Wales just got outmuscled. They looked better than SA with the ball in hand, but they lost the collisions because the SA players were too strong, that forced them to give away penalties. De Allende should never have scored that try, awful defending from Biggar, fair play to him though, he saw the gap and went for it. What pains me about this game is that Wales could've won it, they were more creative with the ball, they somehow stayed mostly solid defensively and until about the 73th minute mentally they were strong. South Africa won the game on brute strength, fair and square. Good luck in the final!
As said, Wales usually *do* beat SA. Wales could have won thw championship for sure - just like English soccer team back in 2002. SA seem to have the best mauling andcombined tackle ability. .
South Africa had a 93% tackle success rate. Wales did have every chance to take this win as they clearly had more flair but against a defense which is that effective it's a real tough challenge. Hardest game apart from NZ - Wales was really really good. Champions, beat England Twice - all in the past year. This is rugby championship champions facing off. Tight game, tactical and lots of kicking.

Wales were the only team to score a try past SA in the knock out stages and the only team to be within a score at the end of the match. This game was much better than the final, real edge of your seat game for 80 minutes.

After watching this match several times you can see that South africa is weak from the sides.. 🤔 The center is very strong but sides are not as composed and that will cost us against England

And Eddie Jones said he is going to expose our weakness, maybe he meant that. I also feel like rassie played smart cards by excluding cheslin kolbe in the semi final.. He wanted him to fully recover and fit enough for final. For me kolbe is Rassie's spade preserved to revolutionize the Game in the final.
The wings cut in to defend the outside centre. It stops the opposition dead in their tracks if the are fast enough but does leave you open out wide.
Hopefully Kolbe will be fully recovered. We certainly not afraid of facing England they fvcking know that too.
