Hi Andrew I've been on your advice for a month now no alcohol no sugar very low carbs ,I still have little niggle pain in hip and knee but feeling a lot better, I've got myself a bike to do 5.or 10.mins every other day to help .thank you I will continue.yet to do a long walk as I used to, but hey one step at a time .
About nine months ago, I was diagnosed with severe arthritis in my right hip and an inflamed tendon in right (front of) thigh. Went for PT for a month and tendon healed. Had been in constant pain, relying on NSAIDs, ever since. Really appreciate your videos. This past week, I've been abstaining from carbs and fasting, and feel much better. Feel even better when I exercise, particularly my glutes. I seem to be responding well to alfalfa seed, astragalus root, melatonin, MSM, collagen, and glucosamine & chondrointin. I'm no longer in pain, and I am very hopeful for the future. Thanks again! 😊
@Lolabelle59 Wow! That's quite the list of supplements for the severe arthritis in your right hip. I have severe, advanced osteoarthritis in my right hip as well. I know Melatonin is helpful for jet lag and sleep etc, but I'm curious to know how it eases the arthritis? I can't get all the supplements you are taking as it gets expensive, and I'm already taking other supps (gets to be mouthful! lol). However, which would you say is better; the MSM versus the Glucosamine & C? Great to hear you are no longer in pain. I am also curious about the alfalfa seeds and astragalus root. Today I was able to cut my toenails myself for the first time in a year and a half...I am happy! I have followed your advice 100 percent for five or six days. 😊
I just want to say how grateful I am of your videos . I've just been through a very tough time due to a great loss. Two weeks later, I was diagnosed with severe hip arthritis with the doctor stating that he will see me within 2 - 5 years for a replacement. As you can imagine, this was a devastating blow on top of already being depressed to begin with. After finding your channel, I have already seen results...although I'm finding it hard to cut out all my sugars....baby steps for me. Trying to balance my mental state with some restrictions I already have from foods...plus turning 60 this year and still dealing with some nagging menopause issues, I feel like I have to start from 0 and rebuild my entire life. Your videos and tips Andrew have restarted my journey....a tough but doable one, and I thank you.
I have a vibrator machine that i stand on to get many repetitions in a short time. (Astronauts use it to get muscles strong to come back into gravity). I used it to tighten my glutes and every other muscle when i use it. My left hip no longer hurts now. Will use it more to get my right hip into line. So I know your recommendations work. I wondered why suddenly only 1 hip hurt. Also i walked with my butt behind me which im trying not to do anymore. Anterior pelvic tilt i believe is the correct term. Half way there. I already eat fewer carbs but i can go lower. you give me hope and explain what happened to my zero pain left hip. But the glory goes to God for getting this info to me. Just the right video at just the right time.
I had a horrific diagnosis in June and told by my surgeon I need metal rods placed in my pelvis, a long rod down my femur and hip replacement. The hip is causing my knee pain and I have been using a stick for 8 years. I am 79 and obese due my enforced inactivity. I just tried the glute exercise and can walk twice as fast without placing all my weight on left arm to the stick and just using the stick lightly. My backside muscles barely used for 8 years are now propelling my body forward. My walk had ground down to a crawl this year. This is miraculous!! I started the diet yesterday but need one cup of coffee with 3 sugars.
Well done on your progress so far, you can reduce your sugar by half a teaspoon a week and not even notice! You'll soon be enjoying it without ANY sugar. Keep up the great work !
I am 69 and suffer some from Osteoarthritis mostly caused by wear and tear the result of long term physical work. I did receive a shoulder replacement 2 years ago but the knees and hips are hanging in there. A decreasing range of motion in the hip/leg has become problematic, to a certain degree anyway. I am finding that placing a foot up on a chair and then squatting low with the other leg till I feel some discomfort and holding that position for 30 seconds is helping to alleviate the problem. Even my walking feels looser and younger. Thanks for all the good advice.
Have been inspired by you & gone off suger & carbs for 3 weeks now - gosh it's hard to walk & tighten each butt as I go - but I will get stronger. I am determined to improve hips !!! Thank you.
Coming across your video two weeks ago convinced me to immediately start on Protein fats only. One good lunch of steak, feta cheese, eggs and sometimes avocado with salami as bag up if hungry.. Hardly need more than one meal. Sleeping better, less pain, better movement(from almost seized hip tightness). It's given me knew inspiration to believe I can heal to proper movement again without the multiple recommendations from orthopaedic surgeons that hip replacements were necessary. Weak hip and leg muscles from an injury are the root not joints. Thank you 🧡🙏
Hi Andrew , thank you very much for posting this video . I recently discovered that I have hip arthritis . I was suffering lots of pain in both joints . I've seen other videos on arthritis but none of them are advising on cutting out the sugar's only doing different types of exercises . After following your advise I can now walk without crutches and more importantly the pain has lessened . Thank you .
I am so happy I was lucky enough to find you on the side of my page here on youtube. I have had terrible hip pain for 2 years now. I fell off my bike and now have arthritis. I've been told I need a hip replacement. I have never wanted to do anything less in my life. I will do anything to get better. So as of today I am following all of your advise. I will keep you posted and thank you so very much for sharing your experience, and success with your own healing.
Thank you for your earnestness in explaining this. It’s easy to see you truly want to help people relieve their pain and try to avoid surgery. Thank you, sir.
What a lot of people who expect instant results don't realise, is cartilage is avascular (i.e. has little to no blood supply) and hence it's Chondrocytes only receive nourishment indirectly via diffusion from the surrounding area. Low impact exercises such as cycling or swimming (that safely apply compression to the cartilage) aids the recovery process as this increases the diffusion of nutrients. However like you say in this video the healing process will only "kick in" once you reduce the inflammation in the joints.
Hi Andrew, I had a knee injury 16 yrs ago and healed it naturally with a product that helped grow back tendins. This January it came back. I do exercises. But I was in chronic pain till I found your videos! I started on Keto and have been on it for 2 months. Changed my life. I started using castor oil and infrared light for 2o min a day. Wow pain is almost gone. My other sore areas are gone! Thank You!!!❤
Please tell me why castor oil, how it helps with bone on bone hip arthritis? Because all vegetable oils are toxic so you get only more inflamation in body.
I started watching your videos and I follow your tips and I have to say that pain in my hip has reduced significantly, I am glad that I found your channel. Many thanks and you are doing great work sharing your knowledge.
Thank you for this challenge! I have just finished a week of no sugar or any carbs. The pain in the knee and hip joint has almost gone and I feel full of energy. And the tightest jeans now fit comfortably, an added bonus. Although I am a regular swimmer, yoga and taichi student I have noticed the uneven balance in strength of the glutes and am now working on this. I am going to follow your nutrition advice from now on and am so grateful to you for sharing your knowledge.
i followed your advice and my cartlidge in the hip grew back now use Otezla which reduces my inflamation ... muscle imbalance interesting...probably essential to know. Thanks!
All I can say to shapefixer is...thank you..thank you..thank you..I only been following for couple of months and following your arthritis plan for a couple of weeks but I can already see an improvement and my movements are getting better every day so thank you very much for sharing your experience ..I'm so grateful that it works for me and will carry on ❤
Wow Minnie that is wonderful to hear, thank you so much for taking the time to get back to me! Just keep going, I hope you are doing the exercises as well so the problem does not come back - Andrew
Ok. This was amazing. I've been doing this for about 2 weeks and the pain is gone! I felt like an idiot for a few days and a few people asked me, "You hurt yourself or something? " Then I watched that El Paso therapist who said, "Just flex at about 25%". Haha! Was much easier. 😊
@carlk8308 I love him too! I canceled a hip replacement after doing his stuff for a week. Still fighting pain but advice like his and this gentleman too and I have far less pain and far more hope.
Thank you doctor for the information you shared on Hip Pain. I've cut down on candy bars, bread , tortillas but have not gotten rid of my hip pain that hurts so badly. I do use coffee creamer in my coffee once a day which has sugar. I have no improvement yet. I do not smoke or drink alcohol so that's a help. Will follow your advice. Again, I thank you.
I am a carb junkie! and I have knee arthritis but I also have pain in my hips....I have read that glute strength helps knees as well because it keeps things aligned properly. also if I tighten my tummy muscles as well when I walk it seems to help so Im assuming core strength in general is immensely important to joint health.....and the sugar thing is noticable when I cut back.
The sugar thing is huge, and all carbs are sugar. "Starch" is just chains of glucose molecules, nothing else (do you know white bread, pasta and rice are all even higher on the Glycaemic Index than table sugar?!)
A doctor recommended a diet for me to get all the inflammation out of my body. The book is titled " Whole 30." 0 sugar, and anything that turns to sugar, for 30 days and feel the difference. Whole cuts of meat_ vegetables _ fruit. No corn or peas. The difference was truly amazing. And the strength of my addictions pulled me right back in the mess. You are the 2nd man I've seen that say's avoid the fruit with high sugar. I'm guessing banana and grapes are the worst. The other man said a year on this diet and the prostate will start shrinking back to normal. Do you think that's true?
@shapefixer I certainly do the exercises as well and since I feel so much better my mood is positive which keeps me going without any difficulty thank you is really not enough 🎉
You are so good at responding to people. Thank you. I have been trying the walk and squeeze technique for a few days. I do find that engages my upper thigh muscles and that seems to cause more discomfort. It may be because I have a mild hip labral tear. Am I doing it wrong? I think maybe the bed exercises may work. I think I am doing too much.😔Ty.
Me too Rod!! I've gone from "needing a hip replacement" to running 10k, so it was worth the sacrifices - and now I enjoy a couple of beers or glasses of wine about once a week.
Was rally ill being sick and diarrhoea for a week.. Didn't eat anything for a week and guess what my arthitus pain went so deffinately something I was eating. I'm on the keto diet now and feel lot better with no sugar or carbs at all. It works
When cutting out sugar completely does this mean honey too? I have hip arthritis, (3 years now and really struggling) found you the weekend and am so impressed with your ideas and journey that I will be following the path you did to heal. Every morning I have cinnamon, lemon and honey first thing, do I cut out the honey. Thank you for your videos, day 1 and I'm feeling positive. Thank you
Hi Sharon, welcome, and let's do this! Yes, cut the honey, honey is just sticky sucrose (table sugar) with a few additional chemicals to keep it dark and runny.
Is there an alternative rather than walking clenching glutes? What's the best glute exercise to do the same job? Can you please make video on your diet and exercises? You are giving me hope and other people out there .Is the healing process different for everyone ? Is it easier if its minimal hips e.t.c
Alternative exercise ( from El Paso Manual Physical Training) can be done sitting in a chair. Simply clench buttocks tightly and hold for ten seconds. Relax repeat for ten times.
Glute exercises were a complete waste of time until I understood what was turning my glutes on and off. My glutes were not firing correctly, so exercises didn't work. Look up PRI, it was a game changer for me.
I’m on board! I’m scheduled for my first consultation in august. I’m 49. I used to be a skim boarder( the board u throw on wet sand and slide to hit waves) in Florida and sk8/surfer. Moved to coastal Oregon where I started hunting. It was two bad falls on that hip joint. I then kept hiking beyond what the body should do. I also have multiple sclerosis. Curious to see how it pans out. I do that head chair exercises (feet up) since I can’t walk well after fresh meniscus surgery. I tore it off the bone on opposite side. I was walking like a zombie. Now I’m evening the muscle load and retraining brain to turn off the side with the bad hip. Major obstacles currently…
i was hoping this would help unfortunately i was a 9 of 10 on the arthritis scale. i know this will cure most patients so i urge others to follow the protocol
Have you or anyone here tried this kind of pelvic floor strenghthener? Especially this kind for men and women? They use it to get stronger but muscles..@shapefixer is talking about strenghtening those muscles so it should be useful for this purpose.
Ass walking worked for me. I was already relieved of inflation to a great extent through diet but ass walking definitely helped, as did more erect posture whilst walking. Correct posture is a big help and only requires the old straighten up, shoulder back, head up and fly right routine.
I’m on board too Andrew. As of two days ago 7/19/24. I promise to share results that support your personal experience and advice. You’ve inspired me. Truly. Thank you!
Hi Andrew, i always enjoy your viseos. Thqnk you so much. I am deeply in pain from osteoarthritis, AVN and my left leg is short so i dont have bith legs touching the ground. Its difficult to move. I use a cane and my left hip is tilted. I have tried to reduce inflammation using your formula, and i still get so much pain. Those supplements are very expensive here and i cant afford them. Pls what do i do
Stevia is best as it is alkaline. Cut out all foods that create acid as much as possible. Try to get to 20% acidic & 80% alkaline. Look up Barbara O’Neil: arthritis healing foods
I'm on ketovore diet last six months because of my hip arthritis - bone on bone, and last 10 days pure lion diet (beef, celtic salt and water only). I'm adding just one thin slice of lemon to my beef in every meal (I have got two meals in day and intermittent fasting 16-18 hours), because lemon has got vitamin c (which helps with collagen) and also helps me with better digestion and breakdown of protein and fat. So my question is: do you think two thin slice of lemon in day is too much fructose, is it good? Or it's better to take vitamin C in suplements/pills? I don't eat any vegetable anymore.
Hi Eileen, not specifically but I highly recommend @EPmanualphysicaltherapy TH-cam channel where you will find truly excellent advice on appropriate exercises for all sorts of joint issues. It is one of my "go to" channels for more detailed advice and ideas around rehabilitation excercises.
@vickiswinehart8675 that makes a lot of sense to me as it would redistribute the forces in the joint, but not very practical as you go about your daily business in the shopping mall
I have been on a nil-carb diet (ketovore) for 5 years and I don’t drink or smoke. Yet my right hip (which has a bit of bone on bone) recently started to give me curry and is clearly inflamed. Based upon your advice to reduce inflammation and given my already extreme low carb diet, is it ok to go on anti-inflammatories such as Brufen just to reduce the inflammation to promote the healing?
Instead of eating sugar can I take honey and maple syrup.. Please reply.. I am condromalacia patella I have knee cartilage damage I would like to follow your advice
Unfortunately yes 100% honey is sticky sucrose with a tiny sprinkling of trace chemicals produced by the bees. It tastes great but its sugar. People think there's something "magical" about honey, but the chemistry is straightforward
Our body actually makes 28 types of collagen! As far as supplements go, I honestly dont think it makes much difference as you are going to digest it anyway - it is protein, it all breaks up in your stomach acid - then you will use the "bits and pieces" (the amino acids) to build the various types according to what you need. Let your food be 90% of the solution, and supplements the other 10%. Supplements are not a substitute for food, so eat plenty of protein, and try vary the source (meat, chicken, fish, eggs, full fat dairy etc)
Does that mean all you can eat ever again is meat, fish , eggs , and butter ? Never have any other food groups ? Because i eat a well balanced diet , i cannot eliminate any food groups for other many reasons ...the supplements, cycling, and rest and TENS seems to help though !
Hi Andrew. It's a really inspiring message you have. I work as a physiotherapist and I would really like to use your thinking on some of my patients but in order to do that I would like to be able to refer to some studies. So, to your knowledge, is there any studies done on this you can point me to?
This would be a difficult "study" to conduct with a meaningful sample of people in a strictly controlled setting, but as tjhe results are so quick and there is no financial investment necessary, it shouldn't be a "hard sell" to get people to try. Having said that, I would point you towards @EPmanualphysicaltherapy here on TH-cam - Dr Middaugh is a physio like you are and runs clinics for arthritis, I think you'd get a lot out of looking at his channel and heatring his views. He has had huge success with his approach, but bear in mind he focusses entirely on rehab with exercise and I think one needs a holistic approach to really nail it (as in most things).
Any advice on knees that have osteoarthritis? Buggered mine slipping and falling on my knees years ago. Doing keto but wondering if there are any suitable exercises for them. I don’t have any hip issues but will endeavour to do the walking butt clenches also as possible preventative. Can’t hurt to try. Many thanks for your videos. I find them a font of info. Cheers from Australia 🦘
I can't eat any fats.(Medical). I don't eat meat. I live on carbs and starches.(Unrefined) What can I do? I don't drink or smoke. I do all the exercises. My labrum has torn away from the bone. The joint is worn with spurs that have eroded the cartilage away.
Not sure what to tell you, I dont know what the "medical" reason is you cant eat fats or meat? Carbs and starches are sugar, this is not food. There is no actual nutrient whatsover in sugar; the nutrient you are getting is in trace amounts from the starchy foods (ie small amounts of protein, minerals etc). Your only option, if you really can't eat fat or oil, is supplements. But the sugar is going to remain a problem for you with elevated insulin causing inflammation , and leading to obesity, fatty liver and diabetes over time.
So I have seen many elderly dogs with arthritis. They obviously have a keto diet, eating almost exclusively meat and fats. Why then do they have arthritis? They are obese but on a strictly no sugar, no fruit, no grain diet. It seems to me that in their case it it obesity causing the problem, not sugar.
Unfortunately not. Bananas are pretty high on the glycaemic index, because they are very high in glucose. Other, sweeter tasting fruits, or a bit lower, but only because they contain more fructose which is destructive in other ways and speeds up Fatty Liver Disease and ultimately Diabetes. The only fruits you should seriously consider eating are dark or red berries.
Have you followed the other recommendations at the same time? (ie Exercises , Supplements etc) Or have you just cut out all sugar and carbs, alcohol and smoking?
Meat is so expensive now that I can’t do that. Plus how pure is the meat nowadays anyway? They’ve mucked about with it so much. My main problem is giving up sugar as it’s in so many foods. I’m trying to substitute biscuits for oatcakes as at least they make you feel full. I’m female aged 75 and have sore knees and hips especially during the night as inflammation seems worse when I’m in bed.
@@BillAnderson-y7kI thought that it was sugar which caused the most inflammation. Re plant food does that include bread since wheat is a plant? I eat bananas and blueberries but not much more in the way of fruit. What about herbal teas as herbs are plants aren’t they? It’s so hard to know what is best.
@@katperson7332 Bread is VERY HIGH CARB content, it's not just sugar that causes Inflammation, ALL CARBS are bad for Inflammation, because they convert to glucose on digestion. I find BANANAS put my sugar up enormously, ALL BERRIES are lower carbs than most other fruits. Herbal Teas should not be a problem.
@@katperson7332 I try to buy meat and fish "on offer" or bigger quantities, and freeze the excess in portions, as single portions are very expensive. Sugar is the highest carbohydrate food, but all carbs are inflammatory, so includes all flour and baked goods, plus potatoes and some vegetables, pasta etc. Even Oats have carbs.
Please help me im young and limping having pain everyday cant sleep movmeent restriction left hip pain how can i contact you .email? Pls hepp GOD will help you.gratefull for your reply
If you believe you have hip arthritis, and/or your doctor has diagnosed this, it's caused by INFLAMMATION, which is caused by too high ingestion of CARBOHYDRATES. All Carbs turn to Sugar (Glucose) in your digestive system. If your doctor diagnoses it, you will likely be prescribed Anti-inflammatory Medication, which can have severe effects on your liver, or sometimes kidneys. Prevention is better.
Sean that's hilarious! I went through a stage when I thought it would amuse people if I kept wearing different glasses, but after almost 100 videos I realise its become an expensive gimmick!

Although I am a regular swimmer, yoga and taichi student I have noticed the uneven balance in strength of the glutes and am now working on this. I am going to follow your nutrition advice from now on and am so grateful to you for sharing your knowledge.
One week!! Wow, your body is responding exceptionally well, that's fantastic, keep it up!
i followed your advice and my cartlidge in the hip grew back
now use Otezla which reduces my inflamation ... muscle imbalance interesting...probably essential to know. Thanks!
very informative!! simpel and humbly presented! Thanks!
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks u for the information
Thats fantastic well done! Keep going
Put a Pillow between your knees when you sleep on your side at night... I did this, hip pain gone 1st night after trying it.
Brilliant! That's included in my video of easy exercises to relieve hip pain. Take the tension out of the iliotibial band (tendon outside of hip)
Thanks for this beautiful video
You are so welcome!
Thankssss a million for your efforts to help us with your valuable informations ❤
❤ thanks for the video, will practice this ,,I have arthritis 😮
I am a carb junkie! and I have knee arthritis but I also have pain in my hips....I have read that glute strength helps knees as well because it keeps things aligned properly. also if I tighten my tummy muscles as well when I walk it seems to help so Im assuming core strength in general is immensely important to joint health.....and the sugar thing is noticable when I cut back.
The sugar thing is huge, and all carbs are sugar. "Starch" is just chains of glucose molecules, nothing else (do you know white bread, pasta and rice are all even higher on the Glycaemic Index than table sugar?!)
Thank you so very much! I will start today!
You go Janice, good for you, stay connected and let us know how you do!
I have to do this!
Yes!!
To the best of my knowlede, no diet has been scientifically proven to reduce an enlarged prostate.
@shapefixer I certainly do the exercises as well and since I feel so much better my mood is positive which keeps me going without any difficulty thank you is really not enough 🎉
Aah Minnie, you are most welcome! - Andrew
This is amazing and devastating because I love to have a beer or two…..
Me too Rod!! I've gone from "needing a hip replacement" to running 10k, so it was worth the sacrifices - and now I enjoy a couple of beers or glasses of wine about once a week.
@@shapefixer seriously amazing
@@joannechristian3091 Thankyou
Here's a video I made recently that will get you started

Glute exercises were a complete waste of time until I understood what was turning my glutes on and off. My glutes were not firing correctly, so exercises didn't work. Look up PRI, it was a game changer for me.
Thank you very good I wake up at night because of the pain Please let me know what can I do Thank you 🙏🏽🌈
So try the two things in the video, and check my video showing three more exercises (its linked at the end of this video)
Sounds like you've got the discipline and determination for the exercises, don't forget the nutrition
i was hoping this would help unfortunately i was a 9 of 10 on the arthritis scale. i know this will cure most patients so i urge others to follow the protocol
Have you or anyone here tried this kind of pelvic floor strenghthener? Especially this kind for men and women? They use it to get stronger but muscles..@shapefixer is talking about strenghtening those muscles so it should be useful for this purpose.
Very good 👍 video. Myself I get body balancing by my Nucca chiropractor every 6 months and I also got a special mesh put in between my hip bone.
I also follow Medical Medium food protocols
I am following the first part (zero carbs) but not the muscle clicnching, I will post it's effect in a week time. Thank you Andrew
Yes my friend, let us hear about it!
So, how'd it go?
I'm doing another MRI next week, I really want to know if it's a tissue or tendons issue to decide if I want to do PRP.
Ass walking worked for me. I was already relieved of inflation to a great extent through diet but ass walking definitely helped, as did more erect posture whilst walking. Correct posture is a big help and only requires the old straighten up, shoulder back, head up and fly right routine.
Thank you for sharing these tips!!! Im motivated to get rid of hip and lower backer and shoulder and thumb arthritis!!!
You got this Laura, and you are not alone! - Andrew
You go girl!
I’m on board too Andrew. As of two days ago 7/19/24. I promise to share results that support your personal experience and advice. You’ve inspired me. Truly. Thank you!
When you say no carbs do you also mean salads
Hi Andrew, i always enjoy your viseos. Thqnk you so much.
I am deeply in pain from osteoarthritis, AVN and my left leg is short so i dont have bith legs touching the ground. Its difficult to move. I use a cane and my left hip is tilted. I have tried to reduce inflammation using your formula, and i still get so much pain. Those supplements are very expensive here and i cant afford them. Pls what do i do
Hello if we have hlab 27 +ve and these methods helps us to cure hip arthritis
What about stevia?
th-cam.com/video/vagASEAm_b0/w-d-xo.html
Please what can I use to sweeten my coffee, I currently use xylitol, what do you think of this?
Lakanto Monk Fruit Drops
I don’t do sugar. But..a little honey in my coffee is great.
I use Stevia if/when I need a sweetener. No contraindications, no aftertaste.
I use monk fruit powder. It's really expensive, until you understand how little It takes. It doesn't have the cold taste of xylitol and erythritol.
Stevia is best as it is alkaline. Cut out all foods that create acid as much as possible. Try to get to 20% acidic & 80% alkaline. Look up Barbara O’Neil: arthritis healing foods
Any TIP LIKE -Heel to 😊Tie/or TOE TO HEEL 'first while walking'?
Not really, just clench the butt
Two slices of lemon is very little sugar so its fine, but it wont give you a lot of VitC. Take a VitC supplement in addition.
@@shapefixer ok, thank you very much.
Do you have a similar quick fix for knee arthritis? Thank you.
I have heard walking backwards is good for knees. I believe the military uses it when they have a knee injury. Maybe research it on youtube.
@@shapefixerthank you for your reply.
Yes, definitely, to give it a start
Where’s the link?
Check the notes below the video
Instead of eating sugar can I take honey and maple syrup..
Please reply..
I am condromalacia patella I have knee cartilage damage I would like to follow your advice
Honey and maple syrup are unfortunately just sugar!
What fruit apart from berries
Hi there.I have a question about Honey. We live in the Algarve and have lots of access to good organic Honey........Does this count as SUGAR?
Unfortunately yes 100% honey is sticky sucrose with a tiny sprinkling of trace chemicals produced by the bees. It tastes great but its sugar. People think there's something "magical" about honey, but the chemistry is straightforward
Had a hip replacement still have pain
I am so sorry to hear that. Eating to control inflammation could make a big difference, even for you.
Hi Andrew what type//brand of collegen did you use to avoid your hip replacement? I've heard type2 is better for joints, but harder to find.
Yes look for chicken collagen it contains Type 2 collagen
What is PRI
Any advice on knees that have osteoarthritis? Buggered mine slipping and falling on my knees years ago. Doing keto but wondering if there are any suitable exercises for them. I don’t have any hip issues but will endeavour to do the walking butt clenches also as possible preventative. Can’t hurt to try. Many thanks for your videos. I find them a font of info. Cheers from Australia 🦘
My blood test says creatinine is high. I know I have some kidney damage but I am on a low carb diet. I can't believe creatinine is that dangerous.
I try for months. I have no success. Pain is getting worse. Hips don't work.
Is fruit ok, oranges, bananas?
Unfortunately not. Bananas are pretty high on the glycaemic index, because they are very high in glucose. Other, sweeter tasting fruits, or a bit lower, but only because they contain more fructose which is destructive in other ways and speeds up Fatty Liver Disease and ultimately Diabetes. The only fruits you should seriously consider eating are dark or red berries.
Ich versuche die empfohlene Ernährung seit zwei Monaten. Leider bisher erfolglos. Die Schmerzen sind unerträglich.
Have you followed the other recommendations at the same time? (ie Exercises , Supplements etc) Or have you just cut out all sugar and carbs, alcohol and smoking?
@@barbaramcmillan3835 Sublements yes. Excercises are difficult because of the pain.
Cortisone
Instant symptomatic relief but without the necessary changes in exercise and diet, weight, etc the problem will always come back
Eat carnivore and you'll be fine
Meat is so expensive now that I can’t do that. Plus how pure is the meat nowadays anyway? They’ve mucked about with it so much. My main problem is giving up sugar as it’s in so many foods. I’m trying to substitute biscuits for oatcakes as at least they make you feel full. I’m female aged 75 and have sore knees and hips especially during the night as inflammation seems worse when I’m in bed.
All the inflammation will go away if you quit eating plants, they are the cause
Very cheaky exercises 😅

The question is: can you trust a man who owns eleventeen different pairs of glasses?
Um, yes.
The number is twelvteen . At 12 pairs, a person is suspect.🙄
