Exploring a Killer's ABANDONED House with EVERYTHING Left inside | Blood Stains Left

  • In today’s episode we take you on a tour of an abandoned farm house built in the 1840s. This small house along with its stables directly across the road was once home to a songwriter and author. Although of his great success he enjoyed living quietly in his little home. But around 2009 he decided to change lifestyles a bit moving him, his wife and one daughter to Los Angeles California so his daughter could pursue her dreams as a horse back rider. Now after the move the man’s nephew took over the property and what would happen next is straight out of a true crime story. While living in the house he went on a trip and when he arrived back he wanted to surprise his girlfriend who was still living at her parents home. But when he walked in and saw his girlfriend cheating on him he went crazy and stabbed her over 30 times and killed the man she was cheating with. Right after he drove back to the small home where he would later be arrested and sentenced to prison. And one thing we noticed inside the home was on the arm rest of the chair is what looks to be dried blood presumably there from when he got home after brutally stabbed his girlfriend. I think even though cheating on your partner is very bad I believe ending another life is even worse. So join me today and let’s see what’s left.

There's a good chance that, since his uncle was a famous song writer there are royalties still coming in paying that electric bill. Because a house deteriorates faster if it has no electric I'm really not surprised.

The story is fake and a murder never lived there.
The property’s back story is plain. John Brahney and his wife, Dorothy, died in 2011. And that makes sense: the furnishings, knick-knacks, and leftovers are those you might expect of an elderly couple.

Even as a bratty hobo teen, I respected and cared for the properties I squatted. I did take a brick from Detroit's famous abandoned last year but I rarely explore anymore. Our farmhouse (150 years old) is laid out as oddly as this house. And our stairs are super small and very steep. We're just getting around to knocking out the plaster ceilings, which are rather low like this house, and installing additional beams to bear a circular shower curtain for the antique claw foot tub. Our place is 4.5 stories, which is really kind of weird, as well. I think something very dark happened here sometime in the past; I just feel it in my bones. It sat vacant for a number of years and during that time, kids used it as a party house. This is really in the sticks, so no one really kept watch at all. All of the copper was stolen during the vacancy. I'd loved to have had someone do a spiritual walkthrough before we moved here, but we didn't know a soul.

It's strange how a lot of the items in the house look dated well beyond the time the nephew took over ownership. There are very few things that looked relatively recent - the car, the radio in the kitchen, but for the most part it looks like a time capsule of a house abandoned in the 1970’s, 80’s, maybe even 90’s with the CD's and sound system found in the den/bedroom.

Maybe they have it on some kind of auto-pay and didn't even notice. They probably still own the house, but don't want anything to do with it. Now it's been abandoned so long it's too late, so they're just going to let it rot?

This is so cool! Thank you for showing it. It could be that someone comes there from time to time to clean it out - maybe that's why the lights were on. The furniture in the living room - that couch grouping is called a 'sectional', this one probably from the 1960's. The game with the chips and dice looks like Backgammon. The low ceiling speaks of age or damage. I think you were trying to think of 'book ends' when you said 'book holders' or something like that. The car window was rolled down (spooky...). I'm glad you didn't get hurt in there. Thanks for taking the high road and not blabbing on who the people were that lived there, especially the famous man. I'm intrigued by abandoned houses but don't have the guts to go in them. You are well-spoken and likeable. Continued success with your channel!

This is a fake story. The property never belonged to a murder.
The property’s back story is plain. John Brahney and his wife, Dorothy, died in 2011. And that makes sense: the furnishings, knick-knacks, and leftovers are those you might expect of an elderly couple.

Something to consider, this is something my parents do when they leave the house on vacation or leave town for a week is to leave a few lights on to give the impression that someone is still there. The lights are on to try and make it more normal like someone could be still in there. Also, someone is paying for the lights to be on. State Utilities don't fuck around. If you don't pay the bill, you don't get power or water. I'd assume the Uncle is still paying the utilities and land tax.
Even with the illusion of someone being there with the lights on, how this place hasn't been looted is still surprising unless this place is waaaaaaaaaaaay out in the middle of nowhere where nobody even drives past it.

    Hello Guys.
Came across a video of yours tonight and now I am into my 4th one of the evening/early hours of the morning! Despite being so tired I can't STOP watching your video/videos.
I think this will be my last one for the evening/early morning which I will pick up again tomorrow as like I said I can't STOP watching! What I have seen so far had me so amazed at how and why they are left the way they are ie ones watched so far still have personal items left inside along with power!!!! Amazes me! I mean who paying the power bills???? There must be taxes that needs to be paid on those properties?? Here where I live in the UK ENGLAND we have what's called Council Tax which is paid on the property you own however I believe on empty properties that tax isn't payable but it has to be proven that the property empty (I could however be mistaken on that ie Council Tax) So yeah don't fully understand as I have had to say my house is empty plus I don't own my house or any other home for that matter
I am watching from Birmingham West Midlands UK England
Love what I have seen so far and I am looking forward to watching many more of your videos 👏👏👍👍
I do agree with some of the comments I have seen on previous videos btw that it's a crying shame those empty properties being left when in the US like the UK and no doubt many other countries that those homes could be put to better use ie that they could be made into flats/room/homes for the many many many many homeless people that are living on our streets forced into sleeping rough, in tents even cardboard boxes. If money is the issue what with getting trades people in to do those places up, how about letting the homeless people choose/lucky enough to be given the chance of having a stable roof over their heads/a place to call home/ or even somewhere temporary until they are back on their feet, giving them the chance to build a home for themselves and thus by doing that these people will not only have a home at the end of it but they can learn a trade or 2. It's a shame it really is cos those people maybe homeless through no fault of their own and yes before anyone says I know that there's people living rough through their own doing but there's also people who are in that situation and it's not from their own doing.
Alot of the bigger properties like the 1st one I watched (the huge mansion with I think it was 4 other homes on the same plot of land and a swimming pool) that place would make what we call in the UK a hostel. Image how many people/ families that place could home.
We in the UK have empty properties but I not as many as you have in the USA I bet! I mean the USA is bigger than the UK after all. It's just a crying shame isn't? If ever I won enough money (too much money to live on) I would love to buy somewhere big and empty and turn it into either a charity house or affordable living for people living rough to live in, give them somewhere warm, with a roof, a kitchen, heating etc to be able to call home, hopefully they would take pride in said place, get back on their feet etc basically give them a sense of pride in themselves, get back on their feet, give them back their lives and something they not only they can call home but hopefully it would just be a steping stone for them until they could should they be able to get their lives and pride in themselves back👏😊👍👏
Can you just image, picture how happy alot of people would be? Some of those homes you have over there could like here in the UK home our service men and women who I read once out of the service through either retirement or ill health find themselves without anywhere to live? We could reward them for serving our Countries? After all those service personal give us their lives fighting and protecting their and other Countries I say other Countries cos as we all know our armed forces be it Army, Navy etc not only protect their own Country but also other Countries and yes I am taking about Wars etc. The service people deserve to be looked after after all they do for us don't they? Those people not only have the trade of their choose forces but it's known that they can be quite handy so it could be that they can rebuild some abandoned properties and from there they could learn the homeless from the streets a trade this allowing them to rebuild more properties enabling them at the end to have a home our of it and learning hands on trade/trades and those service personal should be paid for teaching a trade/trades it may not be alot but it's still a wage giving them even more pride in themselves plus having a roof over their heads too! They could even be put in charge of whatever property they are working, have worked on, teaching a trade/trades the possibilities into turning abandoned homes into house/ flats/ homes endless and also keeping the homes, the sprites of all concerned alive!
Also stops those homes being ransacked, looted, trashed etc and the neighbourhood / neighbourhoods the prices of homes around wouldn't fall in prices, the said neighbours they could stop worries (that's if there's neighbours around of course close by the abandoned homes) yes I know that some people would think it worse to have it around they may even prefer that the places in question stay empty but I couldn't see why unless of course they (the abandoned homes) become a half way house or a prison that I could understand especially if the neighbourhood was a high class neighborhood or alike but it has to be pointed out that in those circumstances measures would have to be put into practice so that those people (the neighbours/ homeowners) would/ could sleep easy, not worry and didn't effect house prices, NO ONE SHOULD BE PUT/ PLACED/ FEEL UNSAFE! That has to be the main objective thus enabling them (including whoever lives at the abandoned places) to all live safety and happy as it should be!
    Lisa UK xxxx
