke, while Logan is gonna be her Christopher or however you want to call it But I am not sure if this is going to happen because it would be kinda lame to make her life exactly like her mother's... But it was better than making her stay with Logan
Bellatrix Black Yeah, Jess just made her miserable and sad. I can't see why people who ship Rory and Jess can't see that Jess was a terrible boyfriend. Dean was the perfect first boyfriend and yeah he did something stupid and cheated on his wife with someone who didn't even love him. But Logan is cheating on his fiancé with someone who he had loved since college and someone who has loved him since college someone he wanted to spend forever with. Rory is the epic love of his life, it's not a mistake that they are together what they are doing is wrong but it's not wrong that they are together. She is at her best when she is with Logan, he showed her the world and he showed her that there is so much more to life than just because stuck. What did Jess do for her? Okay she got back into Yale because of him, and now she's writing a book because of him. But that's all. And really that is nothing. Jess was horrible to Rory he never treated her like how Logan treated her, Jess never fought for her when he finally had her he didn't think that he should do much to keep her. He never loved her, she was something to win. But Logan still loves her. They are meant to be.
Sorry but they didn't make her do anything horrible. She is and was always old enough to realize what was the right decision. She is just a horrible person. I don't get it... How someone so talented ended up being just that.
iLove PaulWesley I hate when people romanticize cheating. Jess might have not been the best boyfriend while he was dating Rory but he’s made up for his past mistakes long ago. He’s a better man than Logan ever was. Jess never cheated on anyone (he broke up with Shane before dating Rory). He never made Rory the other woman, and he has enough dignity not to be the other guy. Let’s not forget that jess was a teen when he made his mistakes and Logan is in his 30’s and still acting like a child. If he wants to break away from his father, why doesn’t he? He complains about his privileged lifestyle but reaps the benefits of it. When Rory was with Logan she was whimpy, passive, and directionless. Being in Logan’s world amplified her entitlement and bad qualities. When Rory was with Logan she stole a boat, dropped out of Yale, even stood by as he stole from her grandparents. When she was with Jess she was sharp and witty. Jess is the one who got her to go back to Yale and to write a book. He provides stability and helps her get her life back on track. Logan just makes everything worse.
AnaAgC I agree that she was old enough to make her own decisions. Rory wasn’t an angel and she definitely screwed up before Logan came into her life but Logan did amplify all her bad qualities and make things worse. She stole a boat when she was with him and felt insecure when she was around him and his dad, causing her to drop out of Yale. The people we surround ourselves with influence us, whether we realize it or not.
Zoey M Rape: The crime of rape generally refers to non-consensual sexual intercourse that is committed by physical force, threat of injury, or other duress. "Sexual coercion is when tactics like pressure, trickery, or emotional force are used to get someone to agree to sex. It can be as as simple as encouraging someone to have a few too many drinks, or it can hide inside threats like "I'll leave you if you don't sleep with me." But no matter what form it takes, sexual coercion isn't just "a part of life" - it’s manipulative at best, and at worst, it’s abuse. Sometimes, it even falls within the realm of rape; studies have documented that victims of sexual coercion can suffer from anxiety, depression, and PTSD at rates similar to to those who have experienced sexual violence." Jess: Tried to have sex with her, she said no, he kept going, she got out from under him, he screamed at her and made her cry.
I feel that Rory always ends up liking a guy after they're taken. Like she truly liked Dean after he was married. And she definitely regrets the decision of saying no to the proposal which is influenced by the fact that Logan's engaged. I feel that she never knew what she wanted. I hate the writers for this, but I guess they were showing that she really is growing up to be more and more like Lorelai. But I feel that none of them deserved this. Honestly I didn't like Dean that much, but I loved her relationship with Jess and Logan. I feel that neither of them deserved this.
What a total screw up this revival was.. esp as far as their relationship is concerned. It was such a great depiction in the show but they ended it with her saying no and him not waiting. And then went ahead and completely destroyed it in the revival. Total disappointment.
The guy is in love with rory and its obvious he waits for her to decide if she wants to be with him for real. It was her idea about vegas. And when she said no to his proposal 10 yeras ago, i understand why logan wouldnt ask her again or push the idea of being together again as a couple cause he diesnt see if she truely wants it too. So basically Rory uses Logan fir her comfort here and lets her. Which is so sad and problematic from Rorys side. And i think she also would manipulate and keep Jess close just in case. Im so mad with Rorys decisions regarding romantic relationships. She always manipulates or isnt honest for 100% or confused or lost. Its not fun anymore when shes 30. Pls Rorita, go to therapist!!!!
He can't stand up to his father about not marrying Oddette, but he's perfectly fine with CHEATING on her with Rory. Nice... none of this adds up to where we left off in the original series. Whether Amy wants to admit it or not, the 7th season DID happen. Rory turned down Logan so she could concentrate on her career, now she doesn't even have one. I am glad we got to see Luke and Lorelei get married (sort of and I loved the Richard thing), though
If this is how her future pans out from the S7 finale she should’ve just freakin said yes to Logan!! Sad that Lorelei’s years of toxicity around marriage (basically left max at the alter, impulsively married Chris, couldn’t marry Luke for A DECADE) clearly were passed on to Rory. That’s probably why she was too scared to say yes to Logan (she basically said no for the same reason Lorelai did to Chris at 16) When that probably was the best path for her
I juat finished watching this show. The way they wrote Logan makes no sense. He can't stay away from her just like when they were together in the original show but he's goinf to marry some other woman... Nope... And to just end it the way they did.. i am sorry but not every show needs to have a cliffhanger ending. Whetever happen to happy endings? I also fond it a little just weak that the whole point of the show was Roary was not her mother. She was some how a mixture between her mom and her grandparents taking the best of both sides. Then in this show she is her mother all over again and Logan who completely altered his life in the original show for Roary revert back to his childhood ways. Does that fit? Don't get me wrong I really loved all the Roary relationships but I actually felt like Logan and Roary were that couple that broke the family histories. They started out like Loiralie and Christopher but grewup to be some much stronger. Instead we get repeat history.
After the revival I don't ship them together anymore. I ship her with Jess now, yeah he wasn't a very good boyfriend at first but he has seemed to have changed for the better. Honestly for the short amount of time that he was in the revival he still managed to make sense of a difficult situation and somehow managed to make things better (now I just realised this but it's as if the roles have switched, because originally it was Rory helping and giving him advice lol)
Rory and Logan have great chemistry. I would say the best.. that's why they can't be apart.. But they are both really selfish. Rory has always used Jess.. he should get over her, he deserves best. She would only screw his mind more and more
Rory wouldn't marry him and move to San Francisco. She will however be his mistress and fly back and forth to London. Then ,she was going to be an overseas correspondent. Well she IS overseas, corresponding. I don't think it's exactly what she had envisioned. Is this one of Amy Sherman- Palladino's jokes? Logan squandered millions not wanting to work for his Father, yet here he is , doing exactly that. Yes, they are quite the pair. Pair of what , who knows?
This storyline was ridiculous. Rory constantly forgetting about her boyfriend who she wouldn't dump for his sake and Logan cheating was just way too annoying to watch.
Ok, so forget the fact that I'm pretty sure none of us wanted this ending, but come on! This is not Rory. She would never be doing something like this. I get that they wanted to get away from the goody-two-shoes thing a little, but this to me is just lazy writing. I don't understand this time-skip as an excuse to change a character dramatically thing that so many writers do. It's probably one of my biggest writing pet peeves. Unless you're some mad genius you can't get good character development without putting in some work. Sorry if this offends anyone, this is just what I think. I still absolutely love all the other seasons, it's just the revival that really didn't sit well with me.
Rory was certainly no saint in the original show. She cheated on Dean, slept with Dean when he was married to someone else, stole a yacht just because one person said she wasn't good enough, and went behind her mother's back to drop out of school and move in with her grandparents.
@@monat7385 She was no saint but no one is ; besides they were youth mistake. Rory wouldn't cheat for a second time she felt terrible. The palladinos ruined her character development (and Logan's)to do the end they wanted ten years ago knowing it didn't fit anymore for their egos.
Honestly Everybody blames Logan for Rory’s acting out. But in real life he just loved her to much to rain on her parade even when what she was doing was wrong. I think that Logan just would do anything for her and that’s why they are endgame
If Rory told Logan about his child then I just know he would drop everything and break up with his fiancé to be with Rory, even without the child if Rory said she want to marry him he would break off his current engagement and marry Rory. Team Logan!
People here really this pairing even if it's very bad, what's wrong with you people? Rory is literally the other woman AGAIN and got pregnant by that concept so tell me the silver lining here? Logan only brought out the worst of Rory as you can see by having her as his side piece and Rory looks happy about it??? If there's a sequel anywhere in the future I hope Jess doesn't end up with Rory since he's now way too good for her, he would never cheat! So disappointed in Rory's character...
I’m so annoyed with myself because I can’t decide whether I prefer jess or Logan.... I don’t really like dean with Rory, their relationship was just like a first love, almost like an experiment. I love Rory and Logan but I feel as though Rory tries to hard to impress/satisfy him. Jess on the other hand, I love his relationship with Rory. He seems so genuine and Rory can really be herself around him. I don’t know, I still love Rory and Logan but I’m slightly leaning more towards jess.
As a way of protecting herself from having to make a commitment. In some ways she saw her Mum have it all, a home, a business and a child. Rory is trying to have it all without the commitment.
I am all for Logan and Rory!.. Despite the cheating you can tell he still really loves her and vice versa. I don't think Lorelei really was condoning what happened, I think she's a mother who has been in that situation herself so she understood a bit more then most people would.. I'm happy that Lorelai ended up with Luke!.. I've been waiting years for that!.. I would also like to add that with the cheating thing and although I don't think it's right I do think Logan was just settling with his fiancee and the same thing with Rory and Paul.. Logan wanted to marry her years ago but Rory said no because she had things she wanted to do first.. Which is understandable at that age.. Now they are both grown adults (and things don't always go as planned.. Life has many paths and you're lucky if you run a different path with the same person sometimes especially one you loved) I'm sure if he asked again she would say yes despite the baby.. There was an episode in the Revival where Rory called him and it was late and on first ring he picked up without hesitation.. Not many guys would do that unless they truly love the other person.. Furthermore Lorelai and Rory's lives may mirror each other a little they're not the same!..Lorelai and Luke always wanted better for her.. She's not sixteen like Lorelei was!.. I think Rory is afraid that if she tells Logan about the baby he will do as her father did ( hence her visit to see Christopher at his office)..But I'm sure he won't when he finds out because he truly loves her.. Christopher felt obligated to marry Lorelai only because of their parents and social standing.. I do think if there is another chance at a Revival continuation Rory will end up with Logan because the way they ended it is kind of a cliffhanger.. I think they were just testing the waters to see how well it would do and people still enjoyed it..
In entertainment weekly mag Amy Sherman palladino confirmed that Logan is Rory's Christopher! She said we date guys like our father and he is her Christopher and there relationship is similar to lorelai and Chris.. Sorry.. team Jess is endgame!! :)
Zoey M but that's what counts for. Ute these days. Doesn't matter that Rory becomes an asshole around Logan, it also doesn't matter that Logan is cheating on his fiancée because it's only with Rory and they have History.... (Sarcasm might be applied)
I do not like this. I loved Rory in the very 1st season of GG. Introverted, sensible, down to earth, ambitious, socially awkward, weird chunky sweaters deep voice Rory. That Rory reminded me of myself. Then the character became extremely annoying very fast, just around the time she met Jess. It all went downhill from there. Didn't recognise this entitled, spoiled beyond belief, girly posh vapid squeaky mousy Rory. She sounded like a rubber duck most of the time. Now she kinda fixed her voice. So she has a thirst for married/taken men. Why? Logan is perfect for her, he's smart, sweet and loving, not to mention crazy rich and attractive, but she's waiting for someone better???? In the meantime she's still sleeping with him? I guess she felt like rejecting his proposal as payback for what his family put her through? She's petty and extremely vain too. She's f$&@ her life up, she's no well respected journalist, she's no writer, she's not married, she's just wandering around like an idiot, aimless and vapid. Not at all the original Rory, the driven ambitious and sensible Rory we all rooted for. They destroyed this character. I wonder why.
When I saw these two together the way they were, my first thought was “Logan, I hope that fiancée of yours is also sleeping around without your knowledge.” Lol. Then later when I saw that Jess was still in love with Rory, I was like “Noooo!!! She doesn’t know how to be faithful or honest but will probably lose it if you’re dishonest with her on such a tiny spectrum compared to her!” I hate Rory. Lol.
I used to like Rory, but not I don't. She cheated on most of her boyfriend's (2 of them were engaged/married) and tries to justify it by saying "but we love each other". The sad thing is, the wives of them didn't deserve it. Lindsay was sweet and tried to resolve the conflict between Dean and her, yet he'd brush it off and become angry at her. At least they're happily married now?
Everytime i rewatch this i can never be mad at rory i mean life isnt perfect and one day she'll relize that she needs to slow down i mean think about it if rory was faithful and was caushious about the decision she makes do you not think they wouldnt cheat on her i mean i watched all the seasons and every girl would either throw their self at you at anytime even if the were married or taken they wouldnt care.
this looks like the perfect picture only it isn’t she’s his mistress , did she not learn from dean ? Like c’mon Rory this would’ve been you but as his wife and maybe you’d have kids too but no you said no then again Logan messed up with the whole all or nothing but still she shouldn’t be making the same mistress mistake
I dont get them if they really love each other so much why arent they together if he really loves rory why is he getting married to another girl how can rory fall into the same horrible position again and it’s even worse but ofc she didnt regret the first time when it was dean 😒 a year in the life completely ruined rory in every way
Someone should asked Alexis bledel to go back and watch at least 10 Gilmore girls. Rory was not in this reunion, Alexis was doing Alexis not Rory. Yeah Rory is older and we all change a little with times, but the way she delivered her lines was an insult to the character Rory. Rory's mannerism were not existing anywhere. She ruined it. I guess she just wanted a check. Just my opinion.
Why oh why is this happening? Logan just could not let Rory have some self discovery after graduation. Rory could not commit to Logan at any point. Then years later they are sneaking around having an affair while he has a fiancé (and her a boyfriend?). The only sense to make of it is Logan has finally given into status since his french heiress finance will forward his family goals. And Rory has no self respect. This is such a toxic relationship lol.
I NEED A NEW SERIES OR JUST 1 EPISODE OR A MOVIE!!! I NEED RORY TO TELL LOGAN SHE'S PREGNANT, I NEED THEM TO GET MARRIED AND NOT HAVE THE EXACT SAME CYCLE AS LORELAI WITH LUKE WAITING WAITING WAITING WHILE THEY KNOW THEY'RE PERFECT FOR EACH OTHER AND MENT TO BE!!!! I NEED TO SEE THE SECOND INN, SOOKIE BACK IN THE KITCHEN, I NEED RORY'S BOOK TO BECOME A BESTSELLER!! I NEED AN OFFICIAL NOTIFICATION SEASON 2 IS COMING!! sorry I'm screaming I'm just so not ok with this long long long long wait!!!!
This year in a life thing was so disappointing. Rory was NOTHING like the go getter that we used to know and she would never be supportive of a man cheating on his girlfriend with her.
I think it's not okay they always blame it on the guys, I mean Rory can make her own decisions too! I wasn't very thrilled with what Rory's character became in this revival 😭
I never understood why Rory liked being "the other woman. "
Attachment issues stemming from an absent father and a mother who never had a real relationship until Rory was halfway through high school
@@blueyes6474 um I'm sorry she never had a real relationship with her mother until halfway through high school? Did you...did you watch the show?
Priya her mother, the reigning lorelie, never had a real relationship with a man until Rory was halfway through high school. So she never has an example of a healthy relationship until high school. Yes I’ve watched the show several times over the last 20 years.
@@blueyes6474 sorry thought you meant a real relationship with Rory, was confused since that was like the plot of the show. Still, don't think it's fair to blame it all on Lorelai; even if she wasn't great at relationships, I don't ever recall her cheating.
She never like being the other woman but she loved Logan
Really am sorry if i hurt anyones feelings by saying this.. but i am a die hard gilmore girls fan and the 'year in the life' practically almost ruined the show completely for me. Honestly super upset about it and almost wish I can erase it from my memory. idk if anyone else feels the same
Yes , I agree I stopped on the first episode because it was so bad. Its probably because the had a new director for it and he made the show so bad.
Me too.
As for me, Gilmore Girls stopped at the last episode of season 6, when we see Rory saying goodbye to Logan indefinitly. I like to think they would get together someday afterwards, but not like this 🙁
Passe -Partout Agreed.
Sarah Khan 100% agree. Couldn’t stand any of the storylines except the one between Emily and Lorelai
Romana 22 then it's bad writing from them and we got screwed in the process... #loganandroryalways
Romana 22 I don't think loan is the type to let her be a single mom if it's his. he wouldn't back out. if he's the father then it isn't the end for them
Joanne Mcveigh Sthankyou sooo much for spoiling a year in the life for me
Logan was my favorite from when she met him
Me too
Right everyone else was just wrong for her, I liked Dean at first but ended up liking Logan so much more 😂
Naomi Sugar_Skulls me to
Logan is my favorite they have been together for so long if you watched this whole thing you would know I hate that they break up
She was best with Jess
Rory started off sleeping with married dean, not she is sleeping with an engaged Logan. Rory makes Lorelei look virginal.
She also had a boyfriend yet I still ship Logan and Rory
@@fati6269haha I think that's what they want us to think
I was hoping they will have a happy ending and not end up like Lorelai and Christopher but it's seems like history repeat itself
Logan already proposed to her and wanted to marry her, so I'm sure if he finds out that she's pregnant that is if Logan is the Father, I'm sure again Logan will ask Rory to marry him and the question now, is Rory willing to accept Logan proposal for the 2nd time
rjonahlyn
I wish, but my luck with straight couples is horrible and ASP seems to dislike Logan and his relationship with Rory.
“Logan, you are the father” THIS IS WHY WE NEED NEW EPISODES
The father is the wookie lolololololllll
Rory always had the most chemistry with Logan. Rory never hated the "wealthy" life style like her mother did. Logan understood her and intellectually, they were on the same level. Tristan was personally my favorite and really wished that story line could have been followed at some point.
Me too
@@MetsnVettes lol no, don't disrespect Logan like that
Tristan was an idiot
They would’ve but Chad Michael Murray left to be on One Tree Hill 🥺
I was with you til that last sentence chile…
logan isn't the kind of guy to not be there for a pregnant rory, whatever happens, I still believe they are endgame
Scarlet123 I agree, if the baby is his, and I'm at least 98% sure that is his, he would do everything in his power to be there for rory and the baby
I mean, he did drop everything when Richard have his heart attack to be there for rory, even when he was in a personal crisis
Aldana Páez maybe it's Paul's 😂 (ignore me)
Lol.
MexicanJL970
Logan isn’t that honorable.
The scenes with Alex Kingston ✂️
the scenes with all the different chef's ✂️
The scenes with the (kill me now) musical and Kurt ,✂️ .
The scenes with Paris , going on about the stairs, ✂️.
The crap scenes with Lane (seems like she was just an after thought, oh we forgot the Asian girl!)she was hardly in it and it was so badly written. ✂️.
The scenes where she goes for the job interview ✂️
Was it not Rory who went went back to her internship and begged for a job and waited and wore the editor down.
So this character is not Rory.
Did she or did she not get a job on the Obama campaign as press etc
So not even Rory.
@@comreality Finally someone who really saw the show.. the people in the coments don't see that rory is not that inocent, just make people see her that way..
Thats exactly who she is haha a terrible character
@@comreality Jess pursued her, he constantly flirted with her when she had a boyfriend. And also it takes two to commit an affair, Dean chose to cheat on his wife with her. It isn’t only her fault. And Logan shouldn’t cheat on his fiancée
I used to ship Jess and Rory but he's better off without her. She'd just cheat on him. Also? Logan is completely taking away his fiancee's ability to choose someone better and lead her own life, by not being honest with her. They're both awful.
Yep.
I feel like Rory is just following in the footsteps of her Mom Loreali when her mom was younger
jenny e:I just guessed since she ended up pregnant like her mom
jenny e:Ik that’s why I also said I think she’s following in her mom’s footsteps
I always wanted Jess and Rory to be together but now I see that RORY DOESN'T DESERVE JESS.
Isabel Fuh I TOTALLY AGREE WITH LOGAN. And DEAN actually got married to Lindsey when he was 19.
and how can logan do this to his fiancee? Doesn't he have any love or respect for her or what? Poor girl.
ihatetaft no they just love each other...
they should marry then

Yea it is amazing acting. The way they made the character so incredibly irresistable while being terrible is a work of wonder.
@@peterisawesomeplease Agreed
I hate how people think Logan is rorys Christopher because he's just so much more that Christopher
sherlock holmes !!
Aldana Páez
Logan parallels Christopher in the sense that him and Rory love each other but they aren’t the right fit.
Well Amy, the creator of the show, has confirmed in an interview that he is supposed to be her Christopher.
Thank you for posting these! I love this relationship.
I LOVE Rory and Logan together they are just the perfect cuple i hope they do a season two amd they get married
the worst quality of rory's character is that she always followed her heart (which is not usually a bad thing) and didn't care who she hurt. when she was with dean she fell for jess, this is understandable for a 17-year-old, but what's bad is she didn't break up with dean for a long time knowing full well she wanted someone else. in fact he broke up with her.
and then she again wanted to be with dean even though he was married but she could care less about Lindsay!
then with logan, she was pissed at him for sleeping around and wanted to get revenge so she kissed jess who she knew was still in love with her.
in the revival as well, she sleeps with logan bc she loves him but she could care less about her boyfriend or logan's fiancee as long as rory gets what rory wants.
the first three cheating I understand somewhat because she was young but in the revival she is on an another level. and her actions after of all these instances are terrible.
Rory loves logan and when Rory said she is preanet we all know its logans baby
Well for sure it's not Paul's 😂😅
Rory did not grow one bit.
This is exactly how the story was always going to turn out.
Can't agree more
agreed!
The character went downhill for me after she hooked up with him.
The entire point of the show was to show how privilege can make people likeable despite being horrible. Rory never really had integrity. She was extremely likeable just like Logan is extremely likeable despite both being rather deplorable people. But that is the whole point.
In here I found Logan (Matt Czuchry) particularly good-looking!! 💙
The man ages like fine wine!
My thoughts exacly!
thestaceofspade they maybe want to put Rory and Logan in the same situation that Lorelai and Christopher but with a different result: if Logan is the father I'm sure he is going to marry her.
Kristin Molina
I thought Jess and Rory had the best chemistry.
Cheating and helping someone cheat is never okay. Nothing justifies it and only selfish people do it.
I love Rogan so much:') They gotta be endgame....
Logan and Rory forever!!!!!!!!!!!!
Rory fell in love so many times but was never able to get married. She had a fear of marraige due to her mother. I'm surprised rory never picked up a book to learn about it. It's honestly better to try having a marraige than cheating around with married people. It's people like her that ruin marraiges just make up your damn mind
joseph stalin Like Joey from Friends says, “there are few things you don’t get from book learnin’” 🤣🤣
Do you know what other thing ruin marriages ? Guys that cheat on their wifes
Ummm no. #TeamJess but tbh Jess deserves better than her...
I think he might be doing this to spite her. He was obviously really hurt over Rory turning down his proposal
Interesting theory!
I like Rory and Logan together but not like this. They need a real relationship not just as Logan's side piece
Well rory messed up
Team Logan all the way,... ALL THE WAY!
Araynna Holland Agree completely. Rory's boyfriend and Logan's fiancée have a right to happiness too. They deserve a soul mate just as much.
Hahaha omg I thought I was the only one who wanted it to be Chewbacca guy 🤣😂👍
Her dad didn’t miss out on raising her he actively chose not to
'Pillow' is a metaphor for comfort zone
Logan and Rory forever! ❤️
How someone so talented ended up being just that.
iLove PaulWesley
I hate when people romanticize cheating.

I agree that she was old enough to make her own decisions.

Rape: The crime of rape generally refers to non-consensual sexual intercourse that is committed by physical force, threat of injury, or other duress.
Sometimes, it even falls within the realm of rape; studies have documented that victims of sexual coercion can suffer from anxiety, depression, and PTSD at rates similar to to those who have experienced sexual violence."
Jess: Tried to have sex with her, she said no, he kept going, she got out from under him, he screamed at her and made her cry.
She is used to be so mature when she was a teenager
I hope they make more episodes/series🙏🏻
🐖🎩🌂☂️✨
The show is vastly more interesting if you discount the 7th season. The 7th season missed the entire theme of the show.
Just go get married already!!!
well Logan will soon
I prefer to think that he ends things with Odotte and Marries Rory instead.
The revival worst thing ever I wanted them to be together not having some affair they go so well together
i wish rory and logan got married
Rory's so stressed out and confused throughout the whole movie
Alex Kingston was one of the few redeeming qualities of this reboot. I wanted to see more of her!
Rory was talking to Logan while on the phone with this diva Naomi
Pair of what , who knows?
team logan they deserve betterrrrrr
I cant with this situation. They should be toguether
This storyline was ridiculous. Rory constantly forgetting about her boyfriend who she wouldn't dump for his sake and Logan cheating was just way too annoying to watch.
They should just be together. Rather than dancing around the issue.
I think that Logan just would do anything for her and that’s why they are endgame
logan doesn’t look like he’s aged at all ... characters like zach on the other hand look abt twenty years older
I hope they make more seasonal episodes.
Matt Czuchry (Logan) is probably the only one that aged well
Because they made a year in a life the ending so so bad if they won’t make more I will 100% cry why?????😭😭😭
logan and rory belong together enough said ...
More like they deserve each other... both stubbornly childish.
lizziestrasse the creators are both stubbornly childish refusing to watch season 7 hence we got this mess of a revival.Logan and Rory all the way!
I will always think her and Jess are meant to be
yeah they're both terrible people
@@egoy50I totally agree with you. It was very childish on the writers part not to watch season 7.
They need to bring this back
I’m so annoyed with myself because I can’t decide whether I prefer jess or Logan....
She did the same thing with Dean. What's up with her and married guys.
but Lorelai ended up with LUKE, who is similar to JESS!!
Tvfan10 Jess is too good for Rory, Lorelai never cheated on anyone. Once a cheater, always a cheater. Rory would just break Jess' heart.
God they're cute, just perfect together
Wichi Woo give Naomi her spin off
I don’t see how. They are both avoiding reality and cheating on their significant others.
Zoey M but that's what counts for. Ute these days. Doesn't matter that Rory becomes an asshole around Logan, it also doesn't matter that Logan is cheating on his fiancée because it's only with Rory and they have History.... (Sarcasm might be applied)
They both like to cheat. The have the same morals
Mine tooo I loved logan
I never understand y she didnt end up with him she should of broke the cycle instead of being like her mother
He sounds the same but her voice changed A LOT! Just an observation.
I just found out Rory and Logan's daughter's name was going to be Lola.
Everyone just wants to project the perfect college couple. This is what happens if you never let go of the perfect college couple. 😢
Nunca entenderé xq no dicen nada. Ella no quiere q se case y él quiere q ella le pida q no se case.
YEAH MY OTP IS BACK
Why oh why is this happening? Logan just could not let Rory have some self discovery after graduation. Rory could not commit to Logan at any point. Then years later they are sneaking around having an affair while he has a fiancé (and her a boyfriend?). The only sense to make of it is Logan has finally given into status since his french heiress finance will forward his family goals. And Rory has no self respect. This is such a toxic relationship lol.
Logan is my favorite. He was perfect for her. She should have married him.
Winston Churchill decided that the suffering of Bengali's didn't matter.
I NEED AN OFFICIAL NOTIFICATION SEASON 2 IS COMING!!
sorry I'm screaming I'm just so not ok with this long long long long wait!!!!
i wanted jess and rory to have cute little kids and get married 1:27
Fr but I love Rory and Logan
This year in a life thing was so disappointing. Rory was NOTHING like the go getter that we used to know and she would never be supportive of a man cheating on his girlfriend with her.
I think it's not okay they always blame it on the guys, I mean Rory can make her own decisions too! I wasn't very thrilled with what Rory's character became in this revival 😭
