    WOW, that was easy, kudos! To KTM/Norton for that design.👌🏾

    Bloody excellent video tutorial! I basically copied this approach to install my Garmin on my Expedition. So easy just copying what you guys did. Awesome job. Thanks

    KTM REALLY needs to make their ACC wires easier to access. It's not totally ridiculous on the 1290 but you shouldn't have to remove hard parts to get to a wire. Another great video from Mario. Thanks, man.

    Nice to see this sorted out a little better, had to use a relay between acc1 and acc2 for my gps/phone power on the 1190 to keep it on/off with the key.

    Do you need to use the fuse cable that comes with the Garmin Zumo XT2 during the installation? I didn’t see you do that in the video.

    That is the way it should be, the factory direct the user to the right place to power your accessories! Nearly all brands fail at this .

    Slick. Very slick. Nice job Husky / KTM.

    Very straight forward. That doesn’t look anywhere near as fun as removing the tank and fairings to run the wires to power!

    How about water getting in there under the mount on to the wires, very helpful vid as I'm fitting one to my new norden expedition next week

    Another pro video. That looks crazy easy on the big Husky. I just got my Zumo XT from where you posted the discounted price and your affiliate link (thank you). Now, trying to figure out the best place to put it on my naked scrambler...and then wire it. Should be a big improvement over my phone and Gaia, lol.

    is that mount going to be solid enough through hard off roading ?? im debating buying this exact unit for my Norden 901

      At this point he’s crashed the bike, jumped the bike and about anything else u can do and it’s been fine. Personally, I’d want one made of metal/billet but this one’s held up.

    When you put the gps mount back in the bike did you have to make any modifications for the wire? You ran in middle bottom. Is it ok? Will it pinch the wire?

    • @2WR
      @2WR  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      No mods. It’s not too tight so don’t expect any issues with the wires getting pinched.

  • @thierrybriand2413

    Hi, do you know how many amps we can get out of these wires (and the corresponding fuse which O don't know which one to is) i.e. can i plug both my gps (garmin montana) and iphone XR ? I am guessing probably 5 amps ?
    Thanks and great video !

    • @2WR
      @2WR  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      While I'm not 100% on the 790/890/901 the other ADV models are 10 amps on these wires. I'd expect these are the same.

    • @thierrybriand2413
      @thierrybriand2413 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@2WR Thanks for your reply. The 12v cigarette lighter plug is 10 amps as well. So I just wired my GPS and 5v USB to see and it works fine.

      So I did a bunch of stuff to that bike with a quick turn time and didn't have time to record. Shoot me an email 2wheeledriderdotcom@gmail.com and I can send you some pics of the setup.
