Dang! I'm searching for the sound these weight-drop Schwartzkopf Shuttle Loops made during launch. I'll bet this was super 8mm & had no sound. Great footage, though!

If you want to know the sound it made, this coaster in particular, operated at Alton Towers here in the uk from 1990 - 1996 kown as thunder looper. There is a great video showing it there with sound and you can hear the noise it made! Very loud but was extremely fun!!!

@@Amusementnational Very cool, thanks! I watched several videos actually, including one with a behind-the-scenes peek. None had a clear, distinct example of the sound because audio on cameras wasn't as good as now I suspect, but one video showed the weight dropping in the tower via an open window on the side. I can't wait for the new, rescued Schwartzkopf shuttle loop to open at Niagra Amusement Park! These really are one of my favorite steel coasters still.

@crooked-halo I do know that king cobra still operates in Brazil. I can't remember what it is called now. It still has the weight drop also!

@@Amusementnational Wow, thanks! Yes, indeed it still operates as Katapul at
Hopi Hari Park in Brazil! There are two weight drop shuttles and two flywheel shuttle loops by Schwartzkopf still operating, one in storage. I just researched on RCDB. I thought the one being stored at Niagra Amusement Park was the only one in the world.

Why did it closed

After the ride's manufacturer, TOGO, went out of business in 2001, parts for the ride became more expensive and harder to find.
