How have timeouts worked with your fish? Do you ever have trouble re-introducing a fish that was on vacation? Leave a comment and let me know. Thanks for watching!

But I just moved to a new town and now have an African Cichlid breeder 10 minutes away from me (wild luck) so I'm leaving the community tanks behind for something new! It was a valiant effort. I loved the video. Straight up. I’m sorry things didn’t work out. African cichlids, especially peacocks are enormously stressful. I didn’t realize you had the one fish holding down the whole tank. I think you made the right choice.
I still think the right choice was packing that up a little bit with more fish. I still think it will benefit your tank in the long run.
I absolutely love the fish you choose I think they offer a variety of personality that should benefit.
Ironically, I also made an order to the same place you did and ordered three Victorians.
    (Pundamilia nyererei Pitch Black Fulu
    Fire Uganda Hap)
I went with your suggestion with the one fish. anyways, great video and again I think you’re making the right choice but it’s a bummer when it happens especially with the amount of effort I know you put into it until the next time.💪

I appreciate the kind words, man. I’m pretty sure if he hadn’t gotten whooped, he would have returned to jerk form eventually anyway. I really don’t like the overstocked look. It may work, but even when I had more fish in there, I’d still get the one guy stressing everyone (including me!) out. I want them to have some room. I might have gone that way if I didn’t have so many non-psychotic fish already. Let me know how you like those Victorians. They are my favorite. Thanks for watching and commenting, Steve!

Bummer. I'm planning on having some Haps, at least 15 of them in either my 75g or a 120g fish tank in the future. I chose the wrong most colorful ones that I could find from the local fish breeder. And I only chose the Haps that grow to 6 inches maximum. No peacocks for me. Even though I did have a Hap once in my 75g that was a bit of a jerk 😅.

My jerk is going to remain a jerk until another male grows up enough to challenge him. My strategy was to add PLENTY more rocks and stack them up so that there is a lot of cave pockets to hide. Worked like a charm. He's still a jerk but has less control over the tank. Other fish are relaxed and use the entire area now. But my cichlids are the small kind so there is plenty of room to remodel for them.

  • @katrose1701

I’m fixing to find out in the next 10 days o so if an OB that I had to remove rom my #125 ( because he kept the whole half tank to himself ) is going to be ok after he gets a chance to be reintroduced along with 5 new fish that are now #55 quarantine. Currently I put the OB in a #75 with a couple of fish his big size and let’s just say he’s not the boss in that tank, and he’s being kept mainly in a corner. I feel bad for him but other than him staying close to top corner he’s not being physically hurt. I hope that he does work out once put back into the #125 or I will be rehoming him because I wouldn’t allow him to stay in the #75 up in the corner to live
