  • This short video will show you how to reset the service indicator on the Husqvarna Norden 901. It allows you to set the number of miles before the indicator returns as well as the time to either one month or 12 months. Please be wise resetting your service indicator and only do so if permitted in your country and by your dealership after you have completed the service.

    Thank you! My service indicator csme on today, at the last miles home from Croatia to Stockholm. The dealer had set it to 10.000km only (wants to make money) even that it’s officially 15.000km. Changed now! :-)

    Have a 2024 Norden Expedition. Did 1st oil change at 760 miles, which was at the end of a 320 mile ride day. The service and warning come on , but I can't advance it to setting.
    It just says I have to take it to the dealer.

    So, the rpm indicator is limited during the break-in or run-in period correct? It'll red line sooner, so that you're more careful during the break in. Does this also update that, or is that something the dealer needs to do?

      Just after 600 miles the RPM indicator that causes the display to flash at about 6000 RPMs stops doing that and you’re able to run it up higher without the flashing there’s no need to see the dealer to reset that it’s automatic. Then around 623 miles the service indicator light comes on

    I'm struggling with the $600+ first service charge. thoughts? Anything they do worth that?

      Really not sure. I checked my chain tension and changed the oil & filter. My bike shows no errors. I would eventually like to take it in to see if the speed shift function can be recalibrated.

    Hello greetings from Germany, thanks for your information about the norden. I drive one myself and am a bit unhappy right now. You can also see a light spot on the plastic in the middle of the paneling behind the ignition lock. Cables burned behind me. There seems to be something wrong with you too. Do you have any information about it, because I don't get any reasonable information about my workshop.

      No sorry. No problem with mine. It has ran perfectly.

      @@mfeidler But you can also see this bright spot on the panel below the speedometer in the video. there is something wrong behind it, the cables are getting too hot.

      @@Sandhalde Appears to be a reflection on mine. Not any kind of melting. Maybe you were pulling too many watts on a aux cable there?

      @@mfeidler I only have a garmin running on the 12 volt socket. I had to have my cables replaced.
      I just wanted to point that out to you.

      @@Sandhalde I looked closer at it today and the plastic does look almost melted. I pulled my GPS mount and the wires under it looked fine. I'll have my dealer check it out on my next visit. When yours melted did any of the electrical stuff stop working? Was it the aux / GPS power wires that actually melterdor others? Thanks

    How does this effect your warranty?

    • @nordenamerica
      @nordenamerica  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You need to check with your dealer that you purchased it from and where you’ll be having it serviced other times to see how they feel about it and it may differ if you’re not in the United States

      I did my first service this week on mine I took a picture of the oil to oil filter the dirty oil in the pan under the bike the new oil in the new filter so I can show proof that I actually did the service on it and the dealer knows it he had no discretion about it
