This was definitely the direction Kiss Me Once would have went without the interference from roc nation and sia, i'm so glad it was actually released in 2012 as part of the K25 anniversary, this single deserved more push and promotion, the remixes are so good too.

It's very interesting to think what Kiss Me Once would've sounded like if they had kept this dubstep/heavy EDM, almost industrial sound of songs like this one or Skirt. Eventually we got a taste of that on the album in form of Sexercize but in general the album leaned more towards synthy, disco-y tracks, with some elements of Europop and tropical house sprinkled throughout.

The album was principally made for DJ's possibly but perhaps someone near to her with power told her the sound was not a good choice or outdated
I don't mean that the sound is outdated I just mean that this is my theory

KMO came too late in her career I think 🤔. I don't know-maybe if she hadn't succumbed to cancer in 2005 maybe back THEN it could've been the next stage-she would've had the appetite for it....................
