I am a bit confused with your bleaching process can someone please explain it to me? You bleached twice? For how long? It says its a one day process but looks like this took longer? Thanks
Hi girl! Yes I had to because I bought the wrong type of bleach the first time.. Only lifted me like 3 levels or something and because my hair was dark brown I needed about 6-7 levels of lift.. So all you need to do really is to buy bleach that will take you up to 6-7 shades lighter (if you have that dark brown) and that´s it.. Hope that this helped you! Much love xx
Okay, understood. I love your hair and the color btw hair goals haha. How long should I leave the bleach on my hair? If I am only bleaching once? Also can you recommend a bleach I can buy here in the states? Thank you
Hey ladies! I just dyed my hair from a medium brown to a bright red with no bleach at all. I just put swarzkopf ‘passion red’ onto my hair. It turned out amazing! There is no sign of brown at all. Just thought I’d put this comment here in case anyone wants to go red but doesn’t want to bleach! It worked wonders for me!
This is the color I have been searching for, for SUCH a long time! I'm SO happy you included what the shade is actually called here in the US! So ridiculous and confusing when they do that, but I SO appreciate you throwing that little tidbit of information in for those of us here in the US! You are a gem! 🥰
Not a hate comment, I'm speaking from personal experience and trying to give advice, it's a lot easier and less damaging to use a high lift color like garnier R3, I've went from the darkest brown almost black to bright red with a high lift red dye from the drugstore, it's a lot less damaging then doing the 2 step method.
I knoooow but we don´t have the High Lift colors here in Sweden :( Like AT ALL .. I would totally use it if I had access to it! I will definitely pin your comment though because it might help someone else out :) Hugs!
Caroline Chalue it’s actually not less damaging the amount of bleach + ammonia used in high lift color plus the high volumes of peroxide people usually use with them literally blast open the cuticle of the hair just the same. With a two step process you can just feel your hair a little more dry right after but it’s better because you aren’t just forcibly pushing pigments into the hair without taking out some of the old stuff. The dryness can always be helped later. Long term when done with the right volumes of developer this way will actually damage the hairs cuticle less and the color will actually last longer as a result. With overlapping of high lift color you actually end up blowing up the hair so much I️t holds color less and less well every time
I love this outcome! I just dyed my own hair red after watching this and I have uploaded my first real TH-cam video. However, I skipped the bleach because I don't trust myself enough!
First of all, you are a GORGEOUS women and probably would look gorgeous in any hair color. That shade of red is beautiful as well. In my honest opinion, I think the dark brown hair color suits you more because it just goes better with your eyes, eyebrows, and skin tone. You look stunning with the red hair and its a nice change, but at least in my tastes I think the dark brown just really compliments you even more!
So i think you are absolutely beautiful! I love how you said to go to a salon professional in the beginning. A lot of ladies feel that they can watch videos on TH-cam and replicate the kinks at home. I'm a licensed cosmetologist and have had many ladies come in my chair bc they thought they could save some money and watch a TH-cam video. Hair is important! And you want to keep the integrity of your hair so it doesn't just break off while you're brushing your hair. Ladies you are worth so much! Take the time to go to the salon and treat yourself!! You and your hair will love it! Oh and a disclaimer!!, many ingredients in box dye are NOT supposed to even touch hair!
Who can afford it when I was a kid 100 was a lot to pay for hair but now it's 300 an up 😂I'll watch that TH-cam video and buy a hat least my water an lights will be on still lol
If you can..get your hands on L’Oréal Hilights. It’s a color that’s intended for dark hair. I’m a natural 4/5, so my hair is pretty dark. I’m able to get my hair to a cherry red. They have a nice color range also! I recently started using the copper color from the line. Highhhhly recommend It! Xo
Amanda Mazzola so it did actually lift to where you can see it? I'm going to be using the copper as a highlight on a very dark brunette & I was worried about whether it would lift right.
To fluke of makeup red head ! I’m a retired nurse sixty five This birthday . I love red hair too . But I wanted to tell you years ago as a nurse I took care of an elderly lady who had the most beautiful Snow White silver hair an I happened to ask her when she was young what color of hair had she had . She told me she as a young woman had been a natural reed head ! I thought that was so awesome ! She was so sweet too . Enjoyed your video . Thank you .
I really enjoyed watching your video! Thanks for sharing! I'm like you, I'm obsessed with red hair. I love redheads or red hair! I've been dyeing my hair red off and on for many years ever since high school. Which was back in the early 1990s. I've started out dyeing my hair a fiery red, and then I started bleaching it blonde. Then, I also went back to my natural hair color which is dark brown too. Then, I went back to red again. This was over a period of many years. I surprisingly didn't have that much damage from the bleach. That's because I conditioned, conditioned, and conditioned. Plus, I kept my hair and scalp moisturized with different types of essential oils. Tomorrow I'm planning on dyeing my hair a, "Natural Light Auburn," again. The brand of hair color I love to use is Clairol Nice N Easy. It is less damaging to my hair.
woow!!! this is the best red color ever! you look stunning! im dreaming about getting hair like that for years now, but always too scared it might be way to bright for my complexion. my face is more on the light side although i go to a tanning bed.
Thank you so much! Girl everyone looks good in red! You just have to find the right kind of red for your skintone! :D But if you really want a good tan going on you should try out Cocoa Brown in Extra Dark , That´s the one I´m using atm! :D
I didn’t brighten my hair and I just put the red violet hair dye on my dark brown hair color and it turned out incredible!!! I think if you didn’t bleach your hair, it would suit you more, but it’s your choice you know, I still like how your hair turned out though :)
So happy to see you back to red! Your videos have really helped me during my transition from black hair to red hair. It’s unfortunate the dye you use isn’t available in the US but I’ve been using light intense Auburn and I’ve liked the results. I also just ordered the nutri color creme so once that comes in i will redo my color since it’s still a little lighter than I’ve wanted and hopefully i will achieve the deep red hair I’ve been aiming for.
Is your real hair naturally thin? I’ve been trying rice water for hair growth and it’s been working like magic and I’ve gotten a lot of new growth on the front of my hair line... however you put it. But yes. Thank you for this video, it looks so gorgeous ✨💕🙏🏼
Next time it’s best to use a color removal like color oops or any kinda color stripper. It removals previous hair color build up so you don’t have to go straight to bleach. I had jet black hair and every year I always go back to red for the winter. I would use a color oops box from cvs or Walgreens and it would remove the jet black build up and leave me with a light caramel color then that’s when I would go in with a bleach.
There are color depositing shampoos and conditioners that came out within the last year and they're really awesome for refreshing your color and are SUPER pigmented. They're by Celeb Luxury and they have the vivids line (fashion colors) and the gemlites line (more natural looking colors). The color will last you for about two weeks or more depending on how often you wash your hair and it literally looks like you've just dyed your hair. I used their pink shampoo and my hair came out bright Barbie pink and washed out completely a few weeks later without ruining my blonde color. And NO DAMAGE.
Its the first video that Ive watched from you and I just wanted to tell you that you look really beautiful, you have an amazing glowing skin and that this highlighter is poppin'
Omg so happy you have a channel ! Just finding this out💗😭 I’d always see your pictures on google w/red hair & that’s what I showed my hairstylist that I wanted a similar color❤️ & now I love red hair sm ! ❤️❤️
Is it just me or are people actually so fine with the damage that they explain in videos?! Cuz im here like in a trauma living with hair loss without any recent hair dyes or bleach😭😭
You should try the water color dye process to dye your extensions! Arnellarmon recently did a video on it all you do is mix the hair dye in with some water in a bucket and dip the extensions and it works sooooo good and makes the process easier and faster
Omg your gorgeous & I was red just last week & I miss it already. I know bleaching on my hair type is extremely risky, I bleached it twice & will have too again since I went back dark. I’ve been doing coconut oil & conditioning treatments, I just can’t perm anymore 😭 it can get extremely unmanageable at times/retention. ❤️
I have freckles like you. I hate mine but it's so nice to see that your freckles haven't messed you up psychologically like mine did. I only wear long sleeves and things that will hide them and I live in the southern United States. You're so beautiful and your confidence is inspiring. Thank you.
My hair is bright red right now and I want to go a darker red like yours... I’m nervous if I should bleach my hair first or just apply a burgundy color on top of the red...!!! Ur hair looks great!!! 😍😍😍
Keri Forrester if going darker you shouldn't need to bleach before applying the darker color. If you dye hair frequently, keep in mind that it may take less time to process if the hair is compromised at all. Keep a close eye on it and your should be good!
I LOVE this! I did it to my hair and extensions and worked out Perfect, I also added Pravana vivids in red to get a little more red color. Can you do a video on how you get your teeth so perfectly white?!
I forget that people have to warn others about hair color bleeding lol, Im so used to it at this point. Have had my hair every color of the rainbow and been dying it for 10 years. I have a towel that Ive used specifically for my hair for the entire time Ive been dying it lol.
Coconut oil is NOT supposed to be used on your hair. It does absolutely nothing but make it greasy and smooth. The molecule is way too big to penetrate the scalp. Another tip! When dying your hair do your roots last. They dye faster that’s why when you bleached your roots first they were the brightest. :)
As a Hairstylist, for my hair,I use coconut oil prior to bleaching and put a little in my mixture. It comes up perfect ever time. And you're wrong, coconut oil does penetrate hair better than other oils and is good for the skin and scalp as well.
I know you said you don’t have Sally’s where you live but I know L’Oréal is a universal brand but you can achieve red hair from brown hair with their dye and developer without any bleach... you should look it up it’s way healthier and they have 3 shades to choose from it’s called L’Oréal high color highlights for dark hair only
I just came here from your lip filler video and I have to say the dark brown was so gorjous on you... it made your eyes shine like emeralds :D and you kinda looked younger...
Followed these steps to a T, unfortunately I haven't received the same kinda red as you yet. I'm hoping that the red depositing shampoo and conditioner and the revlon colour cream 500 helps to darken it a lot more (=
Gorgeous!!! I’ve been looking for this exact red but unfortunately I cannot get that particular shade it’s out of stock everywhere I’ve looked 😞 but the Garnier nutrisse medium intense auburn is available so I might try it hopefully it’ll be similar to yours!
YES!! Loved and love the red on you. I myself had a similar red as you a couple of years ago, but I got lazy and didn't want to dye it and such all the time. Also my roots are quite light so it didn't look good at all when my hair grew. Anywaysblablabla I love you hair! Du är grym! ♥
Have you tried L’Oréal high lift red, it will dye your hair red without the use of bleach. Because it’s a high lift it has a little bleach in the red color.
I would actually mix a Semi-dye Green color with conditioner and apply only at your roots for a quick-fix (green neutralizes red) and then maybe look into buying a darker color for your roots
For hot roots, lighten the middle half of your hair to your ends but not thru them and start about 1 inch from your scalp and then once everything is halfway processed mix a new batch of lightner and do your roots. And yes I am a licensed hair stylist so I do have some background on this lol.
Fluke of Makeup the hot roots are yellow so why mix green?? Are you even researching your knowledge before you post your stuff so all these ladies can fuck up their hair? Research next time my darling 😘
I bleached my hair and it came out orange , I love it want to keep it in the orange and red levels. What did you do after bleaching your hair? Did you shampoo with a purple shampoo 72 hours later or applied hair color instead? How many days did you wait to apply hair color?
I am a bit confused with your bleaching process can someone please explain it to me? You bleached twice? For how long? It says its a one day process but looks like this took longer? Thanks
Hi girl! Yes I had to because I bought the wrong type of bleach the first time.. Only lifted me like 3 levels or something and because my hair was dark brown I needed about 6-7 levels of lift.. They actually have red color specifically for dark hair at Sally's beauty supply. No prebleaching needed
@@hotmessexpressmama really

@Corrine Gogal sí y te digo que tienes razón.

I use the Schwarzkopf line to go red as well. Ruby red is my favourite! It produces stunning results, best I've seen from a box dye.

Gorgeous!!! I’ve been looking for this exact red but unfortunately I cannot get that particular shade it’s out of stock everywhere I’ve looked 😞 but the Garnier nutrisse medium intense auburn is available so I might try it hopefully it’ll be similar to yours!
She looks lovely in both of them ❤❤❤
YES!! Loved and love the red on you. I myself had a similar red as you a couple of years ago, but I got lazy and didn't want to dye it and such all the time. Also my roots are quite light so it didn't look good at all when my hair grew.
Anywaysblablabla I love you hair! Du är grym! ♥
Such a pretty color and it looks amazing on you!❤️
Have you tried L’Oréal high lift red, it will dye your hair red without the use of bleach. Because it’s a high lift it has a little bleach in the red color.
There are a lot of colours that you can use that don't require you to beach first..
Love your hair color, you look so beautiful with red!!
Aww thanks!!
Hello. Did you mix Garnier Nutrisse and Revlon? Thanks.
😍😍 this color is so pretty on you!
i dyed my virgin dark hair a bright burgundy hair it turnd out really beautiful but i had the HOT ROOTS problem any help? and u look GORGEOUS
I would actually mix a Semi-dye Green color with conditioner and apply only at your roots for a quick-fix (green neutralizes red) and then maybe look into buying a darker color for your roots
Fluke of Makeup , shall i mix a purple and red dyes to make it look darker and many thanks for your reply
For hot roots, lighten the middle half of your hair to your ends but not thru them and start about 1 inch from your scalp and then once everything is halfway processed mix a new batch of lightner and do your roots. And yes I am a licensed hair stylist so I do have some background on this lol.
Ayoosh Shawki listen to angel. Don’t listen to fluke. She legit has no clue what she’s doing.
