I don't think wales were bad.. Wales played well today keeping us busy the whole time. Probably one of their very few great performances against South Africa. They know we suffocate them all the time

The kicking strategy by both, especially by the Boks. As a Japanese, I was happy to see that there was little change in the strategy by the Boks -- kicking and then blitz defense to rucks. It seems to show how much respect the Boks paid to Japan.
@@kfitzs2335 Probably not confined to Japanese but all fans around the world, a losing nation tends to cheer up for the team that beat them in style, don't they? However, we also apparently have huge attachment and respect to Eddie Jones as well for his having been Japan's HC in 2015 RWC in this particular case. Hence overall, I feel many Japanese including myself are cheering both. I am personally looking forward to the final of highest quality, hopefully with drastic tactical changes on the Boks side -- I hope to see much less kicks.

Agreed. It's not a popular opinion, though, but I reckon the SA v NZ semi in 2015 was close to the game of the tournament. It wasn't flash or "pretty", but it was two seriously good teams playing seriously good rugby.

To the average fan this game was boring, to a real rugby fan, especially those who the support these teams, this was an intense edge of the seat game. Current 6 Nations Champions vs Rugby Championship champions. As a Bok fan I was scared to face the Welsh but deep down wanted the clash to see how we would stack up against a top tier Northern team. This game was tougher than the final for us.
Kfitzs yeah, I don't disagree. For me, England also hasn't been the most consistently exciting team the last 3 decades or so. But there is some hope it can be exciting, as England have shown glimmers of exciting play recently, and South Africa was playing very exciting rugby this season before the world cup, having gone unbeaten in the Rugby Championship. So here is to hoping for both teams to show up with some intent to play a good brand of rugby. But I still favour England to win this one, based on recent performances.
Springboks definitely won't "smash" them, as England's forwards are way bigger and more powerful than South Africa's overall (with the exception of a few Springboks here and there). But South Africa's forwards and backs are slightly more agile and explosive (as shown in the Rugby Championship before they changed their style of play for the World Cup). But then again, the Springboks' outside backs, specifically the wings are notoriously weak in defence. So essentially a double edged sword. If the Springboks win, it will most definitely be against the odds. They will have to play in a way to nullify England's forwards and rush defence, whilst somehow finding their own way to break the English defensive lines and win the territorial battle. They will have to play out of their skins as they have done against the All Blacks the last 2 years; which shows they dó have the ability. Or perhaps I am just spewing nonsense as an armchair critic. Which is very possible.
Ntsiko Deneo proud of what, you played Italy and Namibia in the group stages, the easiest pool there could be and have it easy compared to England, who have had Australia, New Zealand, Argentina, etc

I got a lot of love for the All Blacks, but they were dreadful! If you put them in Scotland jerseys you could have fooled me. It's like they completely forgot how to play rugby for the day. They made no attempts to kick the ball for territory, which is highly unusual for them, and then because of that they spent the entire game pegged back in their own half. Congrats on the win. This SA team has to be one of the most physically imposing teams that I've seen. So dominant on the scrums and mauls.

James O'Sullivan just give credit to the English because they prevented the AB’s from playing their game and pinning them down for the majority of the game. One mistake cost us 7 points but we were dominant. SA’ on the other hand, scrape through games mostly on penalties

Springboks definitely won't "smash" them, as England's forwards are way bigger and more powerful than South Africa's overall (with the exception of a few Springboks here and there). But South Africa's forwards and backs are slightly more agile and explosive (as shown in the Rugby Championship before they changed their style of play for the World Cup). But then again, the Springboks' outside backs, specifically the wings are notoriously weak in defence. So essentially a double edged sword. If the Springboks win, it will most definitely be against the odds. They will have to play in a way to nullify England's forwards and rush defence, whilst somehow finding their own way to break the English defensive lines and win the territorial battle. They will have to play out of their skins as they have done against the All Blacks the last 2 years; which shows they dó have the ability. Or perhaps I am just spewing nonsense as an armchair critic. Which is very possible.

I got a lot of love for the All Blacks, but they were dreadful! If you put them in Scotland jerseys you could have fooled me. It's like they completely forgot how to play rugby for the day.
They made no attempts to kick the ball for territory, which is highly unusual for them, and then because of that they spent the entire game pegged back in their own half.
Congrats on the win. This SA team has to be one of the most physically imposing teams that I've seen. So dominant on the scrums and mauls.

James O'Sullivan just give credit to the English because they prevented the AB’s from playing their game and pinning them down for the majority of the game. One mistake cost us 7 points but we were dominant. SA’ on the other hand, scrape through games mostly on penalties

Bernard Welff well done for getting through today, but Boks still making too many simple handling errors and giving away possession cheaply with all those box kicks. Rassie really needs to have a plan if the Boks are going to have any chance of beating England next weekend.
Not sure 50% will be enough. Not sure the Boks have what's needed regardless of how much they improve. England looked ridiculously good in cruising past the 2nd best team in the tournament - a team that ruined SA in the opening match. You never know though so should be exciting.
