My window is whole window not like yours, opens sideways. I need to remove the whole thing, not sure how to use a plexiglass for the rest of the window.. I guess too much work and also more difficult to cut stuff without tools

This might be a really stupid question but what was the use for the bottom 2x4 ?

I’m forgetting… but I think it was because the crank was sitting too high and would hit the a/c and also just helped the a/c sit more flush and not of the sill directly. I don’t think it’s 100% new esary

what kind of lumber did you use?

I think it was a 2x4 on the bottom and some plywood cut to size on top.
