    I love how railcannon feels and it's nice to just be able to delete a big thing while your other means of killing them are on cooldown, but I do think it should have a way shorter cooldown

      Especially now with how much more vulnerable heavies are. Currently it feels like the Railcannon has no purpose or identity.

      Should keep CD, & make it a salvo of railgun strikes. Maybe make it like laser with limited uses, but make it a heavy delete screen wipe type thing. Just merks 5 to 7 of biggest threats on the board

      I usually use it to save low level teammates from certain death against hulks/chargers/titans on lower difficulties, but anything above 6, it's about as useful as a brick, considering most players know what they're doing at that point.
      The cooldown is WAAY too high on it for sure.

      I do like the railcannon but I feel like the targeting priority needs to be reworked. Throwing a railcannon strike at a hulk and watching it obliterate the scout strider next to it is something else.

    Even against bugs with the 500KG buff, I think Eagle Airstrike is S tier. 500KG is situationally better at closing medium nests due to the roundness of its effect, but the airstrike has such a huge and controllable line of damage, and you get to call in so many of them. It also potentially outputs more damage, being able to take out a spore spewer or multiple segments of a shrieker nest in one go.

    I've really been enjoying the basic stratagems, like Orbital Precision Strike and Eagle Airstrike. They're so simple and effective in the right scenario. Glad to see you like them, too.

      I've been enjoying the Strafing run a whole lot more after the patch. I am consistently wiping out entire patrols with it as long as I catch them at a good angle.

    Eagle Strafing Run - ‘B+’ Bots
    - It will take out Fabricators
    - You can aim it
    - You get 5 of them
    Walking Barrage - ‘A’ Bots
    - Just one will take out Command Bunkers and most forts
    - You can aim it

    I'm finding the Strafing Run feels a lot better after the patch than it used to. It could be the armor changes, but I feel like it is way more consistent in deleting any medium and lower enemies in the damage zone. Between it and the cluster bomb, I haven't gone on a single bug mission without one or the other.

    I do find it weird that the glizzy gladiators complain about a primary weapon getting a buff to kill two more warriors a magazine.
    But when one orbital kills 3 bug breaches alone, they sleep.

      @@OhDough Remember it's cannon that throwing a 380 into a super base is far higher skill than fighting your way in and calling a hellbomb on the detector, which is why you don't get one.

      so true i hate the helldivers subreddit for this reason. its full of the toxic positivity people. you have any kind of opinion you get downvoted to negatives.
      some dude said he was gonna try his first super helldive today. i told him to do bugs for his first cause their the most balanced right now. and bots have bugs as they can shoot through walls right now. the devs even acknowledged this in things to be looked at.
      i got down voted so hard lol.

    People gotta understand his list comes clearly from a 1 man team version of this game. Thats why everything that doesn't kill instantly immediately becomes worse. If you play the game casually with 4 players, even lvl 10, theres theres way less stuff thats feels genuinely terrible because you dont have to take 3 high damage stratagems.

    One of my only criticisms is I think orbital gatling should be higher vs bugs. The last patch made it *way* stronger in general, but it was already A/S tier to me. The cooldown is so low that it can be used for multiple things be it clearing a spewer group or just making space to breathe and it can also cut down lots of the 'chaff' in the begining of a breach, espetially if it's just the one hole, I've been getting arround 40 kills with it per use doing that recently for example. The patch also made it much more effective vs heavies espetially impailers and chargers- if a charger gets caught in most of the duration it will die and if not it's usually really weak to the point that primaries with DoT will usually kill it from most angles. It's really all in that super low cooldown, it gives it really strong utility.
    Also side note about bots- gatling has that same usefulness vs bots now but it *is* a little weaker *except* if you want to use it to clear fabricators on a low c/d which it can now do. I would probably personally put it in c tier. Oh and eagle strafing run, which vs bots I actually think is B tier- I was able to get it to consistently kill fabricators in one pass which given the number of uses you get I was finding super convenient. I was also having decent luck vs things like hulks and turrets but I didn't test that super thoroughly so results may vary. Haven't really tested it on bugs yet either

      You are completely right everytime I see a bug breach I throw Gatling on it get a ton of kills and the cooldown is good

    I don't know what everyone is smoking, but when I use the 380 barrage dead center to take out bot outposts, mortar nests, bases, etc, it does the job like, less than 50% of the time. The other 50%, I have to physically enter the base and destroy the remaining fabricators, and there's usually multiple left still alive. And I got ship modules maxed out. 380 is INCONSISTENT!

      Not a 100% guarantee you will get all the fabricators, but you will also destroy a lot of units cannons and open up the area by destroying the structures. Really really useful if you notice 4 dropships coming in. Also I rarely use it without the extra throw distance. But I guess if you really want to clear it gaurenteed wait a bit and then throw an orbital laser.
      You will be solo clearing all the massive strongholds.

      380 is a teamkilling tool, nothing more. I stopped using it because the radius is just too big, leaves massive holes within that radius untouched and your team will either get tk or you will be tk by one of your mates that throws this callin. Its utter garbage. Id rather place a couple of sentries on a hill kind of in an overwatch position and then throw some smaller orbital. You clear way easisr.

    You're having a bad dream putting gatling barrage in Weenie Hut JR vs Bots. That moment with a dozen devastators at 10:41 in this video, gat barrage clears that while you sip tea. And a 60 second cooldown? Good night

      He's doing the same with the orbital airburst (for bug front), it's the "anti-spewer", kills chargers if you stun grenade them first, and can technically ANY enemy on the bug front charger and below. I can go on, but it'd be too long.

      or you take cluster and you can take the entire map THEN send eagle back for resupply ~120 secs cooldown for 5! uses
      same reason i dont touch the airburst, cluster simply has 3-4 time the use-case

      @@IRMentatI get that, but that doesn’t take away from the value you can get from Gatling barrage. If it had maybe 1.5x the fire rate, I’d say it would be in a much better spot but it’s still high B, low A for me considering if an eagle fails to kill a titan, gatling barrage will finish it off along with chaff advancing in its direction. It can theoretically solo chargers, but primarily soften em up to finish with any other support weapon. It’s not the best, sure, but it’s not a wheenie hut jr tier stratagem. Oh Dough is just salty he got banned after these last two tier lists he put out. And this is someone who was defending him not that long ago.

    Hi Dough! Thanks for the tier list! Yours always help me get a good vision for all the stratagems and give me insights on building newer loadouts, I appreciate your effort in making them!
    I do, however, disagree on the lower placement for the eagle rockets. I believe them to be especially viable against bots, because they can very reliably kill tanks and turrets in one use due to the angle of attack and AP.
    In my experience, these are valuable to bring in chaff clearing/crowd control builds as a form of alternative big game eraser. They fill the lack of single target damage, cut down on target volume for your AT teammate (who might already be busy with many hulks) and help with spear ammo economy.

      This tier list should not really be followed. Eagle rocket pods crack heavy armor to the point a primary can finish it off. Gatling barrage can soften up or finish heavy units that are damaged and even be placed on breaches for some value. Oh Dough has been smoking something cause these tier lists are not good in my opinion

      I find the Eagles being way less reliable against tanks post-patch. There was always an effective difference between the classic and shredder variants, but now even classics seem to take 2-3 strikes to kill. I used to need just 1 most of the time.

      Gas should be used like ems/stun. Pro of gas is it clears out smaller mob. Pro of ems is they actually stay still. Quick call in and shirt cool down makes it B+ borderline A-

      If it was realistic, you wouldn't even see the cloud. You would just start bleeding from your orifices and then choking to death while your body spasms uncontrollably. This is one of the more pleasant ways to die from Chemical warfare.

    As cursed as it might sound. 110 and rail cannon have lower cool down than they seem because you're able to use them on the extended call in modifiers. Which means everything else you're running has better cooldowns. (Because you're not doing +25% cooldown). So sure it's got a 180 cool down, or it doesn't finish things off, but you effectively get 1 rail cannon strike every two precision strikes that have 95 seconds to cook off. Or better yet, you get a LOT more eagle 110s than anything else in the game. And with the changes to support weapons, they pair great with nearly everything.
    Also you can also use them to kill bile chargers in their cloud, or blind fire impalers.
    Not mandatory, not perfect. But they have a lot of uses outside of DPS.

    Now that fabricators have health, the gatlin barrage will consistently destroy 1 or 2 of them, making the gatlin even better than it already was after the buff. Also throw it on dropship landing to take out pretty much everythintlg it drops

    I like the idea of what they did with the gas change, but the went about it wrong. Imo they should have tied the acid rain planet modifier to all gas weaponry (ap1 reduction), and made the gas armor IMMUNE to toxic planet debuffs plus gas damage reduction.
    Also, if they want gas to be weaker in dps, it should’ve been compensated with duration. Example: 50 dmg and durable damage but 6 second status application (guarantee death of trash mobs upon application).
    The confusion aspect is cool, but I think a booster that made all applied status effects apply confuse (or better yet panic) would’ve been a better direction to take.

    I think giving the rail cannon strike the same cooldown as an EAT would be nice. Make it a toss up between two precise, targeted AT shots, or one unaimed but quick response AT shot

    As someone who uses railcannon strike against bugs, I can confirm that 3:45 is absolutely true. I use railcannon strike to save my teammates from situations they get themselves into and also sometimes kill impalers that are behind cover. Its the fastest way to remove a bile titan or impaler from any angle without accidentally blowing up my teammates.

    I would put eagle strafing run at at LEAST rank C for it's ability to buzz up fabricators from any direction. Same with Orbital Gatling barrage.
    Rocket pods belong in at least C as well, due to it's use case being a tank killer, not a hulk killer. Or a tank turret killer, I should say.

      Strafing run is also very reliable against tanks, 50/50 on Hulks, and you get five strafing runs to the Eagle resupply. I've started running it a lot more recently and it's growing on me. Bothers me that it's super reliable on Impalers but almost never kills a Charger, though.

    i like this bugs list tbh, although i think the strafing run deserves b tier purely cause of the amount you get. if we only got 2 or 3 uses that makes sense, but you get 5 before you're on cooldown. that's enough to break the armor on lots of chargers and bile titans (and kill them if you feel like using multiple for one target) and kill 5 impalers. less chaff killing potential, but then you consider the shrieker and spore spewers and it goes up big time. it does have chaff potential for sure, but only if you're willing to take the time to round up all the lil'uns into a line behind you, which is hard when you're being completely swarmed. is great in helping w chaff in a pinch tho since it's got such a short strat input.

    The gating barrage on bots is a good tool to stop patrols and bot drops from advancing onto you, it lasts a considerable amount of time and can totally block some chrome points while you deal with bigger targets.

    I find the 500kg wildly inconsistent. The extra radius is cool but when terrain absorbs my blast it’s no fun. I prefer the normal airstrike seems more consistent in what it does even if less spectacular.
    I think there’s also a lot of room to place stuff differently here depending on support weapon choices. For example Christmas tree Gatling thingy does great against chaff and is ready every bug breach and not every 3rd or something. If you get rid of the small stuff, the big ones are usually easy enough to take care of.

    I accept the trade deal.
    On the gas strike honestly they should make it that gas causes bugs to attack closest thing to them, is it a bug ? its bug vs bug, is it a diver ? they just keep going after you, so after you drop that thing on a breach the things that walk out of that should be only the largest bugs everything else gets friendly fired by them

    The walking barrage is S tier imo.. for both.. giant nests you send one up one side and drop 380 on the other side.. you will get atleast 80% of the nest..

    I take 500kg+p strike always when I’m being serious, works on both bugs and bots. P strike has been my go to since I started playing the game, 500kg has only made it onto my list since the AoE buff, since then it’s a must pick. I take p strike over airstrike because it has an independent cooldown and you can toss it out at the same time as a 500kg for double taps.

    ngl, putting the orbital gas strike under c is nuts imo, because that cc giving you time to breath can be a very welcome change
    sure, the gas grenades do the same, but i love the gas rework, especially combined with a flame weapon!
    and yes, i do think it doesn't fall under the geneva convention, and instead is a geneva suggestion, considering we are not fighting humans

      Gas strike under C is something I disagree with entirely.
      Yes, it's not as dominating as it was before, but it confusing enemies is REALLY useful. Especially against bile spewers and hunters.
      Need to run away in an encounter? Use it to get enemies off your trail.
      Taking a stand? Use it to cover your flanks.
      Wearing gas armor? Throw gas in a nest for an easy clear. Same with objectives.
      And the cooldown is all but negligent.
      It is still one of the BEST chaff clearers in the game, and having one on the team, is always a plus.
      It's at least a B.

    I'm only at Level 7 difficulty but the Rocket Pods have been my most used Strategem. I don't have to worry about a Bile Titan walking away from it unlike a 500 KG or Orbital Precision, and more often than not, my teammates will have put enough damage into it with their Strategems where I will still have 2 Rocket Pods left to use for another heavy or a Spore Tower. I may need something different by the time I can get to Level 10 eventually, but that along with the Arc Thrower and Laser Backpack are giving me great runs on Terminids.

    I take 110 rocket pods mainly because orbital precision strike doest stick very well to enemies from my experience of throwing stuff

    I don't agree with some things on your list, but I definitely agree about the airpods; the problem is they are so inconsistant, but not just depending on the angle of the hit... It usually can destroy an automaton tower in 1 shot. Not from the back or side, when it targets you, full front. But somehow sometimes it takes 2. And it's not because it targeted something else; the tower is hit, is damaged, but still alive. I don't get it.

    This seems pretty fair to me.
    I would place walking barrage higher only, you can use it to destroy bunkers and stuff from 100m of where the throw lands fairly consistently.
    The increase in enemy health made strafing run unable to one-shot towers and tanks, also OGS which had its damage lowered and is now outclassed by gas grenades.
    ERP got buffed, but 3 uses is just not enough for what it does.
    OGB does gave the potential to scale with multiple teammate throws, unlike E-Napalm S and OGS, but on its own its not impressive.

    Orbital rail cannon on bots is actually good on bunker missions. It will put a bunker low enough to get taken out by one RR shot. I take it instead of taking a bunch of mandatory barrages and lasers to kill bunkers

    Man, I played a Helldive mission for the first time in a while, and I get it now. I don’t usually play that high because I don’t find it fun, but it’s legitimately a whole different game. Man you gotta step down to 6’s and 7’s and try some of the things you think are pointless because they don’t pen heavier armors and they’re only good for horde clears. At the mid-high difficulties you really do get actual hordes. Just whole patrols of just troopers or just hunters and pouncers. Medium armor pen isn’t a do-or-die thing at difficulty 6 or 7.

    I think walking barrage is fine where it is, I do think it's better than 380. It's a LOT better for bots, but it's generally just used to clear out nests/bases from a great distance which can be nice especially to avoid those annoying tiny blast turrets.

    the rocket pod deserves to be higher. It has 3 uses and cool down is super fast. Combine it with any damage dealing orbital strike and eats and you never have to worry about medium and large enemies again.

    Walking barrage is only good in some aspects. I bring 120, 380 and walking barrage for bots.
    If you have the fortress, find the highest point, Aim the walking barrage at it, as high as you can throw. It'll clear up to the middle section of the fortress. Then you just have to clear the rest with other strats/methods. It's pretty handy.
    In terms of using it when in a pinch, throw it closer to you rather than throwing it far like the 120/380. You can expect it to "walk" forward. The cooldown on walking barrage is more similar to the 120 than it is to the 380.. hence it's pretty decent.

    Strafing run is great. Takes out fabs, tanks, turrets and weakened hulks. Great when storming bases. Don’t have to worry about friendly fire either abd you get 5 applications. It’s slept on

    I'm not mad they changed gas strikes, but i loved having what amounted to 2 napalm strikes... Definitely made sense tho, status needs to be distinct when there are only a few.

    I've been running 380,120, 500kg, hmg emplacement. Crossbow, laz pistol, thermite. Can take out basically everything bots can throw at ya.
    Hmg especially useful at takeing out alot of gunships. Pick up team weapons whenever possible.

    From what ive noticed the Lazer and the Railcanyon lazer pointer target the same however the actual Railcanyon shot hits slightly above where it targets you can see this if your on the edge of a map and the angles steep if you throw Lazer the it will hit BTs between the legs making it bad but the Railcanyon you'll see the red lazer pointer between the legs but it will hit the BTs body and will somtime oneshot it and if you trigger the BT to rear up the Railcanyon will hit the head 1 tapping it

    Now this is a teir list I can get behind! Just wish we had a gas orbital barrage that functioned like the napalm barrage. That and a little bit more love to the rocket pods would be great. Dunno how they could fix the EMS and Smoke orbitals. The only time I take EMS is on Nursery Missions if they don't bug out. But then again I just take stun nades.

    I find Laser to be good as a "fuck that and everything" button but the cooldown make it really worse, limited use too but, i don't know if we should give it not limited use because theses feels actually strong when used, maybe with ships upgrades in the future, i don't know

      I never waste a slot on the laser, but when someone else on my team brings one along and tosses it out as we're getting overrun by hordes of chaff, I really do appreciate it.

    I believe the cluster bomb deserves a higher tier as its really good for clearing bug brwachs or other stuff as it has 5 uses and the mob clear is pretty much like napalm but better imo as its more consistent

    Honestly I do not like walking barrage as I find it mostly brackets the enemies as very few shots hit in the center line, it also moves forward too quickly (walking barrage is intended to move forward at a walking pace so that troops could walk behind it) and ends up sending shots way the hell in the distance. Honestly the arty barrages all need more total shots fired (Except for fire, fire is good).

    OPS got a bit whiffed when its AOE damage didn't get buffed enough to keep up with the heavies' HP pool increase. The margin of error got smaller for near misses and not killing heavies like chargers consistently by AOE alone

    Orbital Laser is A tier vs both factions at least. Possibly even S tier. It clears out so many mofos that explosive stratagems tend to miss. It could singlehandedly do more work than the 500kg bomb.

    Gatling Barrage will always be in my list every battle the cooling down and the ling fire rate over a bug call is brilliant. Airburst i wish had 4 shots it looks and sounds so good. Im disappointed they nerfed the Gas Strike clearly they did that based in META data
    Haven't used Orb laser in months

      i haven’t played bots yet. but i throw thermite once i call in 110 rockets. that combo always kills. if no thermite i can finish them off with my auto cannon

    All barrages should be as fast as the napalm one and maybe get them all down to 3 minutes.
    Railgun and laser reload fasterno usage limit.
    emp, smoke, laser, gas... need more coverage and duration.
    Rockets need just double missiles to guarantee a kill strike.
    Also more bullets for gatling/ straving.
    And get rid of max usage on mechs.

    Everything I generally agree with except two things.
    Gas strike on bugs is better than before on average. Yes sometimes bugs will escape faster bug most of the time they will stay longer inside and it makes the gas strike really good in combination with other weapons/stratagems as a way to hold a choke point.
    Other thing I massively disagree with is walking barrage on bots. Maybe it’s only really good on higher difficulties (especially 10) where the fortress/mig bases are so massive that it’s hard to throw the other barrages deep enough to actually hit the entire thing. Because of the fact this thing moves forward it’s effective range is insane. I have thrown one of these on one side of a fortress and an orbital laser on the other half and that alone cleared the entire fortress. Sure in terms of area control against bot drops and group of enemies it’s a little weird to use but in destroying large objectives it’s S tier imo.

      I found out that it leaves them on like, 1 HP. One grenade or something like that should do the trick, at least for Spore towers.

      I had thrown 2 500kg at the same shrieker nest and it finally broke when I got angry and just shot an Erupter round at it just to see if it works.
      Not sure what they were doing but you used to be able to clap all three with the 1.

    gas strike literally gets 20+ kills on every bug breach, sometimes it kills up to 40 bugs by itself (hunters can jump out of gas and survive tho).

    I'm always a fan of taking the walking barrage in tandem with the 380. The 380 has a much greater randomness to where each shell lands so while it's good at covering a broad area, there's no guarantee that it'll hit what you want. That's why I tend to throw in the walking barrage at the same time: its shots are much more predictable and can walk from one side of a bot base to the other.
    It might seem like too much to spend 2 stratagems with a long CD to take out one lonely outpost, but it also means that most of the units in that base are going to be deleted - even the big ones.

    Nonono, correction. Thermite does not only deal big damage to Factory striders. A well placed thermite to the neck takes it out with only one grenade.

    Once again i’ll advocate for the unmentioned utility. Gas strike has mild demolition value so it can destroy fabricators, but it’s hard to do so, and detector towers and regular bug nests if you don’t want to waste a thermite and are out of GP ammo. Eagle Pods and Strafing run are fantastic “armor break” weapons, many times like 70% of the time Breaking open armor for a Plasma Punisher or a handful of Autocannon shots, or a pair of Grenades from the GL,to kill a BT or Charger Behemoth in the exposed flesh. Giving you in an Ideal situation, more Heavy killing potential of number of Heavy enemies w Primary/Support weapon synergy. Cluster Strike can destroy Bot fabricators from the right angle, although, tbf, ocassional use, but you get more uses than Airstrike. Combining Gas Strike and Napalm stacks a lot of DoT like Crazy, as the gas makes them stand still while they get open air Sous Vite’d.

    EMS should do permanent damage to a freaking robot. it literally is THE way to fry electronics, thats the whole purpose of it. Make it insta kill low tier trash and stuff like marauders and the normal stuff like strides and devastators, and perma damage for like 50% for the heavier enemies besides the ems effect of stopping them moving and shooting. thats how it would be great, and make gas do more damage to the bugs to even it out, its not so bad to have a bit more specific weaponry vs one faction or the other imho. that will make you use more of them depending on what faction you are facing.

    1:38 Incorrect. The gas does cause them to attack eachother on purpose. If you use any of the gas weapons on them you can watch them do a full 180 and go after something behind them. They may still attack you if theres nothing closer but they dont just blindly attack things, the "blindness" is just the games way of explaining why both bots qnd bugs would start attacking eachother because some kind of mond control agent wouldn't work on bots, and something that changes programming wouldn't work on bugs. Blindness lets them say "ah they heard something or returned fire after something hit them first."
    Tldr they do actively attack eachother.

    i run the same thing every game and only change my support stratagems and primary for between bots and bugs. for any faction, bring grenade pistol, and incendiary bombs (the one that doesnt impact). and for stratagems the precision strike and gas strike. now for primarys i want a weapom that doesnt eat ammo and can be spammed w/o much thought. bugs, the shock shotgun, and for bots the sickle (used to be the scythe). now the support stratagem for bots are bubble shield and mega laser beam. this bot loadout takes out any threat with ease. you might need some extra help for the bigger guys tho but most run 500 kg, so youre usually covered. for bugs, quasar and the laser drone. you can take on anything after the bile titan changes with this loadout. just KEEP MOVING! dont get swarmed. as long as you kite youll be good. thats my loadout. fight on helldivers!

    Walking barrage is A or S tier against bots. Toss it into a heavy outpost or fortress and it will take all or most of the fabricators

    I have found the reworked gas to be pretty good vs bugs and bots
    you have a patrol that is heading to your objective and cant dodge it?
    gas strike it
    kill heavy for free
    with your support weapon or thermite grenades
    chaff die to the gas
    use your primary to deal with the mediums
    its a great piece of utility on a very low cd
