Thanks man, that works perfectly. Been frustrated with this for a while now and theres a bunch of people banging on about updating graphics drivers and/or windows drivers, which is a joke as everything autoupdates anyway. You have made my day, thank you 🥰😍
Great to Hear! Yeah, updating the drivers is actually the opposite of a fix here, since the new Vulcan driver/SDK broke it. Reverting to older ones would actually be more likely to fix it. haha

Hi, i dont have any settings for some reason and i've tried pretty much everything at this point even downloading the settings file of a friend and changing everything to fit my pc. Do you think there is another way to fix it without the ''settings'' file ?

@@justjohn991 try the solution I found (prob newest comment posted here). Worked for me and I had the same problems as you two. It was in a steam forum discussion and dated a couple of months ago by whoever posted it, also said all the other solutions werent working anymore.

When I edit the file in VSC and start the game, the system.xml file gets deleted.
Edit: Had to recover my original file from cloud and right click -> edit to change the file. VSC no work

I have a horrible glitch in Red Dead Online when using DX12 where everything looks foggy or smoky and bad. I've looked up fixes but it seems it only effects DX12 users, from what I've found. I would like to try using the older Vulkan api and see if that works, but how do I do that? I'm sorry to bother you with this, but I don't know anybody else that can help.

I dont have the settings file come up when I go to do this. I just have the "profiles" file come up instead. Any ideas on that? (Will be looking into other fixes in the interim, but thought i'd ask since you have a decent grasp of this issue)
Check my other video labeled default settings file. It’s got the settings file as a download.
@@MikeTheTech Will do. Further update, in the iterim I tried a file to fit and cahnge things to DX12, but it doesn;t seem to have done anything and the error persists.

i'm crying.. when i change to directX i'll get errors on an RedM Server so an Admin needs to Teleport my Charakter that can take at least 2 days because of all the tickets they get..
or i'll change to Vulkan and my PC freezes and i get the GFX error or need to hardforce my pc to a restart .. Q.Q

When i go to the red dead redeption 2 folder, theres no setting folder, only profiles
edit: eneded up having to create my own "Settings" folder, downloaded someones system.xml file off the RD PC subreddit, changed the name of the graphics card to mine, changes the screen resolution to mine, and changed Vulcan to dx12 and it actually fking worked. FU rockstar that yall havent patched this bs
