just putting this out there. i was exploring the castile on the hill in dansville, i was on the northeast staircase and i looked down a floor and there was a cop. we ran out and saw 2 cop cars parked on the road. be careful if u check this out, im lucky i know my way around the place.
@@lukerubeck2409it was in such bad shape when I went there 2014-15. It was sunny out and I hadn’t used my flashlight until the end. And the epic levels of dust in the air was pretty scary. There’s lots of asbestos around pipes and tiles, and I couldn’t verify that the dust actually that. Wear a respirator, and I’d avoid that roof. The roof is epic but idk that I’d chance it if I was there today
good video, however most of the places are considered Western NY, except for the last one. The Saratoga Sanitarium is in the upstate NY region. One thing it was used for tuberculosis patients, which is a bacteria that dwells in the soil, they say to not go in to the building because there could be potential risk of contracting it.
Bro this was dope ! Worth a sub from me! Can you do some of mid state? I live in westchester county, likely not as many abandoned places but i could be wrong. Idk how to even find abandoned places but ive been dying to for years .. any tips for a fellow explorer is appreciated .. my typical explorer knowledge is the woods. I usually just get lost in the woods for hours. This seems as fun though !
I live in Buffalo, but a couple friends and I drive there sometimes. We put on masks and fuck around to scare people who go in there. We work at FrightWorld during autumn and this is how we train.
We actually did a video in the Saratoga homestead you can see on our channel 😁 also, the back way is open thanks to one of my relatives lol he ripped the door off that's why they put the alarm there
When I went to the Terrance Tower a few years ago in Rochester there wasn’t a way in that we saw, so we used 2x4’s that were laying on the ground as pry bars, jamming them inbetween the boarded up plywood windows and brick then just cranked on it until the plywood window cover came off. Then you could just climb in 👍
So have lived in Rochester my whole life and that building is actually called the Terrence Building. It’s a super cool building but unfortunately its days seem to be numbered for redevelopment. There are so many creepy things about it. And although other people are claiming we are western New York, anything outside of downstate (New York City and the areas around it) are really considered upstate.
Went to a summer camp in Dansville as a child. We used to go in the castle on the hill every summer in the 90's. The place was in decent shape back then, I wouldn't risk it now adays from the looks of the place
Top 4 coolest abandoned locations in western NY, and one in the catskills region. I'm from upstate ny which is north of syracuse. Fort drum, watertown, alex bay, those types of places are upstate ny. But I'll give you this, last YTer I saw with a video like this was referring the area just north of NYC upstate. Cool places though
Definitely not Upstate bro. We’re western New York. I’m in Alden, just west of Rochester and 20 miles east of Buffalo. The Niagara Falls hospital now, that’s a different story in itself…. It is considered one of the most “Haunted” places in the area! What you were hearing was most likely not people, but paranormal activity…trust me when I tell you… yes, maybe homeless people are there, but it is extremely Haunted!m
This video is over a year old but bro. There is no way on gods earth you have the Saratoga homestead as the number one spot. Even if it had a personal touch, that does not touch the top 50 places in New York. Prolly more like 100.
Ok soooo we took a trip to Rochester. Parked in one of the lots out back a ways. We weren’t there but maybe 20min before the cops showed up. They didn’t come inside. But they got out of the car. Approached the building and left shortly after. We prob coulda stayed but, we decided to just take the opportunity to go. That sucked

There was also recently a fire there so it’s falling apart pretty bad

Mt. St. Mary's is in _my_ neighborhood. I've walked past it repeatedly at 4 or 5 in the morning on my way to and from 7-Eleven. Thanks for scaring me!

The city of Rochester just announced, its is in talks to tear down the building down. Might be the last days of this building soon.
It's completely filled with asbestos

Ausable forks has multiple hidden gems. They tore down the original milk unfortunately.

Not for nothing, but I hope to hell that you have asbestos protection when you go into these buildings.
