@@jq2ndaccount True, and also, before they actually add the acorn tree, they need to make actual night backgrounds first. The ones we do have right now look empty and almost 2d-looking, which looks really bad and weird, especially since the snow in NSMBU is at night.
Some of the items in the background are 2d textures layered behind each other, so that's why some of them are extended off the screen so far because some of them are reused
What is the chance, that, say, I made a full length 90 level game in SMM2 that took me just over 3000 hours, you could showcase even just a random level from it? I could really use some exposure (I have no friends that would play them and no way to market it, being my channel is not geared towards that content); I have studied Nintendo’s course design for 5 years and I have carefully crafted levels every night after work with old SMM blueprints and new designs. If the backgrounds are that much larger than they actually seem to be, why can't we have longer and bigger sub areas? I mean, why making these extra long backgrounds if you're not even going to be able to see them in game?
