disclaimer: you have to use the eARC HDMI port to your TV / monitor and it has to support Bluetooth, which is not always the case. This video wasn't helpful to me...
Bought an external Bluetooth adapter for $10. Didn't work on the ps5 because I needed to install software- the adapter was made for connecting ps5 controllers to a PC. Felt pretty discouraged connecting my Bluetooth earbuds to the ps5. Then I realized I have a Bluetooth soundbar connected to the tv. So, the most easy work around for me was to connect my earbuds to the smart tv and use the ps5 like usual. Definitely over thought this problem!
@@i.f.q.e.z You can use controller mic ofcourse but the problem is that you will hear voice chat of other players from controller speaker not on your bluetooth headset. Because the headset is connected to the TV and not the PS5.
If I'm not mistaken I hear players talk through the TV b4 don't remember how but if we can go back and do that so when you pair through your TV what ever comes throw the TV you would hear that through the headphone and then goto setting on ps5 to mute the output volume on the controller and only allow input for you mic on the controller
Yeah you have to use adapter, I got playstation pulse elite headphones and I still have to connect the ps5 to an adapter I got with em, they don't connect without the adapter..
Sooo... Just going to say your video title is false information... NO, you cannot use ANY Bluetooth headphones with the PS5 without an adapter... They NEED to be COMPATIBLE with the PS5 or you WILL NEED an ADAPTER.
An easy way to use ANY non-Sony certified headphones through your TV. Just plug into the TV and that's it, no problem. If you have an old TV without bluetooth, then only an adapter.
I bought the dongle today and it works great on my airpod 2nd generation original but i noticed when i go and watch netflix or listen to the PlayStation background the sound cuts in and out a lot of the times. Don’t know if it’s the type of ear buds that i have but it’ll cut out.
so basically this video is full of shit. the guy is saying in order to use 3rd party bluetooth headphones (in my case skullcrushes), you need to connect them to your phone FIRST. then download playstation remote play on your phone. after that just simply connect your ps5 to your phones remote play. turn off your phone or flip it over so you won’t see the gameplay on there, then enjoy the audio your headphones are producing while watching the game on your tv 😂

Just buy a third party Bluetooth transmitter, plug in the back of the PS5, pair, and go from there.
Gots to get that dongle cuh!!! USB pairing dongle will work!
Doesn’t ps4 headphones connect to ps5?
Can I use my Sony Linkbuds S on PS5?
Try it
@playstady it doesn't work saying your device does not support it. It's funny.
@@KhangNguyen1I'm starting to notice the same thing, even Sony branded head phones don't work. Only ones marketed to work with PS5 work. 🫤
Bro I have a Sony headset and I can’t connect I DONT KNOW WHY
Simply follow the procedure shown in the first part of the video. Sony headphones should appear in the device list.
