If it's made by a large corporation, yeah, they are. That goes for store-brands/off-brands of the same products, and if you do a little digging, a ton of things people buy that seem like a smaller brand on their own is actually owned by a bigger brand "parent company". It all goes up to the top, to the 1%. Shop locally when you can.
Tobacco companies - "I don't think our cigarettes are dangerous enough" "Should we put some Asbestos in them?" "Will that make them more dangerous?" "Yes" "Let's do that then" "Ok"
I don’t trust any advertising at all. I took Marketing 101 in college and learned all about the deceptive practices and how advertisements are built to manipulate people, some even have subliminal messaging in them. Plus every single ad just screams fake to me, even the ones that try hard to seem like “real life” still scream fake.
The ad that said most doctors surveyed smoked Camel didn't say it was good for you . Just that they smoked them. The kids reaction to the pool slide is priceless.
They were still using medical professionals to sell the product so they were still practically implying that it was ok. They could have said they were smoked by celebrities, or any other person of notoriety. They knew what they were doing.

If they are blending a bunch of fruits, then there will be a lot of sugar (depending on the fruit of course). They said “no added sugar” not “no sugar”…unless the nutrition label clearly shows “added sugars” on top of the natural sugars.
I was appalled (Shocked and disgusted) and mad myself. 😱🤬😡. That wasn't right that the Lawyers got the bulk of the money. The bulk of the money should have been reversed. Customers should have gotten like $500,000, Lawyers should have gotten the $20,000.

Science has advanced since then though, and formula has changed along with it. Ironically, it's the fact that Nestle's case was so commonly known that causes people to repeat the exact thing you're saying, unaware that modern formula is very nearly indistinguishable from breast milk.

Actually, Sunny Delight got away with misleading advertising for years, their drinks had no ingredients that needed refrigeration for preservation before opening.

Do people really think a footlong sandwich coming up an inch short, or some bullshit claims about a shoe, are worth inflating the earnings of blood sucking lawyers, or wasting taxpayer money to host petty court cases? The type of sugar that is added to food is usually the unhealthy type, while the sugars that are present in the food by default are fine. Just make sure you drink plenty of water to help flush your system. Also, the chemical composition of the sugars make a difference in how, as well as how quickly, they are processed by the body. Fiber and vitamins also helps slow the absorption rate of natural sugars.
In health class we had to watch that “Fed Up” documentary and one kid pointed out why we’re given donuts for breakfast if most food is unhealthy. Our health teacher was like “But it’s got vitamins and nutrients in it” acting like school food is any healthier (which it isn’t). Thanks Michelle.

That wasn't false advertising unless they added sugar apart from the sugars that came from fruit. I thought people understood this. It's always good to read the label, though, no matter what.

I’m slowly getting more and more into wholesome foods and cutting out anything processed from my diet. No sugar added does not mean sugar free; it just means that all sugars present occur naturally in other ingredients, and it turns out fruit juice contains A LOT of sugar.

5:25 attorneys should've just filed the lawsuits themselves instead of trying to make it look like they tried to help anyone but themselves. $500 isn't worth the time, gas, attorney fees, mind numbing court proceedings, etc. With $520,000 it should be a crime to only give five grand to the customers the lawsuit was about.
