Hello Dr I have military neck from one year ago I go to physiotherapist there is a little improvement of curve but symptoms still appear when I study I have some dizziness and I can't concentrate and I get eye twitching and feel exhausted behind my eyes this annoying me I want to give me a soulotion plz what's exercise and can I go gym for strongest my muscle plz answer my question thx
Healthy Andrew.. I am not sure if I understand your question. A cervical kyphosis is best diagnosed with a spinal xray. An MRI may indicated a kyphosis, but if the MRI is done lying done (usually) then you can't assess the weight bearing affect from gravity on the spine. Without any imaging, a cervical kyphosis can not be identified or diagnosed.

@@DrWalterSalubro excellent. Thank you so much. We'll definitely reach out to them. Poor kid can't stop adjusting his neck every few seconds and he's starting to look like a stegosaurus with his vertebrae protruding out the back at C-6 and C-7. Definitely locked up in the upper thoracic spine as well. He's such a good, capable, well-rounded kid with an extremely kind heart. We just want to see him heal and thrive again. It's been 9 months since his accident. Thank you again Dr. Salburo.

Dear, you give me so much hope; I am infinitely grateful for you. I went to see a physio and he recommended me some exercise that is a neck tuck then curving backward, it feels very uncomfortable to do and I'm afraid it causes more issue than help so I haven't done it. Is there any chance you would give rdv over video call?

I have a straight back syndrome were the diagnosis of straight back syndrome is structural. On my x-rays (lateral thoracic/chest) there is less than 12 cm between the backside of the sternum and the front of the T8 vertebra. There’s not much information on how to reverse this or exercises to help bring the curve back in my thoracic so I was wondering if you knew of anything I can do to help with this condition by increasing the thoracic kyphosis. Also, I have this as well reversal of the cervical so I’m wondering should I do these exercises to help it if I have straight back syndrome or would you want me to bring the thoracic into more flexion before doing this or can I work on both. Thanks
You make a good point and good question. These exercises target the neck and can still be indicated with straight back syndrome. They can also be done seated with the back against the back rest. Having said that, when there are multiple spinal misalignments, a more comprehensive treatment program would be required that woud include posture correcting exercises, alignment/posture correcting adjustments, and traction.

Military necks are hard to correct and it depends on many factors, like degeneration, disc bulges, upper thoracic and T1 alignment. In some cases we can get some measurable improvement of the lordosis.
@@DrWalterSalubro How are military necks hard to correct when you say that kyphosis can be corrected even though kyphosis should be harder to correct?
Ehab, A kyphosis is a reversed cervical curve so there is more room for coming back to straight which is already an improvement. However, a military neck is straight up and down. In my experience, it has been more challenging to pull them into a lordosis from this position. Hope this makes sense.
Hello. This question can not be answered without an assessment and xray evaluation to determine the baseline alignment, rule out limiting factors like degeneration, disc bulges, instabilities. I hope you can appreciate this.
I would like to know if you can recommend a doctor with credentials in bio physics in NYC. I live in Staten Island New York and would like someone in my area who would accept my insurance, any help would be appreciated

Sometimes that happens normally. Spinal joints can make popping sounds with movements sometimes.
