FYI, I’m a hairstylist. The WOW Raise The Root is also great to use on your roots when you’re blow drying after washing. You need quite a bit, maybe 6-10 sprays at your roots, but it works fantastic!! When I first purchased, I thought it didn’t work, but after hearing that you need more than you think, I realized it DOES WORK!

Bronzers that work for me, neutral leaning cool… Tarte Park Ave Princess, Laura Geller Medium Balance and Brighten.
You’re look today is very springtime pretty. It’s refreshing to hear an influencer, especially a mature one, talk about fails. So many beauty products get hyped but they don’t all suit mature skin types or are just terrible. *I have a hack for oily or dirty hair to pass on. Put a good amount of corn starch in a small resealable plastic bag and keep it near your hair station. Dip fingers of both hands into bag and coat them with the c. starch and then rub fingers on scalp and/or to strands that are oily. Re-dip fingers and apply more if needed. Then brush your hair until you can’t tell there’s any starch in your hair. Hair will be totally refreshed and fuller. Main Con: starch from brushing may fly onto other surfaces.

Melissa, I have a tip for you. I buy the small L A Color Volumizing Mascara at Dollar Tree. Boy does it make my lashes full and stand up for only $1.25 and no flaking, smudging . It comes off easily as well. Highly recommend. 💕💜❤️

I am a cool toned gal and really struggle with foundations and bronzers going orange on me too!
The Guru Nanda oil pulling is awesome! I'm still on my first bottle and my teeth have never been whiter. I LOVE the toothbrush provided in each box. It's softer than any others I have ever used. This product is a real game changer for all the reasons you mentioned.

I bought one and it had too much red for my skin tone light to medium neutral olive, don’t remember the name but it was the 3rd shade, passed it on to my daughter, shame cause it was so nice going on.
Loved your video, as always! I love the Mario lipliner, it’s so good. I have the shade Peony, perfect pink for medium/cool toned gal. It’s goes well with so many different colors of peachy/pink or mauve lipsticks! Hugs 💋
Reminded me about coconut oil pulling! I did it yrs ago using coconut oil and food grade mint oil and loved it. Have gotten lazy about it and forgotten. Going to get bk to it! Thxs for reminder. You are looking fab! I’m a cool skin tone too so I get the struggle😉 with colors of foundation, concealer, bronzer.
It's one reason why I am done buying highend myself....too many disappointments! Whatever ends up being a fail I end up finding a successful dupe that is high quality on Temu. Thank u for your recommendations because everything u mentioned that was a fail ended up being a fail for me as well. I love an honest opinion❤ and that's why I love your channel.

Thanks for the tip on oil pulling. I tried it for the first time today. My mouth feels so much fresher. I've had a ton of dental work done and use a CPAP machine. My oral health is super important to me.

I like Milani silky matte bronzer in Sun Kissed #2: it’s a cool toned bronzer. I also love the Westman Atelier contour stick in Biscuit. I use the two together. Love your hair ❤

Hi Melissa, I definitely like to hear about the fails. If it didn't work for you it probably won't work for me. My skin tone and type is very similar to yours so I appreciate your opinions and yes, you should do a makeup line for gals like us. I have the same issues with everything too orange. I love the charger you mentioned. I have had it for almost a year and the power is wonderful.
I watched Jen Phelp's video a couple or 3 weeks ago, where she showed a bunch of bronzer that weren't orange. One in particular, from Jones Road- that was called Dusty Rose- actually looked like a blush in the pan! I've always thought Sunrise from Flower Beauty had quite a rosy undertone, and wasn't as orange as others. I find myself using contour and blush and leaving the bronzer alone most days. I don't ever wear sunless tanner, so I think it looks weird on me to be all bronzy on my face. Especially in the wintertime, I'm so pale.

Hi, nice to see you looking well. I am surprised you can't find a color in the About Face Foundation. I got the perfect neutral for my skin on the first try. I havn''t had any problems with oxidation either. It is actually not a high end brand, it is on the drug store side of Ulta. The color wow looks like a must try product.
I have been using the Redken hairspray for years it’s really great!
I agree about the foundation. I tried several shades as well, and they all turned orange. I was pretty sad because I did like the finish of the foundation, but the colors were just terrible.
Im 55 with combo oily skin and really like About Face foundation. The doe foot makes for easy application (no mess on my hand), has the satin finish i prefer , and did not oxidize on my skin, also alcohol free for my daily use.
I'm so glad you shared your experience with it. We need different opinions. They really help.

You came up on my feed today. I binge washed all day. I’m retired so I could what I want now. I went through all your trials and tribulations in one day. I’m really in awe of your dedication and strength to achieve your goals. I enjoy your health updates on your liver situation. I think you should let your hubby do your makeup. He makes me laugh so much! I have to say I enjoy your fashion choices. Everything you pick out is so pretty. I haven’t seen anything you picked out that I wouldn’t wear. Let us know if your appetite improves. I’ll be 70 on May 17. I still like to look pretty. Just wanted to say out of all your hairdos and cuts over the years I like like brunette with layers the best. I just recently went from platinum to a light brunette. I’m a natural brunette so the intense bleach that my daughter had to use to get my hair platinum was drying my hair out after 10 years. I'm shocked at the about face. Try the light olive shades I've never said I found my holy grail foundation and I've tried more than 100 this one is it. 22$ is the cherry on the cake.

Love this video I was going to try the about face foundation but I suspected it would be a mess every foundation I have I put in the shade finder and it gave me shades all over the place I am light cool, it tried to tell me to order olive was going to go in store but oxidation is a no go. Excellent video! I want to start the oil pulling as I have had this odor in my mouth since I got a bridge and I know it’s bacteria That’s trapped in there somehow that a toothbrush or floss can’t get to, and the dentist hasn’t been a whole lot of help.

I have gone naturally gray and I use the Pravana Blonde toning purple mask all the time to keep my grays nice and bright. It really is great for the brassys.
I have tried and tried to use the curling irons that turn and just cannot get them to work for me. I know it’s user error but just cannot use them.
Hello Melissa!! I've been using the Blithe 8 beans essence and the tundra pressed serum since last year, I got mine off Amazon. Now my pressed serum is 1.69 oz, it has a little scoop inside and it aggravates me, lol, it will fall out every time I open it, it's clear, and it will never just fall near by, lol. I don't know why I don't just leave it out, I just like keeping it all together. I got another one too, it's apricot.
They have 2 more I think, I recall seeing a value pack of smaller versions, and there were 4 different ones, the 2 I already have and well, I don't remember the other 2, lol. Anyways, I like a little colored eyeliner too, I'm gonna have to look into those L'Oreal ones. I just ordered 2 by Kiko Milano off Amazon, blue and emerald, marked down to $3 each!! I don't think I've used them before, arriving today. Alright, I've commented too much, lol, love ya!!💛
I make chaga tea as well as mix it with cocoa for hot chocolate. It is wonderful! I have been using it for years and years.

I just through my dusty rose in a large container out ( not sure if it was considered bronzer or all over face?). My daughter bought it for me. Doesn't ever dry down.

Hi Melissa. I don't understand why manufacturers lean orange on their foundation.
I have the WOW mouse, but I should really try their Raise the Roots. I'm curious to try the new Tarte tubing mascara. But I'm looking more for volume than length. Essence really does have some great products. I'm warm toned, and yet, I do find most bronzers to be too dark and muddy!

I'm pretty fair, but with warm undertones. I prefer a lighter bronzer. A few times, my oldest daughter has actually grabbed my face and started blending the bronzer in. So, now I go in with a softer color. You have a wonderful weekend too. Happy Easter❣️🐰🐇🐣o@MrsMelissaM

I’m shocked about the About Face foundation because I ran out to buy it (went to two Ultas!) as soon as I heard that they had true olive shades. I’ve never, ever, found a better shade match than the F2olive - including Dior, Haus labs, etc. I loved the texture and coverage and have worn it every day I’ve worn foundation since I got it!!
I'm so happy to hear this because we need different views. And that it works for your olive skin is wonderful because I know that it's so hard to match that.
