is topbillin' love a reworking of phony lullaby that then got turned into another song? i compared them both in audacity and the ending portions have the same exact kick sample, they're so similar that if you invert the ending snippet and align it up right with the ending portion of "phony lullaby" it leaves almost nothing but high end fuzz which could just happen bc it's compressed
in fact, the drums themselves seem to be the same exact too. even if it's made by the same producers i don't think they'd just accidentally use the same drums as the other song
ok so i did more digging, there's evidence of a second different demo that cathy dennis did for "sweet dreams my L.A. ex" that sounds extremely close to the one in this video (similar vocal takes in both choruses and prechoruses, similar mixing, etc.) but she's singing the chorus of "sweet dreams my L.A. ex". the only proof this demo exists though is in a mashup someone made in 2011 of the demo and the final song which doesn't have cathy singing the final song's chorus in full. heres the link to it - th-cam.com/video/qLXJ9QsNtF8/w-d-xo.html she only sings the later half, and not even all of it. the uploader layered the last line of the cathy demo with the final one by rachel stevens. do you know where the full version of the second demo can be found?

It was recorded by Rachel Stevens (From S Club 7) and they renamed the song "Sweet Dreams My LA Ex". They also changed the chorus.
