- Hey guys! I hope yall enjoy this video of some of the defunct Kings Dominion rides and attractions. I couldn't add the waterslides as that would be a really long video. I tried to find clips for the major and recent rides. Enjoy!

One 4th of July, the ride operators of Hurler let me & my 3 friends watch the fireworks from the top of the ride before the hill. I’ll never forget it. We were trying to do the last rides on all the rides while everyone else was scoping out spots on the courtyard thing for the fireworks, they were like we can park you guys up there for the show! Uh.. YES PLEASE
Volcano was a beautiful one of a kind ride. ❤
Wow! This video really took me back. Great job. I’m 35 and have been going to KD my entire life and you really did a great job showing these unforgettable nostalgic rides.
Holy cow, The Crypt. Never turned down a ride until I came across the Crypt and said, "no kids, I'm sitting this one out. You all go ahead".
That’s a fact I did not want to throw up 😂
Hurler wasn't removed, it was RMC'ed and eventually became twisted timbers.
It’s defunct
The hurler was my favorite ride while it was there. It had the most intense drop of all the roller coasters. You felt it more on this one.
Ok so sad fact. I’ve always wanted to go on volcano ever since I was like 6. Everytime my aunt and mom went on it without me, I cried. 2019 summer I went to kings dominion & NOW i’m tall enough to ride it. I went and saw that it was like.. torn down. And I almost cried bc all those years of waiting to ride that ride and I will never get to.
I’m so sorry for you. See me, I’m the opposite. Whenever we visit Virginia and kings dominion my dad always wanted me to ride racer 75 and I just recently did and lemme say it was the best ride of my life
Litterly my aunt and dad rode it without me then when I was tall enough the had a funeral for it when I went in 2019 !so coincidence
They took away the Haunted River for that ride I’m still mad about that.
I'm very sorry. That ride was one of a kind, given the times. My sister and I always sat in the front every time we went on it, and it was one of the few things we both agreed on. Saying goodbye to the Volcano was like saying goodbye to an old friend... I will always miss that ride...

I'm really upset about the Crypt, though I can't say I'm surprised...when I went in October two years ago, there were only three other people besides myself who wanted to go on the ride. So if they're getting maintenance issues plus a lack of interest, then that just gives them more reasons to decommission the ride.
I rode it one time back in 2007. I really liked it. RIP.

I miss the Hurler and Days of Thunder a lot!!!!
The Huler was my favorite roller coasters. The first drop was the most intense on it than the other coasters
I never could manage to get my brain wired to ride Shockwave. I wish I had ridden it, but it does still seem scary from my little laptop screen.

Where is that ride that swung you around in a big boat/ship thing...i cant remember the name of it but it was just like that el dorado ride except it actually swung you upside down..i think it was somewhere near the main entrance of the park. that used to always be the first ride i got on when i would come to kings dominion..
me and my friends would ride the crypt together a lot and me and the bois called it the ball crusher if you’re a boy you’ll understand why

Bruh adventure Park USA in Maryland where I live took the first right away from six flags because I remember in 2019 going to adventure Park USA and they had the same exact ride and it was called wildcat
El dorado was my fav
So we just going to ignore the Diamond Falls that was replaced by the Backlot Stunt Coaster 😭😭😭

I remember going on The Crypt with my sister the same summer it first open, and what I recall from the experience was me screaming like a bitch, then turning to look at my sister, who was sat there with a stone face and unflinching. After we got off, she proceeded to call the ride "lame."

They keep getting rid of these good rides but refuse to take the grizzly out. I wish they would get rid of the grizzly and bring back the hurler or the volcano.
Razzi Rae the hurler not so much the volcano yes I think they only keep the frizzy cause it’s the oldest ride in the park atm
why would you want them to bring back hurler lol, that was an awful wooden coaster and they already rmc'd it into twisted timbers which is one the best coasters in the us , Also crypt and volcano needed to go way to much maintenance issues, and plus a 4d free spin coaster will be replacing the crypt which is a way better ride experience.
Hurler was a very bumpy ride. I would love to have the volcano back bc I waited for years to get taller to ride it and now that it’s gone I will never get the chance to. But grizzly is also the first roller coaster I ever went on, I have great memories on it. So if they removed it I would be so sad lol.
@@jadag9826 yeah its really sad about Volcano i went on it in 2009. But it was the right decision to remove it . It was a prototype that had tons of maintenance problems and they really tried to make it last as long as possible. Also I heard maintenence was a nightmare because of how it was built into the Volcano. It was an amazing one of a kind coaster. I'm sure cedarfair will find a worthy replacement. Also i agree about Grizzly i really love that coaster its pretty rough but that adds to it plus the forest setting is awesome.
I guess I’m one of the few that liked the hurler too lol better than grizzly for me..

All they have done is take out coasters..... Correct me if I'm wrong but twisted timbers and 305 is the only thing they have added in the last 10years
They claim to be planning to replace them but we will see.

I personally didn't like it. I liked Smurf Mountain and the Haunted River. I did ride Volcano when it first came out, but felt it was to quick to fully enjoy.

Hopefully the Tumbili there now will be gone and forgotten soon. What a terrible ride it is.
