For people who are on the fence between different sizes and styles of carry systems, always opt for the most comprehensive, yet simple system. You save cash in the long run. I have a 2 part system. I use a cheap 20 liter for my daily driver. If I'm carrying only EDC and a macbook air 13, I use the 20 liter lightweight nylon backpack. Most of the time, I'm carrying the 20 liter backpack. If I'm in work mode, files, books, laptop, works stuff, I use the classic briefcase large (usually during the work week, or if I'm working on work-related stuff, I use the classic large). I never treat the classic large like an EDC. I use it as my work toolbox/daily kit, if you will, and it excels in that capacity. Obviously, many people use the classic large successfully as an EDC, but I don't need it to do that for me. I'm happy with the 2 part system. Try it out. The 20 liter can also fit into the classic large, if I need it to. Also, vast majority of the time, I'm using handle carry. Classic large is like a portable office to me. I don't want to carry my office with me everywhere I go, everyday, just those days when I'm working away from the mission control center.
+Roland Aujero this made perfect sense to me! I'd ordered the medium and large thin FPBC, and the medium fit my frame perfect but objective was to be an "office on the go" and not an EDC. Thus I felt I needed more capacity. Your reasoning makes me feel better, that I'm not overdoing it by going with the full size vs thin FPBC. Thank you for articulating so clearly and logically!
Nice review of the FPB. Not too many videos of one on TH-cam. I agree that even though it was a 25% off DD, it looks awesome! Nothing really that stands out as faults. However, I think the reason why it was marked 25% off is due to the "Saddleback" logo on the front strap. It looks very light. Seems like the logo wasn't pressed in very well, and I guess because that's something that you can spot from 10ft away, it's a 25% DD. Which I think is a non-issue because it makes the briefcase look like an old-logo briefcase, and so it just looks completely normal.
What did Saddleback say about the leather color issue? I've also noticed that the edges of the newer briefcases lack color but the older bags have color throughout the edges.
I have experiences where water damages the leather that I possess. Does it do to Saddleback products too? I am limited in the knowledge of leather in general so please bear with me if the questions is too basic. Thanks! :D

Hey Kiley, question, why did you go from the thin front pocket to the regular? I’m trying to decide between the two. I’m worried about the thin being to small. But I’m a smaller guy so I’m worried about the regular looking to bulky. Any thoughts from you would be really appreciated!
Nice video, I debated between the classic and front pocket for a long time. You should totally email them about getting a matching keychain for your bag. I did and they sent me one for free!
