eah, he's flexing. 😆 Usually it's a bed pillow inside the bass drum; It deadens ring. Looks like some type of a foam chunk on top of a pillow in the kick. You may also see a wad of cotton bouncing around in the floor tom - same thing. The element in the fill you heard were some buzzy 5 stroke rolls. It seems to be a favored rudiment, he uses it around the kit in different ways, but this was just on the snare.
