You are saying two different things in two separate videos about the same product! Please don’t confuse your followers like this!
Exactly
If you listen neatly in this video he’s saying that niacinamides as an ingredient is beneficial but only upto 2-5%. But the ordinary solution has 10% which is too strong and not recommended
@@justwhatever2970 yes, its true, he said about the percentage of niacinamide, sometimes good things in excess are causality of bad results.
Yes exactly.. he definitely should have used a different product that was a lower percentage! I actually just saw that other video earlier today and when I saw this, I was like.. wtf? Lol
@@justwhatever2970 that’s in the *other* video.. not this one. He doesn’t address that part at all in this one. Are we watching the same thing?😂
This video is confusing a lot of people here. It's not that 10 percent niacinamide won't work or it won't hv it's benefits. But the concentration might cause purging in a lot of people. That's why it is advised to start at a concentration of 2-5 percent. Also, most clinical studies on the affects of niacinamide on skin have been done using 2-5 percent niacinamide. So it's probably your best bet. But if after months of using 5 % , u still feel it didn't work, u can upgrade to 10 and see if it works for you.
I'm using 5% for 2 weeks frm now and i kinda notice more acne than before but I'm not sure is it coz of plum niacinamide serum or mamaearth green tea extract face wash as i started both kinda together but I did patch test for both I didn't get any diff when I did it on neck but on face I get tiny bumps and pimples what should I do?
Apparently it shouldn’t according to another TH-cam dermatologist
I’m using this exact one and I have very sensitive skin and I’ve been fine so far but I’ve been using one or two drops in my moisturiser so it’s diluted and then once a week before I moisturise so my skin can slowly get use to it.
I also use vitamin c serum in a low percentage as well.
It’s definitely improved my skin a lot.
I'm using 10%Niacinamide Booster Serum by Simple followed with the Simple moisturizer. I used it for 2-3 months after which I switched to Vit C, which was really not a good decision as it just made my skin more sensitive and dry. Again switched back to the OG Niacinamide and I can surely tell it really repaired my skin barrier within a short span . I'm 25, and don't have major skin aging problems as such but niacinamide really does smoothen out my skin. Never going back to any other serum
I also started using it but it doesn't show any result on my skin so i stopd using it.... Which niacinamide u use can u please tell?
What’s with the caption doc? You were telling not to use niacinamide 10% ??? @.@ I’m confuse
I’m thinking the same thing.

I am so proud of you.
In another video short you say that The Ordinary’s 10% Niacinamide is a horrible choice for your skin! Which is it? Good or bad?
He's saying that the ingredient is good but the percentage in the ordinary's serum is too much and may be irritating.
I just saw that short the other day, if I'm correct I recall he said 10% is going to wreck the skin barrier but that a good amount is 3-5%
I used ordinary niacinamide serum my face so dull and dark
Doctor ordinary niacinamide serum my face so dull and dark what reason sir

So which is better for anti aging, niacinamide or retinol?? Anyone....
Retinol is top tier
Both niacinamide and retinol are valuable skincare ingredients with potential anti-aging benefits, but they work differently, and their effectiveness can vary depending on individual skin types and concerns.
1. Niacinamide:
- Niacinamide is known for its versatility and ability to address multiple skin concerns, including fine lines, wrinkles, and uneven skin tone.
- It can strengthen the skin's barrier, improve moisture retention, and reduce redness and inflammation.
- Niacinamide is generally well-tolerated by most skin types, including sensitive skin, and is less likely to cause irritation compared to retinol.
2. Retinol (Vitamin A):
- Retinol is a potent form of vitamin A and is highly effective at reducing the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and age spots.
- It encourages skin cell turnover, stimulates collagen production, and can lead to significant improvements in skin texture and firmness.
- However, retinol can be irritating, especially when first introduced to a skincare routine. It may cause dryness, redness, and peeling.
The choice between niacinamide and retinol often depends on your skin's specific needs and sensitivities. Some individuals use both in their skincare routines, but it's essential to introduce them gradually and use sunscreen during the day as they can make your skin more sensitive to sunlight.
Consulting with a dermatologist or skincare professional can help you determine the best approach for your unique skin concerns and goals. Additionally, individual results can vary, so what works best may differ from person to person.

nice info 👍
Thanx for sharing😊
As a pregnant person, niacinamide is better lol. Retinol can cause birth defects and is harsh on skin.
I would 100% prefer to use niacinamide.
Best Prodect. Please share. My skin is so aging
10 % niacinamide from ordinary give my sensitive skin worst breakout 😫
Sometimes that happens apply a small amount or try the 5% one

Hello Doc.. Can I use Salicylic acid and niacinamide serum at the same time.. and how much gap between the two serum..?
Yes, you can, but please be aware that using both salicylic acid and retinol together is not recommended, as salicylic acid can counteract the effects of retinol. These are potent ingredients that may lead to irritation, especially if you have sensitive skin."
@@sunflowerbloomsxx thank you and how much time gap should I leave between the two serums.. And which one shall I apply first salisylic acid or niacinamide?
Hey i ordered ordinary niacinamide 10% serum on Flipkart but the bottle colour is black its original or duplicate please reply
I use this thing 7x a week, probably 11x a week, and if I could use it 14x a week, i would xdd
Can we put it under our eyes?
Aren't you the one who said not to use 10% niacinamide
I ordered it but my serum made in Italy not Canada anyone tell me it’s original or no (made in Italy)
You said to use it or not? Each video of this product you are saying sth different
Hi, he doesn't contradict himself. In one video he says that niacinamide is a great ingredient. In this video, he says that the ingredient is great the Ordinary's 10% niacinamide is too high and can cause irritation. Therefore, he says that a lower percentage of niacinamide is ideal.
mujhe chaye please 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 btaey kse mgwa sakte hai sir please 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
I think it’s better niacinamide consumed orally
This is in contrast to his first review on that product.
I am 19 and was thinking of start using niacinamide for my acne. Can I use it?
Acne should be treated with benzoyl peroxide
@@Skynfyx yes but niacinamide is a nice ingredient to include in your routine for acne
My daughter is using benzonyl peroxide currently no more bumps but how to remove acne scars
I'm very sensitive in benzoyle peroxide 😢 it irritated my face and it became worst 😥😥😥
U sure his a real derm? Niacinamide from what I’ve seen in clinical studies and trials doesn’t increase collagen synthesis.
❤❤❤❤❤
I’ve also seen niacinamide called nicotinamide too.
Yes, niacinamide is indeed also known as vitamin B3. Niacinamide is one of the forms of vitamin B3, and it is commonly used in skincare products and supplements due to its various potential benefits for the skin and overall health. It can help improve the appearance of skin, reduce redness, and has been studied for its role in promoting skin health.

Oh come on! Say one thing clearly
Are u a promoter of skincare products? If u are real then do a study on how really these products wrk on skin and whether these products effective or not.. as far as my experience is that there not enough proper studies on efficacy on almost most all skin products especially ones you apply on your face that reduces wrinkles , scars , collagen this and that, other than word 'may help'.. its all marketing tricks..
What's wrong with you??
Does it have the same effect when we take niacinamide/ vit. B3 orally?
Same thought.
Please doctor review skin care Eurin brand , serum for reduced dark spot. Is it good ?
Please put rotine for my dry and sensitive skin
Dry and sensitive skin should go for non irritating ingredients
Guys!! He is saying that 2-5% of niacinamide is ok but THE ORDINARY contains 10% which is a lot!! Or maybe yours contains a lot...so he is technically recommending to use 2-5% ones...THANK ME LATER!!❤
I don't use the Ordinary niacinamide 10% because it's too strong. 5% niacinamide is working wonderfully😊.
So whenever u like it’s bad and whenever u like it’s good ,like I been watching ur videos all day u confused me fr😭😭

Which is better for bigener 5%or 10%
Definitely Start with 5% especially ordinary’s niacinamide I had already used ordinary’s 10% niacinamide 3 years my skin was clear n glowing but when i repurchased after few years it didn’t suited me n just broke me out i took a break of 1 year n repurchased the product again now I’m experiencing purging n it just broke me out again. I really don’t know what’s wrong I’ve stopped it since few days😢
5%. But I started using the 10% and im wondering why im getting some purge. And i just continue until my skin is ok with 10%. Less Oily and brigthening effect. Wanna try niacinamid3 15% of cosrx hehe
@@billie5057 I can attest to this - it DOES. I was so shocked; all I had been hearing was niacinamide for acne, aging, etc. Well, The Ordinary niacinamide made my acne flare like CRAZY. And I'm WAY too old to have an acne flare. LOL
@@Reeaktme It's not a "purge" - don't you understand? 10% is going to continue to make you break out because you're obviously prone to acne. SMH lol
@@LillyBunnyBoo really? Im using 10% niacinamide. Started 2020 until now 2022I didnt break out. My skin is not too oily anymore and brightens up skin. At the end of the day, it depends on your skin. And my pores got smaller compared before.
It's breaking the hell out of me and I don't usually break out.
