I think, Rob, one of your last comments was the one that crystallized everything for me, when Chrissy was asking you if you could say it's nice to retire here in the Philippines: "I'm happy to be here with YOU." Yup, a match with a woman like Chrissy would make ANYWHERE worth living. Period. A partner who's willing to grow a relationship based on love and mutual respect, who's thoughtful and mature enough to know herself and to know what it will take for her to commit, to take chances. So the last 5 minutes of this video covered a lot of ground. I'd say, people can do all the homework and research -- that'll help keep you safe. But to succeed in life, really that takes two people with "the right stuff" coming together. Again, congrats to you both, and thanks for trying to show us the ropes.
Great interview! Chrissy is great interviewer. I got a lot out of it. I have been there a number of times and the best part are the people, the spirit of the people, the joy they have, the stress less lifestyle, the lower cost of living, amazing natural beauty almost unmatched anywhere in the world, and the beautifully young Filipinas. I’m not sure I can actually live there. I am an adaptable person. I’ve been to China alone many times since 1989. On my trips to the Phillipines I have met amazing Filipinas that could be great partners. That was easy (no online dating for me). It’s the reality of getting around and things that are not smooth many times a week. I took the bus from BGC to Tagatay and it took 6 hours! It was supposed to be 2. That’s just one example. Security guards telling me wrong directions. Understanding under the surface what is really going on with people. It may be my final destination. I’m not sure yet. Malaysia, Thailand, Siem Reap, Ubud, Da Lat, Da Nang, and other destinations in SE Asia are very tempting. I explored beyond TH-camr recommendations and explored myself. I found English spoken in all these countries. It will be the adventure of my life after a lifetime of successes in every way. I agree with deciding to expatriate. If I hadn’t made bold decisions my entire life this would be hard. Thank you again for your efforts!
Both of you are well spoken and appear to be comfortable and happy with each other. You make a nice looking couple. I wish you many years of happiness together.
I’m glad you mentioned your diet because I am the same way. I don’t like eating the garbage that is in the food supply. I like eating fresh foods that are not prepackaged or processed foods! Good to know there are diet options there. Plan to move there in a couple of months!

Hi Chrissy I'm married to a bueatyful filipina from the province. She's from Sibonga Cebu. I was 60 and she was 30 with a 4 year old girl. That was 6 1/2 years ago. Very nice interview. You and I are similar temperament and age. I tried Philippines a couple times. Loved the people but could not take the bad food, uncomfortable transportation, bad air, typhoons destroying infrastructure, trash and garbage, noise, and lately high prices. I think the northern Luzon mountains would have worked for me, but then a typhoon destroyed the roads and so could not follow my plan to motorbike the region. . . You mentioned that maybe you and Chrissy would move to the States for five years so she could get social security. My understanding is when you put on her finger then nine months later she would be eligible for Social Security Survivor benefits and if you adopt her child then they would also get survivor benefits after you die until they are 18. If you and Chrissy are married for ten years then at 62 she would also get half your SS benefits even if you are still hanging around at 97 (I figure maybe, just maybe I have till 87 at most). So come back to the States if you want to live here, but not needed for SS benefits. She would need to work a good many years to make more in SS benefits than half your total. If she teaches here then she might be on a pension plan which has its own benefits, but complexity depending on the state, with SS. Check with a tax firm that deals with expats to be sure.
Great video! I'm 31 mins in and I believe I just heard you say that Chrissy can work for 5 years in the U.S. and be eligible for Social Security - is this correct? I was thinking if I'm fortunate enough to meet a Filipina I would bring her back to the U.S. if I could so she would be eligible for Spousal benefit once I was gone. I need to research this topic in more detail so that if I am fortunate enough to find the one for me I can leave her as well off as possible if and when I expectedly go before she does.
Thanks for watching and writing a comment. It helps the channel so much. Yeah I would research it thoroughly. I have heard from several people that it’s possible but I wouldn’t take my own input as an authority. I admire your wanting to leave someone taken care of

The only age gap for me is 59 and 56 is I dont want my wife to die before me. I dont want her childern to die before me. The My 3 Sons all have good jobs and are older with there own famileys. + They love me so much as I love them. Respect is so much. They know how much I love there Mother. I will make sure SHE is always aken care of.
Very good vlog my friend but your woman would need to work a total of 10 total years to be eligible for Social Security and her payout would be very paltry because the formula is based on 35 total years of employment. 25 years of zeros would be calculated into her payout. OUCH. Have you considered just contributing monthly into the Philippines Social Security system for her ? There are several calculators on line that estimate what a potential SS monthly payout could be if you wish to bring her to America but you also need to factor the cost of Medicare B and supplements for medical , dental and prescriptions. I have my degree in Economics so I have a tendency to obsess about these kinds of things.
Interesting. I thought it was 90 days for 5 years, then qualify for minimum and you can have part a/b deduction removed as well. I will look into ph system thanks

Thank you for that very informative video. I have a lot in common with you. I'm 66 years old, have 3 kids an 6 grandchildren. I live in Europe and am searching for a nice filipina preferable from Mindanao. The only difference is, i don't want a huge age gap. So i think it's harder to find a woman that fits perfectly. But i don't give up.
maybe it's just my personal experience, but there isn't much difference of "feel" in dating women anywhere from ~26-45 on a personal compatibility perspective socially. Most people have completed the majority of their adult maturation right around the 28 year old mark and they aren't going to change significantly. The only meaningful difference tends to in short to intermediate goals, like having children. For that reason I've never felt like dating a woman in her mid to late 20s was any different than dating someone more my age. Having said that, there does seem to be a lot of maturation that happens between that 18-24 age range were I personally felt a little uncomfortable dating that young. But maybe if you're in your 40s or early 50s and still want to have kids (and not raise someone elses kid) that's just kind of what you have to work through, because it's pretty rare to find a Filipina past 24 than doesn't have a child.
Serious brain damage involved in having a house built here you have to supervise very carefully and purchase all the materials yourself. There’s a channel called Texas Filipino. He’s in the process of finishing a house. He has been building and he spends every single day at the construction site and has a lot of personal building knowledge.
Careful when buying. Foreigners can not own property in the PI, so the house will be in her name. Also. there is a LOT of property in the PI that does not have a clear title, so that would involve a lot of time and lawyer fees to fix. Property is often passed down within the family. Then someone sells you a lot that does not have a clear title, then all the sudden 15 of the sellers cousins show up wanting their piece of the action, because they have just as much claim as the seller due to them all sharing the same grandparents. It is hard to find a good architect and contractor in the PI. It is also sometimes hard to keep construction supplies from walking off from the job site overnight.
Dude, scored big points with the part about, then I saw you and you were so much more beautiful than all the others. I thought for a moment you were going to do the open mouth, insert foot action there. I will be relocating to Cebu in Jan 2025. I had made up my mind a couple years ago. Now I have met someone, so it is an added bonus.
I still searching for a flipina young lady but most then of three after two days, they want money. Even some of set who are working want western union its difficult to find right one
It would be better if you go to the Philippines and look for your lifetime partner. It is best to go to the provinces but make sureshe has a job. There ate a lot of unmarried teachers on the provinces
Like me you think the family is accepting, they tolerate you because you elevated their daughter out of poverty and are available to help them financially
Sleep, Jesus hard to find in the Philippines, and good beef is really difficult but there’s lots of seafood, chicken and pork and if you shop at the big wet markets, vegetables can be really cheap
Rob, are you guys planning to have child? It is not impossible or you guys tslked about of not having kid anymore. I like the idea of you saying not to be an ATM of chrissy's family and son. But i think for that thought to happen, Chrissy needs to work. It is good that you give her allowance, but i tell you that will not be enough. You have to let her work. What if your relationship with her will not work? Just playing devils advocate here...many vloggers down there have so many unsuccessful story. By the way, filipinos can speak Taglish, fluent english it depends where you at in the Phils or broken English compare in Thailand.
I personally think you are wasting your time and energy trying to get your children and fammily to accept Chrissy, you love her , it's truly irrelevant if they don't accept her 😊

Yes, this was an especially valuable video. Those were all very good questions from Chrissy. I think some of the very first words which should be said by the man online is that he will be sending no money, and that he will plan to meet in person. This is a sieve for the man to filter out scammers and it is assurance for the female that there could be a future for her to pursue. I also agree with a reasonable amount given to her family without feeling being taken advantage of.

There are a lot of old unmarried teachers in the provinces that could fit your standard. Much better if you go there petsonally
Is Chrissy an expat widow? How is her English so good. Seems like she has lived with an expat for years.
She is a school teacher, college….
maybe it's just my personal experience, but there isn't much difference of "feel" in dating women anywhere from ~26-45 on a personal compatibility perspective socially.
Yes I agree
Another question. Buy a house or build ? It is cheaper to build if you have a good contractor , more bang for the buck.
@@justsmy5677 very accurate info
Thanks for the advise@@justsmy5677
Does 75yr old have chance?
Good chance
Dude, scored big points with the part about, then I saw you and you were so much more beautiful than all the others. I thought for a moment you were going to do the open mouth, insert foot action there. I will be relocating to Cebu in Jan 2025. I had made up my mind a couple years ago. Now I have met someone, so it is an added bonus.
Wow, thank you!
Did you have any problems from friends or family? The diet is would be hard. What are the gyms like?
Family has been slow coming around. Diet is difficult, yes. Gyms are fine but we don’t have a car so prefer not to take taxis to gym every day
Did You spend in Hawaii? Stink eye. Hehe

Don’t give up
It would be better if you go to the Philippines and look for your lifetime partner. It is best to go to the provinces but make sureshe has a job. There ate a lot of unmarried teachers on the provinces
Like me you think the family is accepting, they tolerate you because you elevated their daughter out of poverty and are available to help them financially
So, what you're saying is that Philippines is not Keto friendly? 😁
Sleep, Jesus hard to find in the Philippines, and good beef is really difficult but there’s lots of seafood, chicken and pork and if you shop at the big wet markets, vegetables can be really cheap
Chrissy has Japanese heritage ?
Not that we are aware
What is your age gap?
37
Rob, are you guys planning to have child? It is not impossible or you guys tslked about of not having kid anymore. I like the idea of you saying not to be an ATM of chrissy's family and son. But i think for that thought to happen, Chrissy needs to work. It is good that you give her allowance, but i tell you that will not be enough. You have to let her work. What if your relationship with her will not work? Just playing devils advocate here...many vloggers down there have so many unsuccessful story. By the way, filipinos can speak Taglish, fluent english it depends where you at in the Phils or broken English compare in Thailand.
I personally think you are wasting your time and energy trying to get your children and fammily to accept Chrissy, you love her , it's truly irrelevant if they don't accept her 😊
I understand
So funny how all you old vloggers spend so much time trying to convince everyone the girl isn’t with you for the money. Lol
All women are interested in security
@@FlyMeToThePhilippines Well said Rob! There is a huge difference in girls milking you for money and her needing a little security and you happy to provide it.
