The woman that bought a Velar and didn't service it is clealy at fault. LR products need to be serviced in a timely manner and sometimes before the recomended service intervals. Many people skip on service because its expensive and then sell the car on to someone once they start to see issues arise. Then that unlucky person has to deal with it. Just because you can afford to purchase the vehicle doesn't mean you can afford the up-keep

When driven hard, a lot of city stop start and high or really cold temperatures it's best to do service more frequent. And it looks as if the woman didn't service the car at all. There is a chance that the damage isn't her fault but legally the manufacturer has the upper hand as it's a binding contract between you and them saying the vehicle will be serviced at these times at their or approved garages.
I think she is at fault for buying LR product. Should buy a Toyota. I don't even know where my closest dealership is. I maintain it really poorly. My first oil change was after 50k km. Now it has 300k kms on the clock. 16 years old. No failures. Still original Panasonic made in japan battery in it... I would love to buy something else... because I got so bored with it. But not fun of wasting money so...

I'm just here for the vids of various LR cars. I've had a D2, L322, D4 and now a new Defender 90. My D2 had some issues, the L322 had a couple but the other 2 were rock solid. That being said, because of various stupid things McGovern has said and done and because of the stupid property tax numbers here in SC, the Defender is probably my last LR for a while. If you find a good one then maintain it and keep it.

My 2017 that I just bought for $107.000 with the v6 Jaguar supercharged engine . 6 years later and a bunch of repairs oil changes on time but at 80.000 miles it blew a head gasket. So I got 4000 for the car. They are soo bad

I drove recalls everywhere in London and outside of it, most cars I was delivering: Land Rovers, BMW's and Mercs, of course there were other brands but these were constant. They are comfy and look great but crazy expensive to maintain.

I bought a new 2021 Evoque and sold it less than a year later. Lovely car but beset with issues. Very disappointed, espically as the dealer who sold it showed no interest in why I was going to sell it and the dealership's inablity to fix the issues quickly.
These are lemons, I still don't know why they are allowed to sell their cars in the USA, I'm suprised there hasn't been a class action lawsuit, these happened with 2000 models VW passat and Jettas. Having said that, they need to hire Toyota engineers/consultant to design and fool proof their engines, is beyond me why they haven't done this already.
I drive a 3,5 yrs old Volvo V60 Cross Country. After 2 years from new its 2.0 disel engine had to be replaced after just 70.000 km. All cars having issues. The more electronics you have built in ir the more complications.. means more problems..

Tbh its because regardless of the flaws etc there still really nice cars you get a lot for your money tech n luxury wise and there really nice to drive for the price point there at now its value for money compared to the comp x5 q7 cayenne etc if you compare 2016 models the range rovers are better value for money
My brother bought brand new from the lot back in 2021 and well well well. After 3 months later, that POS went to sht with all sort of Censor failure and supercharger. I told his ass to trade it back in for a Toyota corolla, still running till this day with only an oil change.
Why are so many paid PR against the range rover i bought range rover sports autobiography it's been over three months now I am extremely happy with the car. I saw now days after its new range rover launch,it has been hit in the market,since then so many nagative review going onn by some paid PR.
The more gadgets, more items to fail. The old advice is let some adventurers buy it new then you evaluate on the long run asking specialists wath motor specs are most prone to fail etc avoiding those problematic models and buying the robust ones. That is how I ended up with a 5.0 supercharger AJ Jaguar motorized instead of a 4.4 or so bmw oil leakers and those TDV6 gremlins. Happy owner till today.
Get a Toyota 4X4. There is no quality culture at LR.. You see the same parts failing model to model....especially the air suspension and rain leaks...and engines. ...and .... Don't you want to come back...
Toyotas are boring! They are reliable because Toyota just keeps re-using old tech and drivetrains. And all vehicles with air suspension have these issues. It isn't Range Rover specific. Mercedes S class cars are not great reliability wise and their GL models has the same or not more issues than RR but costs even more to repair.

RR's main problem is that they are a tiny company with only so much cash on hand for quality control. As such there are other, similarly complex machines from Lexus and the like that are vastly more reliable. Lexus, is of course, the luxury division of Toyota. The world's largest car maker with resources to spare for such.

Aunt leased a svr range in 2018.Was quick as hell and sounded amazing but right as the lease was ending the car started having big issues .
