@@thewordsmith5440 that bugged me first too, but honestly, that’s realistic AF, because sometimes problems don’t resolve themself and sometimes a difficult relationship stays difficult. I loved these characters so much too. Kirk is one of my favorites. I noticed that they changed his name after he went to try to hook up Rory’s computer internet. So Many Jobs.
I think that when they decided to give Rory a similar life to Lorelei they made the wrong move. Lorelei is charming because she struggled under the oppression of her parents and made her own way in the world. Rory was given freedom and a golden spoon, so when she took her opportunities for granted and literally did nothing, messed with taken men and then got pregnant… it’s not the same. It just made her unlikable when she started off SO likable.
Such a good point. You'd think the storyline would have been more of a moral about how oppression and control drives families apart and how much better things turn out when your parent is a supportive and positive role in your life. It was so disappointing to see what they did to my favourite mother/daughter team.
This has been my favorite show for many years and I can’t see that ever changing. It’s one of the only shows I can watch over and over again and never get tired of it. That being said, here’s my unpopular opinion: the reunion was worse than season 7. The worst ending you could ever put on a show like that.
yeah, i wasn't thrilled with a lot of what the 'seasons' contained. if i remember correctly, they wasted an entire episode on logan 🙄 🤮 (i'd like to forget he ever even existed) and his friends in a ridiculous musical number(s.) and i don't know what was going on with melissa mccarthy, if she really had very little time, but we got one scene of sookie total?! completely unrealistic, and it was just she and lorelai in the inn's kitchen. it looked and felt like it was filmed after everything else and it was totally disjointed, like they just threw it in. it would be nice if an eventual follow up contained lots of sookie and jess and lane ❤
I tend to agree, but for different reasons. Stars Hollow was always a witty place to be, but in Seasons it appeared scripted, instead of natural like the series. I questioned the point of the two different musicals, we could have done without those. I would have loved to see Rory more grounded, and even finally settling down with the true love of her life (whomever that would have been) instead of being thoughtless and shallow with Paul. So much more could have been done.
I don't think that's the unpopular opinion. Lol I've rarely heard of anyone that actually liked the reunion, but plenty of people liked season 7 just as well as any other season. I was disappointed Rory said no to Logan, but my how that was increased when you find out she's sleeping around with him. Barf. I still love the original show though. It's comforting, if I just need some background tv I almost always choose Gilmore Girls.
@@arayahmariah Melissa had issues on the show originally is my understanding so she probably didn't want to come back of her own accord. I agree though, I wanted more of Lane and Jess too. The general gist of the reunion was disappointing.Lorelai back in the same boat with Luke. Rory is a ho with little direction. Part of growing up is recognizing when you're bad at something. She was not good at being a reporter. She was good at writing. I did enjoy the cumulative effect of that but that was the only good thing about her character in the end. I honestly don't care for Amy Palladino. I know it's weird...she is the reason it all started but I think she got in the shows way many times. Season 7 was as good as any other season, in some ways it was actually better. It definitely was leaps and bounds above the reunion. One of the best characters in the reunion was Emily and she's supposed to be unlikable overall. Lol
I don't think there has EVER been a better actor on television than Lauren Graham. Especially in those first two seasons when she and Alexis Bledel (who is also fantastic and under-rated) were in almost every scene. Lauren Graham could play sexy, sweet, witty, cute, spunky, sassy, and could be a warm friend to Sookie one moment, then an adorable "brat" that Rory looks after, and then turn around and be the responsible Mom. She could play the competent, formidable manager of an inn and yet tease Mishel like a schoolgirl. She could be a hopeless romantic and play the young woman looking for love, and then act all sexy and confident. The RANGE she displayed will never be topped. And yet she received barely any accolades in our misogynistic world. Actors typecast as mob bosses or drug dealers or edgy cops etc will always win the awards or the accolades. But Lauren Graham gave us the best performance ever in a television show. Not to mention she's an absolute knockout!! She and Alexis Bledel MADE the show. And yet all the fans gush over the stupid boys...
I watch this show on a loop and the things Lauren Graham was able to do with those scripts… my god, an absolute legend of an actress. And she never lost us. Never. Always very likeable even when being a total brat. I completely agree.
I don't care about the boys, all of them were annoying and immature. I love the characters of Lane, Luke and Loreley. Alexis is a great actress, but I absolutely hate Rory. And Emily and Richard, sometimes I hate them, sometimes I love them :))
Luke and Lorelai's "will they, won't they arc" was so well done. The ONLY time I've not hated the wait for the couple to finally get their act together and get together!!
I agree, I loved the Gilmore girls just not the second part. Don’t agree with this hate for Rory. All rich people aren’t ass holes because they want to help their children. They over did it with Lorelei’s parents( the silly stereotype- loved them anyway ), I was frustrated fir them through the whole series. Lorelei could be ridiculously stubborn. People don’t have to apologize for being rich. Who wouldn’t want to help their children if they could. It isn’t the money that makes a brat- it’s the teacher ( parents, if immature). Wish they would bring back Rory having a daughter with same goals as she had and same age. Rory’s friends from town and college with their children about the same age. Same story we all loved but the next generation. Lorelei and Luke as grandparents ( Lorelei getting a taste of her own because of her horrible attitude toward her mother , with flashbacks of her mother and father practically begging to help her and receive some time with them… it could be so good. Please don’t shut it down ! Loved it.
Honestly, call me crazy but I really just want Rory to end up with Logan. I’ve already written like 3 different ways they could get back together 😅. (And yes, I know he was engaged but my plots all have solutions to that 😂)
Gilmore Girls is like comfort food. It’s one of my all time favorite shows. I never have to skip any episodes or stop in the middle and start over like with other shows **cough** Grey’s Anatomy **cough** *cough**
I hated the ending of the Gilmore Girls a year in a life! It was like Rory was a totally different person! There is no way that the Rory from the original series would have ended up pregnant!
@@jamiedefrancisco9177 I agree with this, but Rory had changed so much that it's not outside the realm of possibility that this would happen. I see what you're saying but none of us are the same people we were even in a year to the next.
I’m kind of not surprised. I’m Asian and my look has never really changed. I’m 36 and look the same as I did when I was 16. Although I wouldn’t be able to pass for a 16 year old 😂 but people regularly think I’m in my 20s.
Don’t know where I’ve been, but I only found Gilmore Girls in Sept 2024, and it’s great that all 7 series are available, but it’s so addictive I’ve been watching up to 15 episodes a day. Love it

How is anything in that show family oriented? There is heavy drama like every episode, cheating, and plenty of cursing. Have you not watched the show at all?

My mom watched it when I was a baby and we rewatched it together a few months ago. This will be a memory I will keep forever :). I hope you are fine, I'm really sorry for your loss! :( I can't imagine how hard that must be
Same! … but it was with my grandmother. I’d lay out on her bedroom floor browsing through all her shopping catalogs and watching. My grandmother was not a talker, at all, so we watched mostly in silence but it was memorable.
I found Gilmore girls at age 75, and I want more! It’s that angst when you know you can’t have more but you want it anyway. My 30-something granddaughter got me hooked, and then I binged on my husband’s poker nights and every other chance I got. I even got him to watch a little! Gilmore girls is a classic.
The story is still not finished. Who is the father of Rory’s baby… so many unanswered questions. Does Logan get married? Does Jess come back into Rory’s life. This is literally the best show ever!! It’s my comfort show, I always watch it when I feel sad, lonely, happy, excited! Just everything! However I REALLY need another thing after a year in the life because that was not the perfect ending
This show is EVERYTHING! I started watching in middle school/high school with my mom. Everyone in our small town always called us the Gilmore Girls. My now 5 year old is named after a character of the show and is obsessed with it like my mom and I were. Iconic and will never get old!! Thank you for such a wonderful show that everyone can somehow relate to!
Glimore Girls. Perfection. I have watched the repeats over and over... and never tire of them. What a wonderful cast, wonderful acting, wonderful storyline... and kept a G-rating. That tells you something. Bring it back.. YES... bring it back.
Rose Williams from the period drama Sanditon really favors her. Like literally young her while she was on GG that's who I thought it was when I first watched it or at least her sister lol
This is the one and only show I will re-watch over and over again. It’s a fast train ticket to my heart, to find comfort, to find peace within myself. ❤
I come back to this show when I am down or my life gets complicated. At 73 yo I still relate to the small town. I wish many times I was still there. Thank you for the Gilmore Girls and Stars Hallow.
I started binge watching Gilmore girls about two months ago, and I am hooked! I am on season four and I am so in love with every character in the show but one of my absolute favorites is Richard Gilmore. He’s such a legend, and plays his character so well. It’s so sad he wasn’t able to make it to the reunion due to his untimely death. Long live Stars Hallow! 🌟💕
Gilmore Girls it's been part of my life since I was 10 years old, I'm now 32 and I'm so grateful for the revival, however I'm still waiting for the continuation, I'll settle for a graphic novel at this point lol :(
Aw we are the same age. I even remember back in 2000 when E entertainment did this news report asking if GG should continue because moms were complaining that it promoted and romanticized teenage motherhood.
Same except 31. Cant believe I first watched as a kid and would have to wait a whole week for the next episode, record it on VCR so that I didnt miss it, and no binge watching then too.
I’ve been watching this show every year at the start of Fall since the 4th grade, I’m 29 now. It is my ultimate comfort show. And as I get older my favorite character keeps changing. 🥰
I lost my big bro when I was 14 and he was 20. I know how you feel. Just know Jesus is there everyday in the trenches with you. You will be amazed one day to see you were never alone. God bless you 🤍
I adore how wholesome and sweet this series is. It’s funny and cute and so lighthearted and easy to watch and re-watch. I wish there were more shows like it. I’ve always loved it ❤
Just recently watched Gilmore Girls for the first time at 40 years of age! I can’t believe what I had been missing. I will rewatch it…. A lot! It’s special and you feel like you belong with the characters. Loved it
I was 5 when this show came out, I found it about 2 years ago, I am now 21. I will watch this show with my kids, gilmore girls will never be forgotten 💕
I'd be lying if I said I didn't cry whilst watching this, especially when they mentioned the great Edward Herrmann's passing. I loved Richard as a character ao much ❤️ I used to watch Gilmore Girls literally every single night as I fell asleep on DVD from the 9th grade onwards. (I was still in High School when Gilmore Girls was on TV, but Australia wasn't as lucky in receiving it unless you had cable). Growing up as a teen with a myriad of chronic illnesses with bi-monthly 10 day+ hospital admissions, the most vital of items in my hospital bag were always my laptop and my Gilmore Girls DVDs (as well as Scrubs and Grey's Anatomy before the plot points got a little too crazy) and it kept me sane. Gilmore Girls was the biggest blessing I could have asked for. It didn't matter how much pain had been inflicted during the day or if I couldn't sleep - I'd slip on my headphones and be transported out of my miserable hospital bed and into the most magical world of Stars Hollow with their delightfully colour and zany cast of characters. Gilmore Girls pulled me through some of the darkest and most difficult periods of my life, and I'm so grateful to the amazing cast and crew ❤️ here's hoping there's an incredible spin off in the future so they can get a re-do of the final season that they all deserve!
After I had my son in the fall of 2004, my sister in law let me borrow her 3rd season of GG and I watched it and fell in love. I had PPD and this helped me get through it. Love this show.
this show is the reason why my brother and i are so close, i watch it every fall. my boyfriend watched the whole series through before we even started dating because he knew how much i love this show. it’s my comfort show, they’re my comfort characters. they’re the reason why i am who i am today.
As someone who's recently finished the series and the spin off this show truly is the most comforting show that I have ever seen every single character has brought a smile to my face especially Lorelai
The only thing I hated about Gilmore Girls….is that it ended. Thank goodness for reruns. My daughter and I have watched every episode multiple times throughout the years.
I’ve watched this show almost every year since it’s season 7 finale. We need a great show like this today, something to make us remember the great things.
although not ideal, i think the ending is fairly realistic, things in life happen, we sometimes don't get what we initially aspire to have. not every academically achieved people make it big outside school. success in the conventional/superficial and glamorous way isn't the only success there is. i think rory would just be fine. i love this show so much, it is a big warm embrace and a reminder of how fulfilling slow life can be.
My favorite show! I moved from Chicago, IL to Woodbury, CT (Stars Hollow’s rival) in 2017. It truly is as incredible here as the show depicts. It’s so charming! I feel like I’m living in a movie sometimes. My first week here a strange woman stopped me in the grocery store and exclaimed that she knew me. I said she couldn’t know me…I just moved here from out of state. She explains how she is friends with my boyfriend and recognized me from his Facebook posts. Everyone REALLY does know everyone!
This show has always been healing for me. I've been watching it on repeat since I came across it on Netflix. It was my deceased mom's favorite show, and watching it makes me feel like I'm living vicariously through Rory and Loralai's BFF's before mom and daughter relationship that I felt I could've had with my mom if she hadn't passed away. I hold this show so near and dear in my heart! beyond thankful for its existence! Anyone else feel the same? :)
The world has become such a hard place, that Gilmore Girls softens it! Its a safe place to be in. I have re-watch it uncountable times, and I plan to keep re-watching it some more!
Gilmore Girls is and will always be one of my favourite comfort shows and I actually don't mind season 7. I think that last episode with the final shot mirroring the final shot from the very first episode was the perfect ending to the show. Having all of the townspeople throwing a big going away party for Rory was the perfect way for her to start her new life. A Year in the Life, however, was completely disappointing and not well done at all.
I love that Lauren talks about Lorelai and says "she never really blamed anyone," when literal words Lorelai says to a therapist are "I love that this is just another thing I can blame my mother for" hahaha 😭
Her parents WERE awful to her. Coming from a family similar to them, the way they both insulted Lorelai and didn't support her was painful to me. No amount of money or material stuff can offset the harm they did to her. Then, she went to the opposite extreme with Rory.
@@beannamateddoes the show ever give any in-depth insight on her upbringing? I’m currently watching and I’m early in the Yale arc but if I’m going based on what I’ve seen so far, there really isn’t enough evidence to even support the claim that they were bad to her in youth. For all we know Lor could’ve always been a “problem child” and the parts of Richard and Emily that we do see is a result of that. Or, there’s a possibility that she’s exaggerating the ills of her youth. What people fail to acknowledge imo is that you don’t get the parenting thing correct and no two kids may never get the same version of you but what Lorelei did is a lot more harmful that people are willing to admit
I was thinking the same thing. 😂 Watching this on television when it came out, I identified with Lorelei 100%. Binging it in my 50s, having raised my own daughter into adulthood, I found myself feeling a lot of compassion for Emily. She was horrible in so many ways, but if I've learned anything from raising a daughter into adulthood, coming from my background and knowing things I didn't know before, understanding things, I found myself getting really irritated by Lorelei a lot. As in I had to stop watching for a couple of weeks because I was literally angry with Lorelei so many times. As a mother and as a child, there were just things she did that irritated me that I never noticed the first time. So yeah, I had to laugh when she said that Lorelei never blamed anybody.
Once in a blue moon the stars and the planets line up and an incredible show is made. Before The Gilmore Girls,... it was Northern Exposure. Gilmore Girls is absolutely timeless and Amy Paladino was a genius. Who did not want to live in Stars Hollow? The ensemble cast was perfection. Talent,.. brilliant script, setting, storyline,... not relying on insane laugh tracks, and keeping the G-rating. If Amy were to be at the helm again, ... don't fix it if it ain't broken... and bring it back to life again... they'd easily have another 7 seasons.
I watched this over and over. My kids now think that they will give me the CD as a birthday gift. There is something about this show it makes me happy to watch again. It never bored me.
I thought this was new and they were announcing that it was coming back 😭😭😭 Also, I might be the only person that is team Marty, but I really think he brought out the best in Rory. She was the most selfless with him as a largely selfish character.
@@endlesssummer2133 she wasn't into Dean or Jess either at the end, but people still ship them. And Logan was utter trash in the end. That's just my opinion on a fictional character though, nothing more. If she ended up with Marty I'd be happy 😅
@@judyseba5614TLDR: Rory needs someone to push her out of her comfort zone and Marty doesn’t seem to be the type of guy to do that because they’re so similar to each other. Rory needs someone who pushes her to do things she never would do before and have a different point of view about a situation differently than her. Maybe not someone who is the polar opposite of her but just someone who pushes her out of her comfort zone to try something new. Marty is very similar to her, that’s why they are better suited as friends because he is not the type of person who would push her to do something new like Logan, he convinced her to jump with him and she had a blast afterwards even though she was scared to do it and think she wouldn’t have like it. And Jess, who gives a speech about how she should go back to Yale and she immediately went back to Yale and I think the yelling that he gave helped her to get up and go back to school. That’s why she needed someone who have a different pov than her because she never would’ve done something that’s actually good for her because everyone seems to agree with her opinion and Jess calls out her bullshit because he actually cares. As for Marty, he seems like he would do everything that Rory says and just agrees with her, maybe because they have very similar views or something and that is really not what Rory needs. Like with Dean, he never pushes her out of her comfort zone to try something new and she got tired of him pretty quickly. And also Marty is a very weird guy who doesn’t deserve Rory. He literally flirted with her on his girlfriend’s birthday party?? Never understand how he’s a “good guy” for Rory and he for sure have the mindset of incels who thinks “nice guys always finish last”. I also never understand the concept of giving someone a chance or go on a date with someone that you don’t even like. It just feels like you pity that person so bad that you’re going on a date with them just for the sake of it rather than trying to like them before going on a date with them. Sorry this is too long I just don’t know how people like Marty even after season 7
I constantly rewatch all 7 seasons over and although I didn’t really like how A Year in the Life ended, I re-watch that over again as well whenever I do. They need to make another one cause at the end of Gilmore girls the year in the life Rory announced to her mom that she was pregnant & they never followed up afterwards
I actually think it’s perfect. Loralei spent Rory’s whole life ensuring she would get through school and have all the opportunities she missed by getting pregnant. Rory ends up pregnant and back in the small town. All be it older. It’s very full circle.

I couldn’t have said it better
Preach. Lauren was perfect as Lorelai.
I watch this show on a loop and the things Lauren Graham was able to do with those scripts… my god, an absolute legend of an actress. And she never lost us. Never. Always very likeable even when being a total brat. I completely agree.
Google redundancy.
To say the show affected my life is an understatement. Stars Hollow is a state of mind!
It’s a lifestyle
Absolutely!!!
“Stars hollow is a state of mind” would make a great t shirt slogan
Gilmore Girls braucht ein eigens Diagnose Kriterium 😂❤
Would love Netflix to keep this show going. We need this.
its not a want, its a NEED.
The reboot was fun, at times, but let's be real -- "you've given me everything I need" was a far better ending than "I'm pregnant."
I hated the ending of the Gilmore Girls a year in a life! It was like Rory was a totally different person! There is no way that the Rory from the original series would have ended up pregnant!
Well, she was having sex. I wouldn't say no way..
@@jamiedefrancisco9177even with all the best laid plans, you can still get pregnant.
@@jamiedefrancisco9177 I agree with this, but Rory had changed so much that it's not outside the realm of possibility that this would happen. I see what you're saying but none of us are the same people we were even in a year to the next.
The reboot was terrible...I would of like to see rory marry logan
How does keiko agena literally look the same 😭😭 she has aged so beautifully
Thats what im saying!!
Look up the image for "the average asian aging process". It's funny but accurate.
She was 27 in real life when the show started - that's only 6 years younger than Lauren Graham!!
I’m kind of not surprised. I’m Asian and my look has never really changed. I’m 36 and look the same as I did when I was 16. Although I wouldn’t be able to pass for a 16 year old 😂 but people regularly think I’m in my 20s.
It’s insane how she was playing a 16 year old at 27
Don’t know where I’ve been, but I only found Gilmore Girls in Sept 2024, and it’s great that all 7 series are available, but it’s so addictive I’ve been watching up to 15 episodes a day. Love it

Just one of the best TV shows ever. Family oriented although flawed, no heavy drama, no cursing, or vulgarity of anything. Just plain and pure TV wholesome entertainment and enjoyment to the max... Love the whole cast. They complement each other. Great writing... 🧡❤🧡
How is anything in that show family oriented? There is heavy drama like every episode, cheating, and plenty of cursing. Have you not watched the show at all?
Ummm did we watch the same show??
There is the teenage pregnancy thing. Running away from home thing. I am sure there is more. I know it's fiction, but still.
family oriented???? 😂😂😂 funny joke
How is showing a person getting pregnant at a young age then running away from home a "family oriented"
We need more shows with diverse , strong , intelligent and funny female casting !!! Loved this series
I think you mean shows and not shoes ☺️
this wasn't very diverse at all though.

logan watching that part 👁👄👁
Those two actors love each other.
This was my mom ‘s favorite show. I cherish memories of us watching together!! Mom passed but every time I can catch a rerun and remember mom.
My mom watched it when I was a baby and we rewatched it together a few months ago. This will be a memory I will keep forever :). I hope you are fine, I'm really sorry for your loss! :( I can't imagine how hard that must be
So sorry for your loss
So sorry for your loss🙏
Same! … but it was with my grandmother. I’d lay out on her bedroom floor browsing through all her shopping catalogs and watching. My grandmother was not a talker, at all, so we watched mostly in silence but it was memorable.
Binged when I was pregnant. My, now five year old, daughter heard the song and was like "wait I know this!!!!"
“A lot of people feel like they didn’t get their ending.” *show proceeds to end on a cliff hanger*
The story is still not finished. Who is the father of Rory’s baby… so many unanswered questions. Does Logan get married? Does Jess come back into Rory’s life. There definitely needs to be another 4 episode “A Year In The Life.” #gilmoregirls #notdoneyet #fanswantmore #gilmoregirlsayearinthelifetwo #moretothestory #netflix
Yesss!
Logan is the only potential father, she didn’t sleep with Dean or Jess, nor was it even hinted
@@elliebee43 don’t forget her one night stand with the guy she met in line in ny though. i bet that’s the father bc she would have been careful with logan every time but that one wasn’t planned and she probably didn’t think to use protection
@@lillycrew4170 Oh wow, you're right! I forgot about the wookie guy. That would definitely make for an interesting plot.
@@lillycrew4170... but we should also consider it could still be Logan. On the night of the unexpected appearance of the Life and Death Brigade, when they swept her away for a night of fun and mischief, she ended up spending the night with Logan. That could've been the time of conception.
Can we talk about how Kelly bishop literally hasn’t aged
After my mom passed when I was 16, I watched this show for the first time and it helped me immensely with my grieving process. I cried a lot because it reminded me so much of my relationship with my mom but it also helped me heal (as much as one can). But it’s still my comfort show to this day, helps me feel closer to my mom even tho she’s not physically with me anymore.
This show needs to come back and redeem itself it just didn’t end well
True
YES, please remake the ending, and let it rather be a new beginning of seven more years when we will enjoy a myriad of great adventures and character development. The world needs more Rory, Lorelai, and Emily!
I’ve been in a really dark place recently, mentally and emotionally.. the only thing I’ve been able to watch is Gilmore Girls. I’ve tried watching all these new series and movies that everyone recommends and loves, but Gilmore Girls is the only thing I can watch. It’s comfort and it’s safe. It will forever be a favorite of mine.

Can we appreciate how AWESOME the whole cast is for coming back to Gilmore girls - a year in a life? Even though it’s not perfect I LOVE they did it and gave us fans what we wished for. It’s the same magic stars hollow always had. Three great women and an awesome cast for the whole show. THANKS ❤️
Like many others this is my comfort show and I can’t put into words how grateful I am to have it whenever I need to feel… something.
We need more positive and good vibes series like this. :(
I highly recommend Hart of Dixie. Not many shows were able to create the similar kind of comfort for me but that one was close.
Paris was pretty memorable too lol her and Rory had their issues but she challenged Rory and was ready to defend her in her Paris way.

Omg. I started rewatching this show every fall back in college as well! Hehe the vibes are awesome.
Gilmore Girls was hands down the best written show that has ever been on television.
As someone who's recently finished the series and the spin off this show truly is the most comforting show that I have ever seen every single character has brought a smile to my face especially Lorelai
Yes, me too 🙇🏽♀️
The only thing I hated about Gilmore Girls….is that it ended.
Gilmore Girls was a huge part of my life.this show gave me comfort and helped me through many difficult times... ❤️
Me and my daughter watch and rewatch The Gilmore girls. And deep inside I wish we would have seen more even after the reboot.
I liked season 7
Agreed!
I love that Lauren talks about Lorelai and says "she never really blamed anyone," when literal words Lorelai says to a therapist are "I love that this is just another thing I can blame my mother for" hahaha 😭
I was thinking along these lines haha! She is always blaming!

Also, I might be the only person that is team Marty, but I really think he brought out the best in Rory. She was the most selfless with him as a largely selfish character.
Ikr
But she wasn’t into him, so how could be be the best for her
@@endlesssummer2133 she wasn't into Dean or Jess either at the end, but people still ship them. And Logan was utter trash in the end. That's just my opinion on a fictional character though, nothing more. If she ended up with Marty I'd be happy 😅
OMG! I’m team Marty! I couldn’t believe Rory wouldn’t even consider dating him! He would have been so much better for her than any of the others.
I wish they'd start back up with Rory as the mother and Lorelie and Luke as the grandparents with Emily the great grandmother.
They could call it "Fuller Girls".
I named my daughter after Lauren and nicknamed her Rory! She's now 10 years old. That's how I love this show. ❤️☺️
This has always been my favorite show and I can’t count how many times I’ve rewatched the series in its entirety❤
I grew up with gilmore girls, I'm at the same age with rory this series will be forever in my heart.
Super interesting. I was a little younger than Lorelei. I wonder how i would have viewed this series at 16. I equate it to My So called Life. I was her age then as well.
I grew up watching this as a very small kid and have continued to rewatch it about every age. I’ve literally grown up with this show always and it will forever be my comfort and feel like home
They need to make another one cause at the end of Gilmore girls the year in the life Rory announced to her mom that she was pregnant & they never followed up afterwards
Still annoyed at that ending
I actually think it’s perfect. Loralei spent Rory’s whole life ensuring she would get through school and have all the opportunities she missed by getting pregnant. Rory ends up pregnant and back in the small town. All be it older. It’s very full circle.
Alexis has shown up in these events with a bit of sadness in her eyes. I really hope she’s happy and has found happiness in her life. I love her and all the actors from the show so I wish them all the very best. They’ve made me so happy for so many years. ❤
Best show ever. I rewatch this show at least once a year, usually during the fall/winter season. They did everyone horribly dirty taking it off.
I’ve watched this show probably 4000 times. Truly love it
I own all seasons of the Gilmore Girls. I bought the set at Costo which came in a Barbie-esk trifold carrier with a handle. The GGs is my Mac and cheese go to when life is stressful! My son left home and I re decorated his room- put on the GGs. My mom died- GGs. I moved from the west coast to the east coast and found my own private Stars Hollow hoping to find connections which is hard. The answer - decorate n put on a season of the GGs ❤
Jess was the best thing that happened to Rory , 1 he was one to make her go back to college , 2 he gave her the book idea .
No Jess didn't make her go back. Rory was already thinking of going back he gave her a push. Jess can't make Rory do anything. It's up to Rory to decide that.
@lauriecarson6483 he was the one who knocked sense into her.
@@staceyloudon2596that's don't mean he got her back to Yale.
@lauriecarson6483 without his advice and encouragement, I doubt she would have went back(at least at that time)
OMG! Yes! Bring Gilmore Girls back! I have binged watched this show 3 times. I watched with my mom when it first issued. Then, binge watched with my daughter when they announced the A Year in the Life. We are the THOMAS GIRLS!
The Gilmore Girls is like a multi faceted jewel! So many well developed characters and the intertwined relationships made it hard to have a favorite… for very long.. but I really I loved Suki💕
One of my favorite shows ever.....
Entire cast extraordinary.....
Stars hollow is my dream town to live in ...
Gilmore Girls is my favorite show ever! I watched it in the early 2000s. And have watched it a bajillion times since then! I watch it when I’m happy, I watch it when I’m sad…I watch it when I do house chores, I watch it when I cozy up on the sofa. The best thing is, I watch it with my husband too! it’s always there. ❤❤❤
Yes!! Same here. No matter what mood I'm in and no matter what's happened that day, I can sit down & watch Gilmore Girls and I just feel better.
They’ve become family and a daily staple! ❤
this is me too!! It's like they are my family I come home to all the time :)
There should have been a little story on Kirk!! He was the best!
This show gets better and better each rewatch. One of my forever favorites.
