  • Introducing Our Biggest and Most Expensive Briefcase Ever
    Hmmm… a global recession, record unemployment, people not going to business meetings and a presidential election just a few weeks away, the outcome of which could bring vast economic devastation the likes of which we have not seen in our lifetime. Sounds to me like the perfect time to launch our largest and most expensive briefcase ever.
    The Barrister’s Briefcase is what we call it. We thought that sounds way better than The Lawyer’s Briefcase or The Attorney’s Briefcase. Some are just calling it the Large Flight Bag.
    So I have taken some time to show you how the Barrister's Leather Briefcase compares to the Flight Bag, The Large Classic Leather Briefcase, and the Front Pocket Leather Briefcase so you can figure out which one is right for you.

    Dave I love your briefcases and bags. Just bought the Barrister as soon as it dropped. I have more briefcases than I can use now, but think Saddleback is the greatest thing I ever discovered--truly.

    I'm a litigator and looking for a new leather bag. I was considering Clegg Leatherworks, but very much like your product. They only issue I see is with the bottom of the briefcase. I'd like to see five brass/stainless steel studs on the bottom to protect the leather. One on each corner, and one in the middle. And get rid of the d-rings on the bottom as well. Not necessary.

      Having used a Saddleback briefcase for 10 years, I can assure you of this: The leather doesn't need protecting. Cheap leather needs protecting, full grain leather looks better with use, even on the bottom of the bag.

      Personally, the d rings are more of a style accessory for me. They work as feet though to protect the bag. I've had a front pocket for.... 6 or 7 years and use it every day. There's no noticeable wear on the bottom of the bag at all.

      You walk in here and tell someone who's run a successful leather company one of their iconic features are "unnecessary" - lol.

    I love it, I thought I already had your perfect bag and then you go and out do yourself. Very good video. I'm still working on getting your waterbag. It would be helpful to see a video like this about your water and duffle bags, especially size comparisons. Great job as always. Thanks.

    When my nylon brief bag died a too soon death, I purchased the Square Back backpack to use as my attorney brief case. Think durning a brief case 90 decrees. It works fine even for going to court. I would have liked an exterior pocket on the back though. I like having the ability to carry it like a regular brief case, carry it over my shoulder, or if needing my hands free carrying it on my back like through an airport. (I have bag 001 / 010) I gave a flight bag to my son who is a Navy pilot flying the Navy's version of the Boeing 737. He does like the ability to open it and it stays open. Old time pilots had reams of map booklets. He has an iPad with maps. But he fills the extra space in the bag with his headphones. From the looks of it this Barrister is a whopping sized bag.

    really like the look of this bag. I wish it didnt' have any of the pockets inside. I sell employee benefits and could use a bag like this to carry enrollment folders to give out. Inside pockets for me just get in the way and collect junk. I LOVE my front pocket briefcase and all my other Saddleback stuff, but would love a 2nd bag for meeting materials. Someday...

    I really want one of your briefcases but without all the D-rings. Let me know if you ever make them without.

    • @garmbeliblis
      @garmbeliblis 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You can cut them off after you buy the bag, but give it at least a month before you do, maybe you'll like the design after all. There's nothing quite so annoying as needing to tie something to the outside of a bag and having nothing to tie on to.

    Dave...I think the closure strap doesn't have to be like that, no need buckle with several holes...because the mouth is framed, fully load or not, the mouth is still closed like that. Maybe you can change it with quick release enclosure. Only with one hand to open and then waaaaaw...the mouth is open.

    Your leather looks like a mix of both Chromium and Vegetable tanned.
    I have a both your front ID wallet, and your small portfolio.
    And the leather feels and acts like a mix!
