I am going to purchase the tarp/ shelter that you used. I like how you did this without drilling holes, etc. Thanks so much for supplying this information.

You’re quite welcome. I didn’t want to drill anything either!!

I like it Stimulus! And look who IS a videographer! You did a great job 😊 It’s for shade mostly anyway so the gap isn’t the point 👍🏻

I blame the gap on many enjoyable trips - the bungees got worn out.

Nice setup! I might try this. It looks like you could rig a small bungee to the side handle of the dormer to elevate the tarp above the door.

Yes, I would agree and will try that this weekend when I head out.

Instead of the small bungee in the center have you considered using something like a metal shower curtain hook. That would certainly hold the awning closer to the camper making the gap smaller.

Hey! The bungees were what I had at the time. I tend to think that, when the wind is whipping the canopy around, the bungees might help. They’re actually starting to wear out a bit and will try clips to see what happens.

This is a great simple solution! Thanks for posting it. Do the bungees rub on the roof panels over time?

Thanks for the kind comment. To answer your question, yes, they do rub in high winds. The bungees have a cloth outer liner and have not damaged the roof, but there are rub marks. I’ve thought about putting those styrofoam cord covers on the bungees, but think they’ll just fly away during some storm.

Can you add a link for the tarp you used? Also, do you know the size of the tarp?
