At the age of 26, when he ascended to the throne, Sultan Suleiman aimed to build an empire more powerful than Alexander the Great and to render the Ottomans invincible. Throughout his 46-year reign, he became the greatest warrior and ruler of both East and West.
The young Suleiman received news of his succession to the throne during a hunting party in 1520. Unaware that he would be ruling a reign beyond his dreams, he left behind his wife son and took to the road with his close friend and companion Pargali Ibrahim to reach the Topkapi Palace in Istanbul. As they started their journey overland, an Ottoman ship set sail from Crimea in the Black Sea, bringing female slaves as gifts for the Ottoman palace… On this ship was Alexandra La Rossa, the daughter of a Ukrainian Orthodox minister, taken away from her family and sold to the Crimean palace. She had no idea that she would become Hurrem, wife of Sultan Suleiman and mother of princes, ruling the empire with him through bloodshed and intrigue.
As Sultan Suleiman conquered the world, his great passion for Hurrem would clash with his love for and trust in his closest friend and advisor, Grand Vizier Pargali Ibrahim, all set against the backdrop of the tension between Christian Europe and the Ottoman Empire in the 16th century.

These poor women whose only way to better their situation was to produce sons, then have to fight to protect them only to see them killed by their brother.

The quality of the show really went downhill after the writers made Nigar Kalfa fall in love with Ibrahim and keep betraying Hurrem. They were really awesome as allies.

The Actresses are women, so it can be hard to remember Hurrem was eighteen in this moment. And seventeen when Mehmet was born.

I don’t know who is more arrogant mahidevran or Hatice

Eh, in this specific case I'd have to go with Mahidevran since Hatice's actions here are, comparatively, what is expected out of her as a figure of high rank within the harem. It's not strictly kind, but she is, for once, scolding _both_ women since fights such as these were forbidden under the policy that disorder in the harem could provoke disorder in the state.

After her mother's death, Mihrimah took over Hürrem's role as an advisor and companion to Suleiman, moving into the Old Palace (the seat of the harem, unlike in the show) to remain close to him. She was the wealthiest woman in the empire in her time, made up of the revenues from her own properties, her husband's wealth granted to her after he died, and what Hürrem left to her in her own will. She used these funds to become a great philanthropist (building two mosque complexes in her name and one in her husband's name) and to fund both of her brothers-she initially supported Bayezid for the throne, but would loan money to the Imperial treasury to aid Selim as sultan.
She never used the title of Valide Sultan since it wouldn't be appropriate for her to do so, but she _did_ manage the harem under Selim's reign. Unlike in the show, there's no recorded evidence of her being in rivalry with Nurbanu, who she actually worked together with on occasion. It was her daughter, Ayşe Hümaşah, who'd go on to start a faction opposing Nurbanu alongside of Safiye, but we have no idea on whether or not she was following her mother's will posthumously.
She's, overall, recorded as the greatest princess since no other princess was ever accorded the same power and influence that she achieved during her life. Such was her influence that her daughter got to use the title of "sultan" rather than the traditional "hanımsultan" for the daughter of a princess. In fact, descendants of her dynasty, the Mihrimâh Sultanzadeler, were still alive into the 20th century.

She became valide sultan of empire , the title was given to her by selim. She lived in topkapi palace and in valide sultan apartment. She was the richest and most powerful dynasty sultana in history, she outranked haseki nurbanu which is another proof that she was a legal valide sultan with all powers and authorities. This was probably the wish of the later valide Hürrem sultan and Selim fulfilled it. There was peace in harem. When Selim was gone, mihrimah sultan moved to another apartment but still stayed in topkapi, she had so much influence in harem that nurbanu couldnt do anything to safiye sultan. When mihrimah sultan passed away, nurbanu focused on safiye sultan.

And her full title was devletlu ismetlu mihrimah valide sultan. She never went to old palace even when murad became sultan. She rarely used the title of valide sultan as it was not necessary, it actually belonged to hurrem sultan even if she wasnt there, very few times only she used it. But most likely everyone called her like that anyway
